I Built a DOUBLE Shark Fin! (and Other Trail Improvements)

- With much of the trail coming close to completion, there are plenty of loose ends to clean up, jumps to build, and ride around to cut. But sometimes a ride around is just boring. It's better to turn it into a feature, like a double shark fin!

We need one long POV shot of you riding the trail top to bottom with no cuts.
PLS would be nice
Definitely
would be nice
Hell, just post it on BCpov Raw
yes
My guess for the section after bob's bobsled: either a rock garden or spanning the swampy section - a wood bridge!
I absolutely love it when Yuka gets involved. She is either doing something hilarious or fearlessly sending something. Amazing stuff Eric, I don't want this build series to end.
I’m calling it after the shark fin he’s going to make the mud pit into a whale tail
@Cassidy Myler a whale tail.
A whale tail after a shark fin would be pretty cool
Was just about to comment that lol
Skinny bridge
@@mtbsareprettycool9826 😂
“Can you brush the hair off me”
*Yuca goes full attack mode*
The relationship that Yuka and Eric have is so nice
I think you should try the thing that backyard trail builds is doing. He is doing a "Subscriber Trail" where he gives his subscribers two options on what they want the next feature to be. P.S. I think he uses google forms.
I want to try that sooo badly! Love from Norway🇳🇴❤️
Worlds nicest trail builder for sure!! Nothing worse than having to send things before you're ready.
Amazing! When will we be able to ride it and where is it?
I love how these videos make my days go faster. I still remember watching your dirt jump from 2 months ago as like it was yesterday. Can’t wait until snow’s gone here in Norway.
I am from Alberta. And Nova Scotia. I often crap on BC. But this stuff.... Biking and trail building skills and work. Represent the BEST of BC. Kudos to you.
I enjoy your honesty when you have jitters and I enjoy the smoothness when you were able to go through it that helps others more than you realize
lmao Eric! Scared to hit your own feature that you've already ridden :)))
idk about anyone else but i want to see a gopro pov run straight through the whole trail
Thanks for inspiring me to make bike videos! I bought a GoPro a week ago so I can make them!!! :D
So fun when comes videos of the trail, keep the good work! Cheers from Brazil!🇧🇷
I'm a simple man, BCPOV post a video, I hit like THEN watch it haha,, never dissapoints.
Thanks for all your hard work building those trails !
I feel like the mud pit is going to turn into a stone trail. although he more of a flowy trail person so who knows
Can't wait to head west from Calgary this summer to rip this trail up! At least hoping that pandemic conditions allow me to travel there safely in a few months. Just a sick job on the trail though, super good!
Really gives you a respect for how much work has to go into these trails. It's so much fun watching it all come together.
totally
It seems like tradition that every time he makes a video about this trail there is bad weather.
Awesome set of additions. Now I actually have a chance of riding it ! Thanks so much Eric ! Looking forward to a trip wherever this thing is this summer.
It’s so nice that you built a mtb-track that is rideable for everyone!! Love ur videos man! Keep up the good work!
currently watching during geometry
I’m watching during geology
Currently watching after math
Hahaha
get back to class ;)
Hey Eric on the u can’t cedar drop make the wood rool go directly onto the drop landing so there’s no harsh bottom out when on the roll or casing the drip
These are the only videos that I like on your channel
You could build a big right hip landing on the other side of the wall ride that people could launch out of the high side of the wall ride onto. If you make it a big steep slope it should be possible to send it small to huge depending on where you launch out.
love how you include all riders
Love the content! Greatly appreciate the break down of technical features that I can only hope to try one day 🤘🏻
Definitely my favorite trail build atm
It would be so cool to custom engrave all the names of the features on little posts next to them or on the wooden features like Bob's Bobsled and the Yukan Do It Drop.
You do great work Eric wish I had trails like yours in my area
Crazy job !!! I maybe would have add a log to keep dirt on the stepup
Great stuff mr BcPov😎🤙🤙 Your vids inspires me a lot for my own little project over here in the Netherlands. The trail and feature ideas, several building techniques, it's all very useful and nice to see and watch😎🤙🤙
The Big Dumb Line was already the ride-around for the Yukan-do-it Drop, so now you have a ride-around for a ride-around lol. Keep at it and you trail might just become a trail system! (I kid - love trails with options.)
Always fun watching this series.
Continue building.. i like all your design..
The shave was awesome!!!
Yes BCPOV posted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please please please build a wooden bridge and a skinny exit. Also love the channel and that’s a mighty fine haircut dude. All the best from wet, board and still in lockdown UK 🇬🇧
You may want to rethink the placement of the mini-shark fin. It looks close enough at the entrance that it would be real easy to hit the corner of the wood. I'd consider sliding it a bit to the right...
I think you should make the mud pit a huge rock garden
I am loving these videos and your trail building! Very entertaining.
No hair cut needed, you looked just fine. I have to get to this trail in my lifetime!
You really inspire me awesome video
make sure the berm under the (not a) shark fin has loaaads of drainage, seeing as its got double its surface area of rainfall falling onto it running off the wooden part of the feature :)
Stone Starlet looks awesome, great work
You need a polaski to work in frozen dirt it'll cut the frost and allow you to get down to the undrozen ground
I think it's more of a shark fin. Great work on the trail. I love building some trails.
My favorite series on RUclips!
it looks great, you put so much effort into it nice job
i just got my first mtb after riding my bmx on the trails for ages its a trek marlin 5 hardtail and im so stoked
It's coming together!
Awesome work Eric!
I'm lovin' the trail
Meanwhile me who's local trail is just a forest with no elevation, jumps or drops whatsoever. Just a bunch of berms and that's it
@@alec475 Try finding a small hill and use that as a berm
@@alec475 ur welcome
I’ve been up to this trail and I can tell you man that yukando-it drop landing needs a lot more dirt
Thanks for the content!! Another great build.
Most of the riders who have ridden the shark fin kind of end up exiting straight, but if you had more speed and were coming off the fin in a kind of hip to hip transition, you might be liable to land in the slash pile to the right of the landing. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to build out the landing a little farther to the right - maybe with a bit of a berm.
A name for the wall ride could be the Wall Shark 🦈
The trail is looking SOLID. your features look super fun to ride! I’ll bet they’re quite a bit gnarlier in person!
Trail looks so great! Love from Australia
Gotta make the landing after the bobsleigh a bit wider for those who send it big from the top of the takeoff
Cant wait till it’s open
Awesome trail so far! Love from Northern California 🇺🇲
Awesome track builder 🤟
AMAZING content. Not only working hard on the trails but documenting it all! I know that takes work. Keep going man this is great ! Peace from Atlanta GA
Love how the trail is looking. Just a suggestion could you maybe do like one or more videos on building basic trail features like berms, tables and others for some of us that aren’t too sure on how we should build it up, I am sure it would be very helpful for people like me building trails that can be public or private.
Call it the Wallfin!
you should build a skinny over the mud pit called Skye's skinny and build a wider wood bridge as a bypass.
I’m in love with ur bike 😍
Man that is top notch work 💪
I know it’s a little different but if you ever go to Calgary in Alberta then I would really recommend the south Glennmore park pump track and maybe making a video on it
When are we gonna uncover a huge rock slab?
the mudpit needs a tiny wooden trail going over it, but then again your approach speed for such a feature is way to fast, it would however add to the variaty of the track. prehaps something for another trail
Great idea for the shark fin alternate route!
Looks fun, keep up the great work.
Maybe a rock garden in the mud pit!!
Wow - just noticed 314K subs - congrats on that. Well deserved. Hope you are getting some $$.
this trail looks so fun
Just make the mud pit a big ol rock garden. Drop in some Stones!
You should call the shark fin or wall ride shall ride, because it is shark and wall put into one. Hope you name it that 😊
amazing video, amazing trail, amazing youtuber
I love this and it’s my birthday today!!
The trail looks nice!!! amaizing work
dude this is sick! I gotta come ride with you soon bro
cool, cant wait for next videos!!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who builds something and then is too afraid to send it.
Those were some super satisfying timelapses!
These would be so sick to ride
Dude, so cool!
Absolutely a mission to come and see youre trail, greets from Holland 🤘🏼
Wish I could go
What an amazing trail you got going!
After the sharkfin/bobsled... rock garden, wood bridge/skinny... or tetter totter!?!?
hey bro i actually love youre vedios i like every vedio u done iam just 10 yrs old i really like yo vedios so much and now i cant even beleve you made the best trail its the best of every trail
Nice video can’t what to see what you do next
Looking really good! My local trail is just forest biking as there's little to no elevation in my town, keep up the great work!
Good job Eric! I am always enjoying your videos so much! As I am also building trails, I can really understand why you put the casepad after the drop... BUT, it seems almost impossible to case this drop so bad, that you need it, right? Someone has to fall of the edge without any speed... But for the rider's mind, it is a safety pad and give some riders more confidence and commitment...
where do built the lip after the rock jump ( min 4.40 ) there is a big stump that you could mabye jump over or even an A frame on it but keep the original jumps as a easier path
