I first saw Brit Floyd on PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) channel 13 in New York about 6 years ago during a pledge drive for the channel. Since then I’ve had the privilege and pleasure of seeing them perform live in concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The first time was for a tribute for the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s The Wall album in April of 2019. The second was for a tribute for the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in April of 2022. If you ever have an opportunity to see them live, go, run, don’t walk, I promise you will not be disappointed. They are the complete package. They are without a doubt the quintessential Pink Floyd doppelgänger.

Yep, eind 2014 waren ze in 013 Tilburg en vorig jaar november in de HMH. Er werd toen ook gefilmd voor de muziek DVD, die deze maand uitkomt. Kan je altijd die nog aanschaffen -;)

suddenly I heard a magnificent female voice and went to see
because it was out of the ordinary of what I usually listen to, only then I realized that it was another band and... equally magnificent!

Uma música bem elaborada, que demonstra o amor de mãe pelo filho. Um amor verdadeiro, de profunda proteção .
Infelizmente amor possessivo que prejudica, como tudo o que é em excesso e sem equilíbrio. Até amor de mãe tem que ter limites. Deixar o filho se adultizar é fundamental. Permitir o vôo dos filhos senão vai transformar a vida deles neste inferno... na última frase ele questiona: mãe, precisava ser um muro tão alto?

No caso a Mãe é possessiva e autoritária, esta canção faz parte de uma história que segue em outras músicas!
Descobri por acaso hoje, 10.10.2021. Vou procurar a original mas pelo que já li, esta versão é insuperável. Pra ouvir com toda alma!! Melancólica. Poética. Belíssima. A cantora é top. A junção das vozes masculina e feminina deu uma harmonia sem igual!!!
Infelizmente ainda vejo muitas mães nesse mesmo padrão, superprotetoras. No fim criam homens extremamente dependentes, que sofrem as consequências pelo resto da vida e que lhes trazem muitas dores e dificuldades de relacionamentos.
Deveria ter aulas nas escolas, de como deixar os filhos voar e viver suas próprias vidas!!! Como dar liberdade vigiada, pra que os homens não sejam tão fracos e dependentes de suas mamães...
