Is there a particular time of year where water propagation is best? I just bought a plant but one of the stems broke...will it propagate in water since it's already September?
Warmth speeds germination so warmer months are best. You have nothing to lose giving it a go. Just change the water every few days. If you have a sunny window ledge try popping it there.

How old do you think the mums are that you buy in The Big box stores. I guess I'm asking how long does it take for the mums to get to that size
