You’re right that is something missing. I also need some more gain with preamp setup. Basically it’s useless the Boost in preamp situation, it’s only a clean volume..which is the same with the Level of the drive
Your channel is very cool, keep it up, but I hope you will increase the content of the headphones test because you are very special in it, keep it up my friend, your content is amazing❤
@@MadSteex My concern, with a combo amp. It won’t really function any different then my tube screamer, or boost, and delay pedal. I feel like this pedal is 100% designed for a real amp situation. I’m a huge Jeff Loomis fan. I also have Michael Amott’s wah pedal. And one of his Korean import guitars. But with my Boss Katana, I play on clean channel, with a Amp Tweaker Fat Metal Pro 2. That’s where I get my distortion. The Amp Tweaker even has a built in boost, AND it’s own send and return. Plus I typically play my Edwards Alexi Laiho guitar. Which ALSO, has that built in M-4 boost. If I bought this Jeff Loomis pedal, it would be a 100% sentimental/collection purchase. Logically, if you have a combo amp, and already have a few pedals. It doesn’t make sense to drop the $300.
@@9hk38fIt sounds like garbage through a combo. I have a katana too and I returned my Devil's Triad Essentials pedal, it was horrible lol.. Sounded like a crappy, fuzzy overdrive. Not a true Jeff Loomis tone in my opinion. I tweaked my katana, use the Dual Rectifier with a tube screamer and it does the job. I was truly disappointed with this pedal. I thought it would give me a Dead Heart in a Dead World tone but I was sadly mistaken lol..
@@omnamahshivaya6299 I ended up never getting it. Kinda figured. Thanks for the input. I’m sure the pedal sounds great. Through a proper cab and tube head. I mostly play through headphones, straight from a Hotone Ampero m100.
Thanks for checking it out! 🤘🤘🤘
I wish there is a toggle that you can change the sequence of boost and overdrive section to add more gain in a Preamp setup.

Thank you for your lovely comment! I really appreciate it ☺️, yes I’ll make more test on headphones
So if you have a combo amp, it isn't going to do much?
Yes it will work of course! You can try also in front of the amp as normal, the 4 cable method can be used also with combo amp, just needs the fx loop
