Ghost Rider wins. That Penance Stare is nasty af🔥💯 It only gets worse the more sins someone’s committed, and Wolverine has murdered A LOT of people….. not to mention the innocent bystanders that happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time while he goes on a killing spree 😳
Wolverine can't remember large chunks of his long life. Though, he doesn't know what he doesn't want to know. His sins still stain his soul. Penance Stare would wreck him. This fight would be a breeze for Ghost Rider.

5:18 that's not how it happened. He didn't sell his soul to the devil to stay alive. He did it to save a life of his foster father crash Simpson, who was diagnosed with cancer. And the joke of it as he wound up dying in a motorcycle stunt gone wrong afterwards.

As Stan Lee himself said "when you ask who is going to win you don't need to look at seats or accomplishments of the different heroes you need to think about with the writer wants to do because the writer is going to be the one to decide who wins" so honestly I'd like to say that neither of them would win in a fight because both of them would win in a fight depending on the circumstances

Rob I’m so glad I can finally give you a bit of Comic Book knowledge because while you focused on Xmen. I was a diehard Ghost Rider Reader since the 90’s.
Mephisto didn’t exactly create Ghost Rider. A Hell Lord by the name of Zarathos gained enough followers that he thought he could overtake Mephisto.
Mephisto didn’t exactly beat him straight up he wasn’t sure if he could but he’s Mephisto found a way to win none the less after weakening Zarathos.
Then made Zarathos his slave as punishment and put a fraction of his power into mortals. Creating what we know as Ghost Riders. Not unless it’s been retcon. If Ghost Rider gains Zarathos full power he would then manifest as Zarathos on the Mortal Plain. All this happened during The Original Midnight Sons event not this new age version.
In terms of Raw Power Zarathos rivals Mephisto. Hence Mephisto didn’t take a chance facing him head on without him being nerf first.
Which to me makes Mepphisto arguably smarter!

Logan is my dude since 1992. when my 3rd grade self taped every episode of X-Men The Animated Series. But being honest with myself my guy is out classed by The Rider, Zarathos is literally the spirit of vengeance. Range and Magick attacks can't be cut, pummeled or stabbed.
I'm no canonically competent scholar by any means, but wouldn't Wolverine be able to instantly tell that The Rider had nothing to do with the assault at the mansion by scent alone? Im always fascinated by the depth of these conversations
They usually mention in various wolverine comics where he gets into the magical side of things, typically when demons are afoot all wolverine can smell is brimstone.
So he can identify that there *is* a demon but he cannot identify where or whom.

Well you can argue Ghost Rider literally leaves no scent, either by magic or by the sheer virtue of the heat he emits basically "purifying" him (like Johnny Storm not needing to shower.)
Honestly take your pick, its comic book logic. At least this time it's a more light-hearted plot "hole" than... other comics lately

I see ghost rider beating Wolverine. I don’t see him being able to beat the penance stare or the supernatural prowess of ghost rider.

I have to say Ghostrider wins. He has so many abilities. All wolverine really has is his adamantium skeleton/claws and his regeneration. These things make it near impossible to kill him by normal means but Ghostrider is even more unkillable/powerful than him by a large margin. He could burn Wolverine down to his bones. He can also use penance stare as a last resort. I think a fight to the death between the two would be wild.

Well Marvel in their hierarchy did class GR as level 6, and Wolverine as level 5. So GR is indeed superior.
Yeah GR should definitely win, I’m not sure if it’s still apart of continuity or not but it used to be that only magic or a holy weapon could actually cause damage to GR so if that’s still a thing then I don’t even know how wolverine could hurt him.
I also agree ghost rider should win, but I don’t think it’s a given. Wolverine’s whole deal is punching up - even if he can’t win, he is very difficult to actually really beat. Nowhere near impossible, but it requires a level of determination that is normally very personal. Also penance stare … can I just say there are characters I would *not recommend* using that on. Characters where it will only make things far, far more dangerous. Banner, Wolverine, even Thor. With Wolverine specifically, it strikes me as eminently possible he’d go full berserker mode. Even ghost rider would probably view that as an unnecessary risk, and I don’t blame him for a second.

Ghost Rider is one of THE underrated ASS KICKERS in Marvel...i think he would pummel Wolverine, and I dont mean in that Wolverine wouldn't stand a chance, but that Ghost Rider would just offer too much and be too relentless with different kinds of attacks, especially since it's like u said, a PERSONA, and that Ghost Rider wouldnt hold back and shit....

If GR used his penance stare I'd bet it would send Wolverine into a berserker rage. So that isn't the ability everyone else seems to think it is.
Wolverine’s weakness is the same as any human’s in this case, he has guilt, so penance stare would take him out bc look at how many wars he’s been in and how many lives he’s taken and plus ghost rider had fought some pretty intense battles with Doctor Strange.
There was a canceled cartoon after the classic 90s one called woulivereen and the xmen. Where Xavier is talking from the future and Wolverine leads this younger xmen its very cool i think it got one season

Well it deff would be a awesome spectacular fight. But off of feats, wolvi vs hulk, hulk won. Ghost rider vs hulk, ghost rider won. Wolverine has a incredible healing factor, ferocious attitude, antamantium bones, many years of fighting and surviving. Ghost rider fights demons, supernatural entities, beat the hulk lol, he himself is embewed with maphiseto power. Wolverine also has done things in the past he is haunted by. Exp when he was a controlled weapon. So if ghostrider used the penace stare. Game over. I know I'm not a long time reader but u can tell he is haunted by the mistakes he made

Ghost Rider is just SO much more powerful than Logan, so Ghost Rider would win in a true confrontation to the death. HOWEVER, Ghost Rider is the spirit of vengeance, so Logan would have to have done something to incur GR's wrath first. Wolverine does have lots of sins under his collar, so I'm guessing GR could tap into that. A Wolverine penance stare would be insane!! But Ghost Rider would win, how could he lose?
How can wolverine overpower ghost rider in anyway?
I don't think Ghost Rider's able to *kill* Wolverine, except maybe by actual suffocation. Which is possible.
I can't see Wolverine managing to overcome the chains. Between the burning, and the flurry, he's going to get caught eventually.
I can't see the Penance Stare keeping him down for too long. He's had his mind screwed with so much, so intensely, that even if he couldn't resist it, I think he could recover rather fast. Especially if he's in a berserker rage
I think he's been the victim more than a predator to innocence
The penance stare move was strong enough to render Dr. Strange (an accomplished telepath) comatose. If he can mess with Strange's mind then he certainly can wolverines. Now Wolverine may be able to recover from it but I'd say that Ghost Rider would eventually win the fight. Also if the penance stare does not end the fight, wolverine would be severely weakened, giving ghostrider the upper hand. Also I'd argue that it is much harder to kill Ghost Rider than Wolverine.
@@super_seaton9016 adamantium is hard to penetrate for phaser's and telepath's and when he gets attacked mentally he goes into berserker fight mode similar to Hulk's rage mode (less powerful of course) which isn't about thought rather survival instincts instilled in all creatures i.e fight or flight. I don't think it would him the advantage it has on other more powerful foes.
Dont get me wrong Ghost Rider is badass and of course Ghost Rider would win 9/10 times in his own comics and 6/10 in Wolverine's because his are more about taking pain then dishing it out lol. Im a big Wolverine so I had to give him 1 in the Ghost Rider comics lol.
@@tepangora1388 The penance stare is a visual attack. He will gain direct access to his mind from his eyes. Unless Wolverine's eyes are also made of adamantium, it should still work. I know this because the penance stare is ineffective against blind people.

The Penance stare would work but would far less effective and only slow Wolverine down momentarily and likely causing his berserker rage to kick in.
Wolverine has been put through both the most and worst types of mental/physical pain far more than any other character except maybe the Hulk (Guts is probably in 3rd place ;).
An example of Wolverine dealing with something similar and why it would be less effective:
When Wolverine had the adamantium ripped from his skeleton (to which they were bonded together) by Magneto.
While retreating in the blackbird the team were trying to help and saw his healing factor was closing wounds then re-opening them gain just as quick repeatedly over and over again.
Jean Grey tried to help stable his mind in hopes it would his body and jumped into his mind.
She saw Wolverine nailed to an X with all of his enemies taking turns attacking him over and over again which is some what similar to the Penance stare does.
While all this is happening the Blackbird takes damage and a hole in the side of it causes Jean Grey to get sucked out of the Blackbird which is when Wolverine instantly comes conscious and grabs Jean in a nick of time.
So not only has his mind taken something similar damage but his body has also and yet he can still snap out of it if need be.
Sadly/Ironically Wolverine has gone through worse pain plenty of times since then all would agree the worst is still yet to come lol. :)
Its not even a fair match up as Ghost Rider is on World War Hulk level, where Wolverine is not.
Ghost Rider would dominate 9 out of 10 times, just not many (if any) of those wins would be via the Penance stare rather his other powers like Mystical Chains, Hell Fire, Super Strength to KO Wolverine like the Hulk has done many times before and more than Wolverine can remember lol.

@@lazynerd3211 In the event where Hulk came back and wanted to kill the ones that sent him into space Dr Strange said that GR couldn't stop Hulk because Hulk wasn't evil. Fighting against evil made him stronger. I think it is because the Rider's job is to find the evil things and send them back to hell.
Without the evil, he's strong, but not stronger then Worldbreaker hulk.

Was this in the silly Cosmic Ghost Rider saga? I find it hard to believe that Johny Blaze could do this.
As for Galactus not being evil, I will have to say he's committing evil actions by killing the populations of worlds.

GR likely can't kill Logan, but he sure can get damn close. But if he hits him with that Stare, it's over.
The stare might break logan, but It's liable to send him berserker mode as that's his happy place. He's already described how detached the part of him that feels guilt is when he kills like that.
I imagine ghost rider repeatedly incinerates wolverine but can't keep him down. Tries to the penance stare to put him down mentally, watches wolverine have a full on breakdown, deems him no longer a threat, transforms back to blaze and gets back in his bike, gets chased down and cheapshotted by an absolutely feral wolverine babbling incoherent nonsense and hallucinating about past battles while bounding about on all fours
Hellfire melts metals. Why wouldn;t it be able to melt adamantium the same way Antarctic vibranium does?
