In the same way as I find it to be true of Sign of the cross . When I first heard FOTD it was the rock in Rio version which has so much energy that when I finally heard the studio version , it just sounded limp
Although i disagree with some of what you guys said about the songs on this album i really enjoyed listening to your views. For me its slightly better than No Prayer' but both are near the bottom of the IM album pile. Sometimes i even forget that they exist lol. I think you would be forgiven for being scared for IM at this point. Are they finished, could they turn it around?😉
Thanks for your continued support Dale! Yes the beauty of music is that it is subjective, and we all have our own favourites etc, but I think you are right in that most fans would agree these albums are near the bottom of the pile. I think in the early 90s few could have imagined the band would be where they are now!
It's my 2nd least favorite Maiden album but I do rate it a lot higher than you two. Great songs: Be Quick or Be Dead Childhood's End Afraid to Shoot Strangers Judas Be My Guide Fear of the Dark Good Songs: The Fugitive The Apparition Bad Songs: From Here to Eternity Wasting Love Chains of Misery Maiden's top two worst songs in their entire catalogue: Fear is the Key Weekend Warrior
Afraid to shoot strangers is some tune
Excellent review
