This videos helps a lot. I’ve been looking for a proper install video and lot of them don’t really show in depth of how to install them. Came across this video and it helps. I recently just bought myself 65ft of Govee lights.
So helpful, I was tryna find a video where it actually shows how to step by step set it up, All them just review it and booom done, lol.. Thanks you've helped me alot!!!!
Thank you! You were the first RUclipsr that actually went through all the steps. Whenever I tried watching a different one it’s more sped up and people just show them putting it on but from afar. But you explained it well and did a close up! Just gained a new sub!❤🎉
It looks like the brackets were installed upside down if you want the light strip to be closer to the top corner of the wall where the ceiling and wall meet. I am glad that I watched this video though. I purchased Govee lights for my nephew's room and they cannot be cut. Great video.
I've done the same thing in my Room... I have mine connected to Samsung SmartThings and Alexa and I have routines for all my Smart Lightts (LED Strips and A19 Bulbs.)
Thank you sm for the helpful vid! I couldn’t find any other tutorial that had the exact same strips I bought Just installed them an they look great this help me greatly :))
where is the electric socket /plug , we want to see how you managed to hide it and not litting up allowing only the installed rectangular piece to light up.
Its plugged in, in the far right corner of the room. Its not hidden but its camouflaged because my walls are white. This video is about 4 years old. I reinstalled them without the brackets after 2 years, and they are still up without any additional reinforcements. Unfortunately I won’t be recording anything else regarding LED lights. I feel this video was thorough enough.
Mine didn't come with tape... so how do i stick it do i need to buy tape myself 😭 bruh another drive. When i took the tape off the strips it wasn't sticky... i couldn't stick it on my walls
Mobile & the remote. For more questions, reach out to the manufacturer. I simply made the video following the directions to a T. I also don’t have children, so I am unsure of how they would handle it. I’m pretty sure it depends on their age.
Oh my god girl, has anyone had the problem of turning off ur govee lights and it still glows certain colors in random areas when turned off?? Someone helppppp!!!
Mine wont even stick😭 and yes i used the wipes and they still wont stick and now they are starting to loose stickyness and i tried to use those little braket things they don't even help it stick😭😭😭 and i didn't think my walls needed to be cleaned i tried to stick them on didn't work kept trying didn't work then i tried the wipes didn't work and now they are starting to loose sticky ness what do i do pls help
Not sure what to tell you. I didn’t experience this. Hopefully you returned them & tried a different brand. My walls are matte so that probably played a difference.
When you put on the bracket things do you need to put in the screws aswel?
No. Honestly u can skip the brackets. I was being paranoid. The strips will stay put, as long as u wipe the wall well with alcohol.
@@SerrinasChannel ok thank you
Idk were to put mines

Aww thx love. & the lights are a fun addition to a room.
Are you able to take them off and move it to a different room? My lease is up in 5 months and I plan on having those lights for a few years
No. You’ll have to buy new lights.

I have more than enough for my room now. What happens if I cut it so it can perfectly fit my wall?
At least on the LEDs I have, there are certain areas that are specifically made for cutting. Sorry for the late response!

Do you have a textured wall or smooth wall? Mine is textured I wonder if it will be more of a hassle
Do these provide enough light to illuminate the room when its dark?
Yes!

Did u have to apply heat to the light strips before putting them on
No

U installed them with those long ah nails on????? Goddamn you are extremely talented lmao

Very good video you did a great job keep up the good work 🎉
What is the use of alcohol pads?
To remove any dust, that may keep the lights from adhering to the wall
@@SerrinasChannel thanks
My leds say I have to blow dry the strip and then hang it but like do I have to can’t I just hang it-
Thank you so much!! Help me a lots ❤
Suppose i have to change the way of lighting and i want to stick it differently will the adhesive work good the second time as well?
Not sure. It will definitely weaken the adhesive.
l love it so much
Mine didn't come with tape... so how do i stick it do i need to buy tape myself 😭 bruh another drive. When i took the tape off the strips it wasn't sticky... i couldn't stick it on my walls
Did u use alcohol before the application? If u did and it still didn’t stick, I suggest reaching out to the company, to get a refund.
lol gone use a staple gun 😅😅
You probably took it of wrong it happened to me once !
Where did you buy them from?
Amazon. The link is in the description
This was so helpful! Just got mine in the mail and was confused asf 😭
The actual led bulls show… why didn’t you cover to diffuse lighting?
Because I didn’t want to diffuse the lighting
Can I use normal power switch to use the lights? Or how would kids handle it if they want to? We can control this light only using mobile?
Mobile & the remote. For more questions, reach out to the manufacturer. I simply made the video following the directions to a T. I also don’t have children, so I am unsure of how they would handle it. I’m pretty sure it depends on their age.
do i have to put the lights half an inch down from ceiling or can i put it very close up to the ceiling?
U can put them wherever u want it wont affect anything
Nice good detailed video
Those the app work on any led light brand?
No
would this work for an Australian set up
Idk im in America, ask the company, they would know best.
Oh my god girl, has anyone had the problem of turning off ur govee lights and it still glows certain colors in random areas when turned off?? Someone helppppp!!!
No, if you have an issue with them, reach out directly to Govee, and they replace the lights for free

How did u put the secund roool on the same pulg ?
The 2nd one is connected to the main plug. So it already comes that way.
Am I able to move where my remote thing is after I stuck it on
No. U’ll have to re-apply adhesive

What do you do with the rest of the leds ?
Store them somewhere
I threw them away
mine leds are 3 pounds..
MY LIGHTS DO NOT CONNECT TO THE APP?!
Contact Govee
You must like dots, need to use diffuser channels ...
I like the way it turned out, I dont “need” anything. If u dont like how it turn out, feel free to refer to other videos.
Is hard to put them mine don’t stick a lot 🥹
If u don’t wipe the wall, they won’t stick.
are those wall brackets necessary? my last leds didn’t have any of that
nvm u said u don’t really need them haha
No, I installed another set of lights, without them and it was fine. They never fell down.
