Love hearing from Vaughn! Love his insight! And I am a Trump person. The man is a treasure. Keep the content rolling Andy, and I will be listening sir!
Whenever your dad, Vaughn, and his iconic beard make an appearance on the podcast, it becomes a must-watch. I truly enjoy hearing his perspectives on current events and the advice he shares. Thank you both, and belated Happy Veterans Day! P.S. Any guest is a must watch in honest truth.
Most of your guests are very good or great but Papa Stumpf is the GREATEST and I never miss an episode with him. It would be great to see him with some of his old time buddies chatting 👍
I wish I could have spoken with my father this way. I appreciate these interactions. I haven't had much hope since the election. It isn't about the platforms of the parties involved. It's about trust. It's nice to see an honest interaction. Thank you Andy for what you do. And I agree with Michael, that everyone should be evaluated on their intentions, not their skin color, sex, or anything else. Thank you Andy.
I would give anything to have the opportunity to speak to my dad again ( He was a sailor too on the Chicago...Not a Corpsman but still loved him) especially to troll him on a pod. Andy my brother, you are truly blessed and I hope the Father continues to watch over & bless you and your house.
Love, love, love when your dad is on. Michael too. This made my day. My biggest hope for our country is that we can see each other as Americans again, not red or blue. Demonizing one another for having different perspectives and beliefs has made social media such a boil on the arse of humanity. I left X, Twitter, whatever a long time ago. I follow mostly nature stuff (and you) on Instagram, but I don't post. I keep FB to keep up with friends and family, but if I were to cut everyone out of my life who views the world differently, I'd lose a lot of amazing people. Long winded thank you! Came to see his Santa beard, gonna listen while I clean.

Vaughn is such a damn legend. Appreciate the candid insight as far as lived experience. Love seeing the dynamic between all 3 of you - Yes young michele included.
I love when you have your dad on your pod cast. He reminds me of my dad that I feel like I am having a conversation with him again. Thank you Andy and Vaughn.
I love hearing your father speak. He has great wisdom. My father was born in 1947 too but we lost him to cancer in 2022. Both of our fathers are similar in character.
My dad passed in 2012, these conversations with you and Vaughn are great to see, mine wasn’t into conversation. It’s easy to live vicariously through you and your dad! Great episode!
That thumbnail…what I’d give to have been able to spend more time with my Korean War frontline vet Artilleryman First Sergeant grandpa. He died a month after I turned 17. God knows I still miss him.
My mother was strong (sheer face rock climber). People born in early 1900’s did a lot of physical work. She taught us to do physical work. My brothers and I all chopped wood, gardened, mucked stalls and coops, moved hay and straw bales. We had gym classes from elementary school through college. If you came from an industrious family, you were physical.
Andy should do one friday episode a month whit Vaughn! The Mans a Legend! I seriously thing about taking atrip from Sweden to Kalispell just to buy him a Hot Chocklade..
Andy I look forward to you taking over the santa roll from your dad when you grow up and can grow an epic santa beard. Sadly you will never be able to match your father's santa beard in it's glorious snowy white but maybe one day you will look as seasonally epic as your father.
This is going to be a great one! I think it would have been cool if your oldest was on this episode as well! But i haven't even clicked play yet, but i know it is going to be a good one!
Can anyone remember which episode of Cleared Hot Andy was talking about “it being javi time”? I can’t for the life of me remember which episode it was or find that episode again.
You were asking Michael about his experience with racism as a young person in the US. I can give mine. I’m 20. I’m from PA lived my whole life here lived in the city and the country went to private catholic high school. My best friend in the world during high school was a black kid. I still go see him every once in a while. I’ve been to something like 26 states all up and down the east coast from New England, to the Chesapeake, to Florida. I’ve been all across the Midwest, south west. I haven’t been to the PNW or Montana, but working on that for next year. But I all those states I’ve been to most of those were in the last 3 years. I have met every body from Midwest nice to Chicago city people to natives, Hispanics from south of the border most likely 1st generation, hillbillies like I mean “the hills have eyes” hillbillies. Every single person I’ve met from all over the country were so nice never had anyone be racist, sexist, any ist or phobic towards anyone in the conversations. Not just on a superficial level of knowing either. I’ve been in Boy Scouts since I was 7. I’ve spent a ton of time in New Mexico at a Boy Scouts high adventure base on trek with people from around the country and staffing with people from around the country they were all some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Every walk of life. It did not matter. Sure there were a few dicks but that’s gonna happen. But the vast vast majority were awesome people.
With the stuff Vaughn has said in the past about Trump and the republicans, I’m surprised he’s so objective and calm about all of this, but I like it. Should have expected it
Papa Stumph is the definition of a true American, someone who thinks for themselves, can see both sides of the argument and can disagree with someone and not hold it against them. If more people were like that it would be a much better place to live.
Always enjoy whenever you talk with Dickbroom Actual. You probably get lots of suggestions for guests, but I think you should invite your sister, her husband, Shawn Ryan too
Andy you have no idea how much its going to mean to your sons one day to have a good relationship with both their dad and paternal grandfather. My dad spent many years being a POS and his dad an even worse POS. Always wanted that tight lineage like you guys have! Im sure you do already but cherish it my friend, its rarer than you think!
My dad is 77. I’m 29. The oldest man who had ever lived in his entire family lineage was his older brother, who had passed at 74… Y’all please pray for my dad, to whoever y’all choose to pray to.
Also, in the Declaration, “All men are created equal. That they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights. That among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Nobody gives a shit. Establishment clause and historical opinion of the founding fathers clearly demonstrates respect for deistic and theistic thought and the expression of *free religious practice* but no legal or moral obligation to Christian law or authority. You theists really ought to embrace secularity, it truly has kept the other zealots from prosecuting you for heresy more than it has prosecuted pagans or atheists.

Today, I am a conservative libertarian. I am socially liberal, fiscally conservative. Don't touch my money, stay out of my house, let me live my life, you can live yours...
What confuses me about all these issues is the President changes every 4 to 8 yrs. With that comes opposite belief changes as well. There is no certainty.
Vaughn was saying you could have Bi partisan reduction of Government. I do respect his optimism but then his next words defined the core issue "it is all about greed" This has been the issue in government forever but especially in the last 30 years. I agree there are good business minds on both sides that know what to do, but the majority of coat tail riders that only want reelection still outweighs them. That is what the last election was all about. It was not Democrat or Republican, it was more about trying to get some new people in positions of power. Hopefully people that are ready to make change instead of saying words to get elected. That is why the Democrats lost, they were worried about and had the wrong talking points. The people they presented were so ridiculous it made them impossible to vote for. Now will this new administration work? I am hopeful due to the fact we have a really different cast this time. What brings doubt is the machine will not let go without a fight and we are about to see an epic power struggle. The only way we win is if regular people take time out of their lives and do what they can to help the leadership and in turn the leadership has to stay the course and keep kicking at the door. In the next few years some of the worst career politicians will finally be getting too old to remain and how we fill those spots will be the defining point for the next 10-20 years. I am a 50 yr old small business owner (24 + yrs) and this was my first time voting. Prior to this election my answer was always "doesn't matter who wins I control my own destiny" but during the past four years I have really felt something different in the air, it has started to feel like I cannot outwork what is happening. The chips are being stacked too high against us. To have politicians talk down to everyone while spending and running debt/interest out of control is insane. It is like everyone is afraid to be the one to admit (on both sides) how poorly things have been run and now society has to buckle up to fix it, meanwhile society has been buckled up anyway because everything has ran wild and unchecked for so long. It doesn't add up but I hope the new cast can actually do what they say. To me it is like CEO's and stocks, Politicians and government, Athletes and sports. There is really no incentive for them to perform because they get theirs no matter what. Put people in power positions like Trump/Musk/etc, they don't need extra. I believe that is why the republicans won. They have a bunch of people that don't need to get involved but they did and that resonates with regular people. There is so much to fix they will definitely need to hammer out a precise order of operations, it all cannot be done at once and the order will be a delicate balance for the trajectory of the country.
Democrats whole thing seems to be about “feelings and social issues”. Everyone understands(not saying everyone practices)treat people how you want to be treated. But making sure everyone is nice to each other and being inclusive isn’t going to help the border, prevent WWIII, fix the economy etc… There are HUGE real issues that need to be addressed and that is why the election went the way it did. Also, racism isn’t as bad as they make it out to be. Are there racist people? Of course. But it seems the left portrays that The Klan is in every corner and lurking to get you. I have lived in the South my entire 46yrs of life. We elected Obama, and he by far broke records in number of votes. Wouldn’t that inherently prove we aren’t a racist country. Then he comes in and almost immediately starts calling half the country racist.
While “God” is not in the constitution I believe the word “religion” is in article 6 and the first amendment of course. Also the closing line is “in the year of our Lord” which is a reference to the Christian calendar.
That would be a good choice but I personally think that he( like Jocko Willink , Leif Babin, Jonny Kim and Brian Stann) should run for some kind of political office at some point in the future. But like Jocko, Andy Stumpf doesn't seem to have any interest at all in politics and I can understand why but I would argue that now more than ever, more veterans like them should run for office. They know how to lead. I'm a big history buff and I would love to see another President like Dwight Eisenhower or John F. Kennedy( both of who were in the military and were war veterans). Obviously, it's not a requirement to be President( nor should it be) but I do think that it would help to inform the person's decisions and actions as Commander In Chief if they themselves served.I have a hard time respecting Trump with his being a draft-dodger.If the military wasn't for him and if he didn't believe in The Vietnam War like Muhammad Ali, Bill Clinton, Bruce Springsteen, Cheech Marin, John Lithgow and Jimmy Iovine and if he was a conscientious objector, that's different but he just comes across as having been a coward who didn't want to go to Vietnam but was fine with other people going( at least the conscientious objectors didn't want ANYONE to go, not just themselves). But speaking of veterans in politics , I'm one of the people who is really hoping that the Governor of Maryland, Wes Moore( who would make a great guest on the Cleared Hot podcast) runs for President in 2028! People keep calling him the ''Next Obama'' and he's made it clear that he isn't trying to be the next anything but it's clear that there are enough similarities between the two of them for people to see him that way. With The Democrats scrambling to rebuild and to recover from the 2024 election loss, I think that Governor Moore would be a strong Presidential candidate( and unfortunately, Vice President Harris just wasn't that and I hear that the Democrats are even blaming President Biden for Harris losing).
That’s right! Shakes his head at racial segregation like he’s better than. Hey big guy, pack it up from White cornbread Montana and go spend some time on the west side of Chicago! See how much you like diversity then.
IL is always a perfect example of Shitcago/dense urban area, just screwing the rest of the state. So much of the population is north and always go blue but what folks fail to realize the rest of the state is for the most part red. Vaughn is just the best!
Andy... Perhaps in the former special forces, skydiving, coffee shop owning, podcasting community, there is a lot of racism... i am a long haul truck driver, and I can tell you there is very little actual racism out here. Boatloads of stupidity and willful ignorance. But very little racism.

With The Democrats scrambling to rebuild and to recover from the 2024 election loss, I think that Governor Moore would be a strong Presidential candidate( and unfortunately, Vice President Harris just wasn't that and I hear that the Democrats are even blaming President Biden for Harris losing).
@ My brother in Christ, the suggestion was clearly not serious. Plus, I bet Andy would rather die than have that job.
🤣🤣🤣
Don't forget West Virginia all red. 🇺🇲🇺🇲.
24:03 Andy are you a liberal? Or you just don’t vote so you can play the greater than card. Good people on both sides of the aisle. Come on
And both sides thinks that they’re right while the other is wrong…pretty sad game.
That’s right! Shakes his head at racial segregation like he’s better than.
Hey big guy, pack it up from White cornbread Montana and go spend some time on the west side of Chicago!
See how much you like diversity then.
Not what I got out of that segment at all.
And he plays both sides of the fence, so he has no conviction and his dad is a Liberal
IL is always a perfect example of Shitcago/dense urban area, just screwing the rest of the state. So much of the population is north and always go blue but what folks fail to realize the rest of the state is for the most part red. Vaughn is just the best!
I don't give a damn about Black Rifle coffee I don't even like Evan
Andy... Perhaps in the former special forces, skydiving, coffee shop owning, podcasting community, there is a lot of racism... i am a long haul truck driver, and I can tell you there is very little actual racism out here. Boatloads of stupidity and willful ignorance.
But very little racism.
