Party member here! I can recommend Holy Fire and Holy Shock using Zeal for Paladin leveling. I'm using Act 2 Combat Merc that has the Prayer aura (life regen) and an Insight runeword (mana regen). Meditation gains the Prayer buff as well so you get double life regen effectiveness.
I remember the days, spending 1 stat point too much in Strength or anything else meant a remake of the character. Delete character and start over from lvl 1 because re-spec didn't exist. (Re-spec was something that came to life in Patch 1.13) Looks like this Mod basically corrects allot of things that wasn't possible back in the day.
Respec came with 1.13 patch, it's not a property of this mod in particular...but yeah, it does introduce some nice balance and quality of life changes.
Not maxing hurricane is a big mistake imo it does so much dps so when you get to NM cows you just destroy em with no issues so you can farm up your lawbringer that you need for your merc. other than that the build seems fine. I would also just take points in wolfs for meat shield if you feel that you need it but I didnt feel like I needed that before hell and at that point I just switched completely to summoner and dropped ravens. Also the poison creeper does insane dmg vs bigger packs since it spawns additional poison vines that stack so you should max it when you switch to pure summoner.
Hey, if you're looking for +Skills, there's an easy runeword that can help too : Ort+Sol on helmets (I think i'm right, haven't played D2 in ages, but I remember I liked making the RW usually^^). And btw, this is nice, I might try this mod soon :)
Im guessing this will be a good build in hell cows level? Today we'll be able to kill cow king over and over without losing the ability to open the portal. Cows are so stacked together I guess the splash damage from ravens will crush them.

We're playing the MedianXL and PoD atm... wish you'd give MedianXL some coverage... it's not quite Diablo anymore.. but if you can refrain from thinking "Oh this is not the same..." and see that as a positive thing! Then it's quite fun... it's challenging :) flashy... bit over the top. Same concept as a good pair o' boobs... Should really try it! Its really funny i got into a D2 mood a week before you posted your Path of Diablo and have just had to play my base game on single player. Ive been having issues with my installer so i cant install path of diablo. I want to play so bad. keep the vids coming, this is so cool to see

I was bored before I completed the initial highest difficulty setting in D3. I can't imagine how the game would be fun with simply upping the difficulty. Diablo was incredibly non-interesting to defeat and the game just feels like you could disconnect your brain and plow through content.
Get a crystal sword from normal cows. I don't know the iLvl, but it will always get 4 sockets. When you get one or if anyone knows the correct iLvl, post the iLvl plz :)

Yeah Diablo 2 is quite friendly for self found as gear requirements (depending on build) are not too stringent. Add to that runewords, cude crafted gear and plenty of options for farming and you're good.
They also need possible added sockets on all shields, except for 4 socket shields. Making shields like bone and grim shields viable and making it possible to make a spirit in a large or kite shield.
They don't die. They have a hit limit and then they despawn. They can only hit 3 times and you have to recast them. It was the same in vanilla, but the hit count was higher (10) and the birds themselves were INCREDIBLY weak.
yes they were reworked in PoD. Instead of the normal A3 Mercs they now do Vengeance and have Auras. The cold Iron Wolf (now called offensive) now has Meditation aura. The fire Iron Wolf (now called combat) now has Thorns aura. The lightning Iron Wolf (now called defensive) has Cleansing aura

You need one if youre playing on Blizzards servers. Those modded games on private servers or offline cant check. Private d2 servers are tolerated by Blizzard, i guess Blizzard doesnt have any future plans with d2 :)

Druid hell was a breeze with Wind druid due to its cold + physical attacks (you almost never see physical + cold immunes in the entire game - think i saw one during an entire all difficulties run) and the damage output itself was huge. Yeah, splash damage makes zero sense.
I know I'm a couple years late but placing a melee splash jewel into a socket adds that effect to your ravens. It helps a hell of a lot.

Respec in game came with the PlugY add-on, I believe, in 1.10. 1.13 just added an official way of doing it.

Your crystal sword was either magic or rare if it only got 1 socket. It has to be white to get 4 sockets.

Yeah limited to 800x600 because at higher resolutions the mobs can't attack you and you can outrange them so it's kind of cheating heh

Because it's a damn fun game in it's own right, and although PoE is much better and has a lot more to do overall D2 is still a different experience.
