John Bowman is a humble and kind man. I spoke with him at a concert in Detroit quite a few years ago. He is obviously more than just talented. He's gifted by God. He plays multiple instruments, and has a fine singing voice. I know he worked and works hard to be able to do what he does. But when I spoke with him before they took the stage, he wasn't the least bit arrogant or braggy. He downplayed his talent on the banjo, saying he wasn't very good. I think he was still learning it, but made it talk that night during the show. I wouldn't have known he hadn't been playing for years and years if he hadn't told me. They are good people. I have loved their music for a long time. Just kind hearted Southern folk, who love the Lord. They've had their hurts, as we all have. Lord bless them for serving Him full time in music and ministry.
i was there that night in beckley west virginia when john was there i ask him to sing this song,and the woman he was talking about giving her life to christ was my best friend praise god she gave her life to him that night and out of this world concert thanks to the isaacs and christ

It is called Salvation. When an individual realizes they are Lost and truly under conviction, then if that person prays with all their heart they shall be saved.Not repeating a prayer someone told them to say but,from their on heart. And yes I am Missionary Baptist! You don't give Jesus anything but Honor and Glory. Jesus gives us Salvation. The Bible says it is a gift.Everyone is a creation of God but, unless you are truly saved you are not a child of God. The Bible bears it out.

Goodness, you sound full of anger and bitterness. We all need to pray for you, I think. Hopefully you could just let the music bless you. The little personal story is of interest to some of us that have known these folk over the past several years. A great family, a sweet love story, what's wrong with sharing that?

Nice Music, but you took too long to start the music, Before you guys even started I KNEW you were going to do that and I actually forwarded the tape to avoid having to watch it. I could tell by all the self-rightous smiles and the way you were all looking at each other, Obviously you are better than the rest of us and need to save us. I think the story of their sweet love for each other was wonderful. I don't know why you feel this way, but I thought is was so funny and sweet. And I don't think you should call them self-righteous. Jesus has truly called them to sing for his glory, the reason I know this, is because their songs has gotten through some of my darkest hours, and helped me so much. Thank you Lord, for giving them that talent. I love this family so much.
I totally agree with Mary. You should never judge anyone for the Bible says in Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. Praise the Lord for this family and their ministry for Him. It has truly blessed me and my family over the years. Ever since we knew them. They are so, so and so kind. One of a kind. They are real people of God. True hearts of gold.
