For anyone wondering, the AR platform Marui recoils have a stronger recoil impulse owing to the recoil part of the gearbox being within the buffer tube. I have both the scar-h and 416D, and prefer the 416 any day of the week

So I’m not a scar L owner, instead a Scar H owner, however I believe mostly everything that applies to one, applies to another. I love it to bits despite its flaws and I agree with your honesty as well as the pros and cons. It’s definitely practical and rather easy to learn but not perfect, but a mosfet and a tight bore would, for me, make it much closer to perfect. And if it ain’t FDE it ain’t right!
I’ve just upgraded my TM scar with a titan gate Mosfit, metal piston, m95 spring and tight bore barrel. I now use 11.1v batteries… massive different in the recoil feeling !
I had one for years, sold it for gbb's. Once you get into gas blow backs it's hard to go back to aeg's again. Only electric gun I have is a asg cz scorpion and bren 2 for cold days and loaner guns.
I see you suffering through this man, I feel ya - once you've had blowback, you'll never go back ^^ I would be tempted by the WE SCAR (especially the CQB RATech new model) as I already have the AR mag compatibility with the HK416, T91 and L85A2, but I can't really justify it I guess... especially not with the FAL and Uzi dropping any week now >.
@@jager139 actually as an airsoft gun it's been surprisingly good 😅 I've been using it a lot since getting it as it's pretty consistent and you obviously get a lot of barrel length and range, I'll probably but the RATech adjustable magnetic NPAS bolthead in it at some point. Check out my latest vids 👌 Noisy though. And smelly. Action is right next to your ears and nose 😂

I’ve got both TM SCAR and MK18 MK18 having more recoil with it But SCAR outlooking are really really good! And pretty unique as there are many AR in the market but SCAR did not. TM NGRS is one of the best option in those region that have a pretty hard restriction in the FPS like 1J region AEG with realistic, not bad at all.
I had one of these, and ended up selling it to fund another MWS, I used to have a collection of recoils but after understanding how the gas system worked I went over to that platform. Now I just have my TM 416 devgru as my only NGRS, and the rest of my collection is GBBR! 💪
GBBR is cool but expensive and to maintain as well. I just play with my custom Hi cappas and stick to AEG. Much more competitive and the performance can be amazing if tuned well. Don't get me wrong, I love the realism of GBBRs but there are just more expensive to me. Maybe in a CQB environment they're great but not outdoors.
It’s not that expensive to maintain, just a clean every now and then and you’re good. They’re pretty easy to work on as well. I’d say for a high end AEG, it would probably cost more for upgrades and servicing. That’s just my opinion.
I owned one for about 4 years and sadly sold it 1 year ago but one of the best aegs I have ever owned and used. it was the closest I ever got to running a gbbr rifle without messing around with gas and cleaning but I still love gas. Not to mention the gun was completely stock for the time I owned it and nothing broke.
@@BadaBingPictures they got the base gbbr stuff pritty much bang on now so I don’t think it would take much to make a gbbr scar. If they can make a gbbr shot gun anything is possible aha
Even with a LEVIATHAN Optical Mosfet, the locking semi-auto is still a problem :/ You can't spam the trigger as much as a PTW or a GBBR carbine. But actually it just need training to spare your ammo and shoot only when you're sure to hit :v

So is there any feeling of the mag running empty? By the looks of it there isn't. That's just another thing AEGs can't replicate, that noticeably different cycle on the last BB (if the gun has a bolt hold open). BTW I have a 3 AEG policy, a CQB, an assault and a DMR. Not that it does me any good, they keep having problems. The first time I took out my LCT G3 from the drawer this year it failed on me. AGAIN! Sounds extremely whiny and lost around 0.8J of power, something must have broken in it. And people say GBBs are high maintenance. Unfortunately nobody seems interested to make a FAMAS GBBR so I may have to suck it up and get a 4th AEG.

If I compare the 2 versions, their prices in France : - ARES/Cybergun : 479 € - Tokyo Marui : 599 € (what th f**k???!) Have this marui Scar H and VFC GBBR version. I kinda think its always better to pick powerfull ar-alike aeg for forest skirmishes, rather than go for this joke-like compromise from Marui. That is NOT recoil and the gun shoots just average.

Anyone got any recommendations for a first gas gun and best place to buy in the UK I'm looking to go with gas for summer and rock my Bolt 416 just for winter
The WE G36c isn't a bad place to start if you want to keep costs down a little. The route I took, was to jump in feet first and buy a TM MWS, wasnt expecting it to take over my attention quite like it did. I only had 1 mag and was plinking away in the garden and just loved the response from the gun when I pulled the trigger, so next day I was back at the shop to get 3 mags so I could take it to a cqb skirmish that weekend. Now here I sit 4 and a half years later with the same MWS that has had a shedload done to its externals and internally i have only replaced the hop rubber a few times and the nozzle return spring. So if you can afford one of the higher renowned GBBRs (TM, GHK or maybe VFC with some minor mods) ied go for it personally. As far as where to buy I try to work with my local shops and get them to order me stuff in - it keeps them open and alive and if something goes wrong I have a close point of contact

Erm, there isnt any ? 🤣 A slidey bolt mech/thingy doesnt make it a recoil SCAR😄 Having said that, i do have an NGRS H Variant set up as a DMR - not for "teh recoil" but cos its damned accurate make it a recoil ( imho)

the stocks break on the real thing too, not just on the TM. Its why a lot of people swap them out, that and UGG!
Loved my TM SopMod but sold it... If I want heavy recoil I use my Bolt aeg M16a4 or my Ak74 gbbr.

I believe the NGRS guns have a special follower in the mag that disables the gun from firing when it is up. Not 100% sure though

@@chspg_alvis Hah. If I remember correctly this intro was filmed in the summer of 2020 and the ice cream was melting rapidly! So I had to lap up the melted cream and replenish with new scoops in between shots.
