As a pianist I can confirm this, and there's nothing odd about it. Playing the piano is like performing dance moves on a keyboard and it's just as fascinating to see!
The transcription is by someone calling themselves E. Hoskier. It’s available in a piano compilation from Schirmer called 59 Piano Solos You Like to Play. Copyright 1936. You can probably find it online somewhere.
What a great work this is . Consider all the different arrangements & orchestrations that have been done . This piano arrangement tops any others I have heard . Hats off to any pianist who can pull this off .
Hello. love your piano music.^^ you play the piano very well. And I like your cam angle too. I may both see your fingerings and pedaling at the same time. It helps the beginners as a reference. and also let the whole theme more completed. ^_^Nice job will you upload more piano videos in the future?

I am just learning to play this beautiful piece of music and would love to get the sheet music for your version as it is more complete than the version I am learning for the left hand. Thank you.
I am pretty sure it's the Edward Hoskier version. I have been looking everywhere for it, and it's nearly impossible to find. I know I located it once about two years ago, and if I ever do again I will post a link!

@@davidgibbs7573 Lang Lang is nothing but an accomplished pianist and does the “unorthodox movement” of expressing lots of visible emotion when he plays, such as smiling. Music is art, and the pianist is an artist. Just because one’s art is different and unique from others does not, by any means make that artist unaccomplished.
@@Insert-Retarded-Reply-Here Endless hours are spent by the student learning to play the piano in order to develop the muscular strength and dexterity in the hands and fingers necessary for control of the instrument. Without this control the hands are forced to perform all kinds of contorted acrobatics in an effort to produce the desired sound. This person demonstrates none of the required skills and is therefore limited in the type of music that she can play. The comparison with Lang Lang is absurd. One can smile 'till the cows come home but it is not going to enhance one's skill on the piano.
I agree with david gibbs. I was bothered by the fingers. But the arrangement is superb. I'd just listen and not watch because i feel like the fingers are just too odd for me.
She didn't claim to be an "accomplished pianist", so why judge her on that merit, anyway? And who cares how her hands look, really? I didn't. I cared for the performance. Anyone familiar with music knows it's not something that's "watched", but *listened* to. A revelation to you, Mr. Caveman, you are welcome. This is not a ballet, anyway. If it bothers you that much, turn off the video and just listen to the piece. I swear, old men bags of bones from early XX century judging women in this day and age is the worst thing and a major setback that keeps us moving backwards. Thankfully, your time is up and you'll be gone soon enough.
As a cellist this was great to heart. Most people sound dry. you got something.
Finally was able to find the arrangement that I learned! Great work!
Do you know where I could find the sheet music then? I also really want to learn this piece and adore this arrangement!

Your hands move in a smooth and elegant way which is oddly satisfying. Great job!

This piece is beautiful it reminds me of Liszt liebestraum amazing pieces
Amazing!!! Great sound quality. Might I please know what microphone you are using? I thought I shed a tear.
Wow

This arrangement sounds better than Siloti's arrangement played by Rachmaninoff which has lower melody
So beautiful! I love this arrangement. It’s played in Florence Foster Jenkins too
Different arrangement in the Movie.
It's the "E. Hoskier" arrangement.
Arrangement Hans-Gunter Heumann, I am learning it now!

Whose arrangement are you using for this performance?
Loki ep 4 ❤
You play it beautifully! Unfortunate that you didn’t play this on a grand piano. We’d be able to hear your beautiful tone in a singing voice.
En violin y violoncello me gusta más es muy hermosa
does anybody know where I can find the sheet music for this arrangement?
What’s the arrangement!!!!!????
Could you share the sheet please ? Its SOOOO NICEEEEEEEEE
It may be very hard the sheet of music. If the music is nice then it will be hard. The nicer the song, the harder
It's true
@@maying805 then what? For something they want the sheet music, it will be all right if we practice. Nothing is imposible :)

What level is it?
It's like watching an Octopus dance a ballet on the keyboard....the weirdest finger movements on RUclips.
Why on earth would you compare this to an octopus?
