The new function, Replay on the DNA250c is amazing. Was wondering if the last few pulls held any flavor
The Replay feature seems to be perfect for dripping & squonking. The amount of puffs you get ouf of a RDA is insane and instead of each puff being totally different in terms of temperatures they get evened out.
just to clarify with ya mr.biker. the owner of squid industries is a u.s. navy veteran who struggled with homelessness and drug addiction before finding vaping and his calling in the vaping realm. a portion of profits made from squid industries sales goes to veterans, quite obviously, but also, and most of all, he does a lot of donating to autism. he has 2 high ranking officials in the company who have autistic children, and that's where the majority of his donations go to. this was told to me about a month into my vaping life by the owner of the company himself, and I'm kicking myself in the arse because I cannot for the life of me right now think of his name. dammit! but now u know, and knowing is half the battle

This replay on something like 75c sqounker mod will be great by looks of it , no dry hits without using TC

That replay function seems like TC for people who got convinced it was complicated based on poor interfaces and release to mass market before it was really ready.
It would be great if Evolv added the auto-TCR adjustment to the TC side of things, as apparently you have to learn how to vape in watts before you can use replay - I have never used fixed wattage for vaping, so it seems that until they add that ability to just work with (in Brandon's words) anything but pure FeCrAl, it doesn't offer me (or the 10% of DNA users who like me, only use TC) anything at all.
But just standardising on stainless steel and having that as the default setting out of the box will probably be as close as China can come to emulating it, which would still be a huge leap forward.
Nobody is expected to actually vape at 400w, it's purely there for the pre-heat of complex coils with huge thermal mass.

I think you have always used compression to present a professional radio style sound but.. some change has brought out a lot of sibilance. S sounds and tsk tsk are now unnatural... My take on it. 100 watts with one cell? How? I'm a huge evolv fan boy and I hope they're not going down the china route and putting out chips that don't have true wattage, cuz from what I understand evolv is like one of only a couple companies if not the only company who's boards do legit wattage
You can get 100w in boost mode for wires or 100w pre heat for TC settings on a 75c board now , its been out since December update , i posted links on todds review for mirage on how to
"any mod with temp curves etc" won`t be redundant because Evolve`s boards are expensive, and not everyone has the money, or wants to spend 100 bucks for the board alone ;)

And 400W capability is just future proofing, there are coils out there that will take 300+, so.
Next year the smok "lord off the universe" tank will come out at it will need 500W or something lol
But a 75c LV mirage can be found at 85£ an other 75c as low as 50-60£ on china sites so not that bad price wise ,
since evolve will repair board past warranty of 12mths
others usually dont so buying cheaper mods you end up buying several anyways for price of a dna its worthwhile , some are cheaper a full mod than board alone
I have 20 dollar mods that to TC with NO issues..
And the only mod I ever replaced was a smok treebox, not because of the board either...
