People have had enough of these people who think they are entitled to block traffic. The most disrespectful, uncaring bunch of hypocrites.
To me they deserve what ever they have coming to them. Blocking the road is not the answer. It shows them I mean "them" What kind of people they really are don't care about other people or what is going on in their lives.. I saw a woman who was desperately trying to get her kids kindergarten to pick them up in Germany. The kid was sick and the mother was crying an yelling those activists that she has to get to her kid but they ignored her. It’s mental.

I will never understand why it is that people want to exercise their right to free speech by breaking the law of blocking traffic. An action that both turns the protest from legal to illegal but also makes enemies out of the people whose minds you were trying to change.

Whatever happened to road *side* protests? If you get a big enough crowd, rubber necking drivers will slow down traffic for you, and you end up getting tons more eyeballs on the protest itself than blocking the flow of people past the protest. But NO that makes TOO MUCH SENSE. Like someone said, it seems like these people don't even believe in the movements they push and are just sabotaging them.

I was pleased to find out this week that some of the biggest funding entities of JSO, have pulled funding because they are finally seeing that these methods of protesting are having the opposite effect of their intentions.

I'm fully supportive of climate protests that drive progress, but not in that manner. Even if I were offered payment, I wouldn't place myself in the middle of the road. This not only risks angering others and turning them away from the cause, but it's also a danger to the protesters.

If something happens to the child or the mother as a result of the delay in getting to the hospital, yes you have the right to press civil or criminal charges but you would have to prove criminal intent or link the delay to the injury or worse

We need to make very clear and explicit laws that this is a form of kidnapping. When you block the public road and traffic is this backed up, the honest citizens are now being forcibly held against their will. They can't turn around and go back. So this is a form of kidnapping and you should legally be allowed to drive at 3-4mph and NOT stop. If they don't move, they will be run over.

It is pretty clear that the majority of folks do not sympathise with or support such actions. This means that these actions are counterproductive and do nothing for the cause. Protestors should always be held responsible for the results of their actions, and should be liable for all costs and wasted time. Names and addresses of these perpetrators should be made available to everybody affected.
exactly..all they are doing is ticking ppl off. i watched one (uk i believe) where the authorities made them get off road but allowed them to gather on the sidewalk corner . amazingly (ha!) the publics attitude changed and instead of ppl cussing them out they were stopping to listen to the prostetors stance on things. Amazing what you can accomplish when you are not forcing ppl to see things your way only.
*People should ban together and block the entrances to these people’s homes so they can’t get inside…. But do in the name of protesting blocking public roads. In the reverse, you know they would be ticked off and irate.*

They don't have much choice. Say a hurty word and they're accused of police brutality. The only reason the Park Police, in Nevada, got away with it was because it happened on Tribal Land, which is sovereign.. That neither have to nor will, put up with foolishness.

Some of them so old they can barely walk down the street, yet they are playing in traffic. They should be held in jail for several weeks to get the idea of where their headed if they don't change their behavior.
Maybe these climates jerks are taking elderly people out of elderly homes and putting them out there. They only take the elderly that unfortunately don't know what is going on anymore. 😳 The young idiots are kidnapping our defenseless elderly with dementia and throwing out in the middle of the roads!😳
