For everyone asking (and i showed this in the video) YOU CANT SEE THIS FROM UNDERNEATH. So no. no one ever noticed. Not when the lift was done, or the inspection we has last year...OR even the COMMERCIAL VEHICLE INSPECTION i had before i bought the van. YOU JUST CANT SEE IT FROM UNDER THE VAN.
OMG Chrome, we just contracted for a new roof. Once they pull it all apart, you find the hidden problems. It broke my heart, it is our home. We had contractors up there and they said the roof was fine! Well the roof wasn't fine! It was a horrible experience.
OMG 😳 Your ambulance is 👀 tough already. Do they make splash guards so that the water doesn’t get up in there so bad? Maybe this is why your new bridge has came to you. When one door closes another will open. I’m sad for you as well. We get attached to our rigs. Much love and patience to you!
Floor pans are easy and not a hard job to get done.. I made my own floor pans from an old Maytag shell cut and bent the panels. Then I think lines everything on the underside. It is not that bad of a situation and it is repairable.

Nothing lasts forever! The van has been a great home for you, but the ambulance came along and it sounds like it was serendipitous! How much of your van could you incorporate into the ambulance? It could be the best of both!
Thanks Chrome, since the last time you call me and told me about your van, I look under my floor and found 1 inch of wet mod AND some rust.... But I also want to tell you, YOU made your life better NOT your van.
When we were youngsters, we'd just steal a cookie sheet from mom's kitchen and bolt it to the floor so our feet didn't go through. Rust happens on the coast in the Pacific NW. That van's name needs to be Rusty.
You got tears in my eyes..it is your home and you have had so many great adventures in it..at least you found it and someone knows how to take care of it and fixed

It'll probably be fine with a few replacement floor pan panels. Just make sure they clean out all the rust and use weld through primer so you give it the best chance to stop it from coming back.
These things happen, it’s a pain in the behind, but you just have to roll with it. Once it’s done you’ll be a lot happier and knowing it’s 100%. Mate, if you’re happy doing what you do, then crack on with it. Keeping things real is why you have such a following. 👍😷

I remember in the 70s growing up in Michigan.. my friends family had a station wagon.. as kids we had to be careful getting in the backseat... pretty much the carpet was the only floor.. had to put little pieces of wood on the floor.. just so we wouldn't fall through 😳😐... live in Houston now never had rust on any of my cars trucks or vans.. dont like snow ice or salt 🤔 Stay Weird Chrome and Cruz ✌😎👍

One day when putting in the wires for seat heaters and the engine charger I took out the front carpet and ended up pulling out EVERYTHING in the cab, I had a few small holes I fixed and then grinded down the whole inner cab as it had surface rust all over, especially behind the dash. It was in the end a much easier job than what it looked like and I'm so happy I did it. It's horrible to sit in the van and know there is rust behind every carpet and plastic panel..

Chrome, don't freak too much. I have a Jeep that's getting redone. Both floor pans in the front are being replaced, the carpeting and headliner as well. Where the battery sits had a huge hole. The metal had to be fabricated and welded. The toughest part about the floor pans is the time it takes to replace them. You got this.
Sorry for this set back. I bought a van in Oct 2020 and have just recently been able to work on it. was going great till I got to a really rusty spot in the floor by the rear wheel. Thanks for the advice of looking under the carpet or anything else. Now I am afraid to look under floor mats in front. Will watching you fix this problem with a drink in hand.

I think the rain is beautiful. Not "miserable." We are already in Wildfire season in Northern CA. We will probably evacuate within a month or two (7th time, we've been IN in 3 Wildfires). Worst drought ever, on record, in California.
Be grateful for water, for rain. I think replacing the bottom shouldn't be the biggest upgrade. 🌧 Keep up the positive outlook, Chrome!
Yeah it's not that bad. It just looks bad. Cut the old out. Drop the new one in. Just like the rocker panels.
It's nice to put a positive side on a negative situation. It also helps you have the resources and know the right people to help out. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful day.
Army of the Dead was the Zombie movie and it was AWESOME! nice to see ya Chrome!😻😎💙💛
Chrome thanks to you... You saved and taught all of us how to buy a vehicle. You saved a lot of people from buying something that could be a lemon. Thank you Chrome for you, Cruz, and your van. Bc without you I wouldn't have learn all the wonderful things you have taught me since I have found your channel. Thank you for living outside the box.
Thank you for showing me how beautiful Canada is bc when my cargo trailer is built out I am headed to your Canada to see all the beauty I can. I have already checked out the paperwork I need to visit from Florida. And I can't wait. Who knows maybe I will run into my favorite RUclipsr 🤔😆😂 that's you silly.
