Yes, it took Jeff to turn dead jihadist terrorists, into a great comedy act. It took real curage as well, wondering what the Muslims woud do to him. But it turned out Achmed was very popular in many Muslim nations as well, indicating many of them are fed up with their jihadists as well, and ready to turn the jihadists into comic figures.
He pulled this off because social media was like it is today. And people was whining soft crybabies like they are now. That was a different and better time. Now everybody cry and bitch about everything.

My friend and I were at this show. We were absolutely EXCITED to see one of our fave comedians live! And man.... Jeff and the gang sure didn't disappoint! They're always hilarious but they were even more hilarious seeing them live. We laughed through the entire show and left that night with sore ribs from laughing so much. I was thinking this exact thing when I saw this. He definitely fine tuned his craft over the years. Him talking this fast and the delivery being too fast isn't as funny as he is now with his pacing and delivery. But that's the beautiful thing about experience.
Jeff said in an interview that The Dead Osama was just a skeleton decoration that he bought from a Halloween store, and modified it to be a ventriloquist dummy, so it didn’t have the same functionality as the other characters. He made Achmed, and all of the others, from scratch. Peanut is the only character currently in the show that Jeff didn’t make himself.
I don’t know why, but I just love how he went so fast through the show back then, but now he takes his time, and really enjoys the moments. I love Jeff Dunham! 🤣❤️

Great video. It had all the ingredients that made Achmed great, including the skeleton, the "Silence, I keel you", and complaining about his many wives, but with a Bin laden beard instead. The big addition with Achmed, is the expressive eyebrows and eyes, and a better voice.

Don't get me wrong. I admire what he's done and continues to do. How to get rich playing with dolls, I mean puppets. He has an amazing talent and uses it to maximum effect. I imagine when he was a young lad he took a lot of grief for his choose career path. He who laughs last gets to laugh hardest, loudest and in many voices. I hope he keeps it up for many more years. I was lucky enough to see the very first version of Achmed. It was during a show at the Irvine Improv. I was there in the front row. It was the funniest live show I’ve ever seen. 👍👍

When it was actually called the Arts and Entertainment channel. Back then, he only had Peanut, and I think Jose Jalapeno (on a steeck).
I was there for that show, it was my first live comedian show and I'm so glad it was my first because Jeff is one of the best comedians I know. I know this isn't likely, but Jeff Dunham thank you for your amazing work, I don't know if you heard me there but I was the guy always screaming "YEAH!", and just thank you for all your great work and I wish for the best for you and your diverse family

It took guts to pull-off this one in 2003, only 2 years after 9/11. Causality tolls rising. I am not sure whether I would have laughed back then, some of my friends/acquaintances/connections were dead, injured, impacted, or at war. But Dunham pulls it off beautifully. Thank you.

I can see much of Alchmed’s early jokes. Funny puppet but I am glad he waited a few years and created Alchmed and not stuck with this puppet.

I was there for that show, it was my first live comedian show and I'm so glad it was my first because Jeff is one of the best comedians I know. I know this isn't likely, but Jeff Dunham thank you for your amazing work, I don't know if you heard me there but I was the guy always screaming "YEAH!", and just thank you for all your great work and I wish for the best for you and your diverse family

It took guts to pull-off this one in 2003, only 2 years after 9/11. Causality tolls rising. I am not sure whether I would have laughed back then, some of my friends/acquaintances/connections were dead, injured, impacted, or at war. But Dunham pulls it off beautifully. Thank you.
