    || THIS EPISODE || First things first when we got back to Maine…TONY’S DONUTS! These are a Nickerson family tradition, and Jess loves the creme horns at Baker's Bench, so Corey and Lily made sure we were welcomed home the right way!
    The best part about being back home in Maine is being reunited with our family, especially our nieces and nephews! Leaving family was the hardest part about hitting the road, especially the girls having to leave their cousins. Technology is what has allowed us to live this life, to run our businesses from the road and still keep in touch with all of our family members. FaceTime, family text feeds (if you don’t have one, you need to start one!), and using the Marco Polo App have helped us stay connected with family and friends while traveling. This is also why we started our RUclips channel in the beginning, to share with them our expereiences on the road.
    We finally got to see our friends’, Jeff and Katie, new Super C RV that they travel in part time with their 7 children! It was an awesome upgrade from their 36’ travel trailer. They are considering towing a smaller trailer behind the Super C, and we can’t wait to see how that works for them!
    We were so excited to check out Corey’s brother’s new shop while we were home, as well. Lots of you ask about the 320 on our shirts and hats. 320ink is Corey’s brother’s screen printing business and 320 is the temperature that the ink needs to reach to cure on a shirt! Drue’s story is motivating and inspiring as he built what is now one of the biggest custom screen printing businesses on the East Coast from a couple machines in his basement.

    Cream horns rock. I remember as kids riding our bikes around our small town and going to the bakery. I always got a cream horn. I remember hollering at my cousin....HEY LOOK......and when he turned I blew on the horn and all that cream exploded onto his face. It was like...OMG.....I don't have any cream....just an empty horn. But the flakey horn is the best part.....YUMMY!

    The drone of the light house in the beginning..... Love It!!!! I put on 10 lbs just looking at those doughnuts and pastries. Maine is at the top of our bucket list and will be the first LONG RV trip we make. As of matter of fact I have all ready been talking to some Harvest Host Location planning places to stay (Booth Bay craft brewery). We want to see the North East into NOVA Scotia down thru Canada (Montreal, Quebec, Toronto), back in through Niagara Falls.

    From one mainer to you all, Love the pics of Maine! We are on our journey to traveling full time now and your video had me a bit sentimental for the family including my two grown kids that will be staying in Maine. I hope that we have given them enough "wings" so they feel free to fly to new adventures just as you are showing your kids. Thanks again!

    Your videos have brought tears of joy to me. But this one I was wiping tears as I was laughing. I have lived in Maine for a long time now so being from Maine only makes this video of your visit home even more sentimental. The love and the connection to your families is so pure and connecting.

    We just found out today that my Brother is getting remarried and in September we're headed to what I really consider home. Our families birthplace and where my folks are buried and my Sister and Brother live. We actually lived there for 8 years and raised our Kids to Adulthood there. We have one Daughter still in the area so we get to see our Grandsons. Will be a two day drive each way but worth every moment of it. This year seems to be about home for us, both Northern and Southern Illinois trips. You guys look so excited to be there!

    Beautiful Lake house . The Super C RV is gorgeous .I would have loved today's technology while I was in the Air Force August ' 71 - May ' 75 . I was stationed overseas in Zweibrucken Germany June ' 73 - May ' 75 . Cory your brother has a beautiful home . Where y'all are from in Maine is so beautiful there . I was suprised to see the CarnivalCruise Ship . I thought all cruise lines were shut down cause of Covid19. There use to be a historic sailboat that use to sail locally here in Florida . Several years ago it sank & the capatain & I think several other passengers died . So sad .

      @@FindingOurSomeday I grew up spending summers at my grandparents home in So. Portland about a block from Willard Beach. They've been gone many years but Maine still draws me back often. My ancestors have been in Maine for 7 generations so I think it's just in my blood! LOL!

    Excellent Video, Maine is such a beautiful State. A few years ago I spent several weeks in Maine for a project, spent a fair amount of time in Augusta and Portland and loved every minute of it.

    Corey what a great job of filming this video. Love Maine. It’s beautiful. Never seen Maine before. You don’t hear of Maine except in weather reports. Beautiful. Glad you had a home and a car to drive while you were there. Your brother owns a very nice business. Glad your back home and seeing family and friends. Out here in Vegas we used to have a restaurant called Crab Shack. They closed up and they lobster there too. Love those lighthouses. Nice house you are staying at. That’s was a nice Super C.     Love Maine!! Want to go back soon. I am originally from NY, In IL now. Was in Portland about 7 years ago. Did a lobsta cruse with Lucky Catch, visited Portland Head and had a lobster roll at Lobster Shack. All great places but one cool place we loved was eating at Silley’s

    New subscriber here from S. Illinois. First seen you on Less Junk More Journeys channel. Recently we were searching for places to camp near Virginia Beach and your channel popped up! I was also in the Navy and was stationed on the USS John C Stennis back in the late 90’s. We were wanting to take the kids back to where we lived when we were first married. Your video when you went back just made the same connection we were talking about. Showing the kids where our lives 1st started as well. Great channel you two I’m sold and is now our new favorite RV channel👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    When we were in Maine in 2012, I think, we ate at the Lobster Shack. It was so foggy that we couldn't see the lighthouse. We could sure hear it though...lol

    Another great video, Maine looks absolutely beautiful. I've thought numerous times about getting a drone but with low vision I'm not sure how long it would survive.

      Thanks Gary! DJI drones, are easier to fly then you think . They have sensors to help and if you let go of the sticks it just hovers in place😃

    I'm definitely a donut connoisseur I have lived all over the U.S. and I'm here to tell you they sell cream horns everywhere. They're typically cream puffs. I will give it to you in Maine those are the largest ones I've ever seen! 😆 personally they've never been sweet enough for me!😆 glad you made it home safe I love Maine it's gorgeous. But winters are way too rough on the bones and joints for us older travelers. Same with my home state of Colorado

      Well Jess want to make sure you know these are very sweet! We have tried donuts all over the county and have tried cream puffs at various places but they are very different from creme horns in Maine, especially from Baker’s Bench. We haven’t had anything that comes close. They make their own pastry dough and the filling is incredible!😃

    Maine is definitely a bucket list for us. We might be able to get to New Hampshire this fall for a trip but we aren't sure yet. By the way, Super C's are awesome. Another great video, thanks.

      It really is a beautiful place, especially in the fall. We always recommend September so you still get warm weather but then can see the foliage the beginning of October and can follow it down the East Coast if RVing. Where in NH are you headed? The White Mountains are one of our favorite spots to see the leaves in the fall! 🍁 Thanks so much for watching! PS. We LOVE Super C’s!😃

      I'm one of 7 so it's funny hearing about families with 7 kids. Even in the 70's and 80's we were considered a big family. We used to identify with the TV show "Eight Is Enough". :) I'm showing my age now, LOL.

    I get you 100 percent because I haven’t been home since 2016. There’s no shame in spending $20 plus in donuts and cream horns. Btw I love Lilly, she’s my spirit animal 😂 If you’re ever in Puerto Rico try quesitos.

      @@FindingOurSomeday yeah it’s been too long. My parents and in-laws come every year so it’s easier, but I need to go see grandma. We plan on going to Maine but we’re going to fly instead of going with the RV 😔 Btw back home we call cream horns “tornillos” which means screw.

    ok I see we have a historian... When you come to Pennsylvania... go to Gettysburg.. check the time table.. either you get the reenactment or you can take horses over the battle field. My father took me over my 8th grade year and we were doing a bird project. I'm 52 now

    On the road from Whitehorse YT to Dawson City YT there is a place that has the world's largest cinnamon rolls. They are bigger than a dinner plate. We got 3 breakfasts out of one!

      😂 Now you know! This was September of 2019. Season 5 starts in a couple episodes and is all of 2020. We will be caught up to 2021 this fall.

    That episode is going to seriously resonate with anyone who's been away from home for an extended time and returned. I left NH after living there for the first 51 years of my life and I can tell you that your entire video can be summed up with Lily exclaiming, "It smells good." It's not that it smells "good"; it's that it "smells like home", which is really what she was saying, and something that no other place on earth can claim.
    I can so relate to the bismarks and cream horns, but I could also relate to the small things, like the carpet of pine needles at the lake house that I could almost smell through the video, and the lush, thick grass at your brother's house that you only really get in New England in late summer. I'll throw something else in that you didn't mention but is also true -- seafood in New England cannot be replicated anywhere else. It can be good in Louisiana or Georgia or Oregon or even Maryland, but it is unduplicatable. There is something about the cold northern Atlantic waters that creates the unique New England seafood vibe.
    Glad you had that chance to get back to the touchstones of your heritage. I feel like we've already seen Part 1 of this story through the eyes of Nate and Marissa, but I'm personally looking forward to seeing it through yours.
    One last thing. For some reason until now, I've always thought the 320 on your gear was a reference to Ephesians 3:20 ("Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!"). Even if it didn't mean that, I'd like to believe that verse continues to act as a canopy over you throughout your epic journey! That's our prayer for you.

      Good point and exactly right! Maine does have a smell and in most places it smells good, but it’s home, that’s why it smells good 😊 did you hear all the acorns crunching when I drove into the lake house driveway😳 I parked his car almost in the middle of the yard so it wouldn’t get hit with those tree bombs😂
      We’re not big seafood people, but we’ve heard all our lives from people that are say the same thing. We do get some Lobster and I cook it in the next episode though 🦞 😎 still debating how I want to edit next episode, I will most likely skip most of it... it wasn’t a trip to explore Maine (other then to show Nate and Marissa a few things) it was mostly just to hang with family and friends ... plus I want to get to Zion😃

      @@FindingOurSomeday Corey, I wasn't listening for the acorns but I know the drill. I was more immersed in the whole "lake house" aura, where your mind fills in the gaps that a two-dimensional video can't provide, like that faint scent of a combination of permanent "autumn" mixed in with mold (in a good way) that you get in an older lake house, especially in the back, three-season porch.
      Even though I grew up and lived most of my life in NH, I was in Maine constantly, from a memorable trip to the Allagash Waterway up near Ft. Kent in a teen youth group, to countless trips to the Acadia/Bar Harbor/Ellsworth area. We flew back up to bring my in-laws to a B&B in Boothbay a few years ago, with a stop at the Maine Diner in Wells because the place is so freighted with memories to us.
      But I agree with you -- this is a great opportunity to do a time jump and try to close the gap with real time a bit. It has to be tough weeding through the comments from people who still don't know what year you're in. I noticed you put up a "September" caption at one point, so they should have at least known that much, but maybe that was a good chance to throw up "2019" just to keep the "No masks?" trolls from making fools of themselves.
      Looking forward to Zion. That can't be anything BUT epic.

    The first several videos I watched of your beautiful family, I thought there was no way you were really "from" Maine, because you don't have that "Maine accent."
    However, being from Mass, hailing from West of I-290, I myself don't have the (Eastern) MA accent, oddly associated with the entire state (😄)....
