Yea their definitely worth it for the price! I got a ddr4 motherboard but it uses server ram so it’s not the best looking set of ram. I got the 2670v3 bundle edition for only $55 on Ali express, only thing I had to buy was the lithium battery (cmos) so technically it was around $65 in total with tax and the battery.

optifine is good but for the new versions of minecraft if you want the best performance you will need sodium lithium and phosfurus with fabric it is leagues better than optifine :)
The 2690V3 will perform better than the 2670V3, Minecraft favors single thread performance rather than multi and the Xeon lacks high single thread performance. I think the 2690V3 would handle small Minecraft severs pretty well. The xeons cpu’s work better with 4 sticks of ram so keep note of that.

Xeon CPU’s we’re used by many companies so when it was time for them to upgrade there was a mass flood of xeons CPU’s and the only way to get rid of them is to sell for cheap. The crazy part is that gaming wasn’t intended for these CPU’s but it handles gaming pretty well💯

@@BryantGalero the 5600G is better than those 2 and you can easily upgrade to a better Ryzen cpu in the future such as the 5700X3D or the legendary 5800X3D. 5600G is exactly the same as the Ryzen 5 5500 (minus the integrated graphics) and the Ryzen 5 5500 is cheaper in price If your gonna get a GPU then the Ryzen 5 5500 will be the best option.
This is very interesting to to see, I am surprised this game isn't more cpu bound (although I think more entities would change that). I have been tempted to buy a x99 motherboard and to build a computer around it for fun, (especially with the miconyst discord server)

Either way it was still very interesting to see how it handled Minecraft, no stutters

A 5600 should be good for now. Then later on when your ready to upgrade the 5800X3D will be perfectly fine (of course with a better gpu down the line) Strong cpu.

The only thing I would change is the ssd and the psu. For the ssd i would get a a drive that has dram such as the TeamGroup MP34 1TB. For psu this is the only part you cant cheap out on. Get a power supply that is on the C tier or higher. In this case your build is like a mid range build so i recommend a B tier and an A tier power supply. ECC RAM. The mobo combo came with ECC Ram

Its runnin at stock speeds. Set your power mode plan to High Performance. This will make the cpu clock speed run at max stock.
