That glass vessel would be awesome to use a a propagating vessel for a pothos plant seeing the roots grow in the water with white rocks in it. A nice decorative item by a sunny window
Hi Tasha, I love everything you thrifted. That pillow cover idea using the existing pillow cover to have access using the zipper is genius. TFS, BLESSINGS.
It cost so much less than buying new matting for SURE. And I was thinking you could totally do black matting that way as well with black posterboard!! That could look really cool with a wood frame.
Right? I liked the big oversized handle. Also...I said there was no signature on it but now watching my clip I do maybe see a faint one after all, whoops!
I agree. Cloth napkins should be used and not just for special occasions. Thanks for your inspiration, love the black and white frames. . You find amazing items and are creative.
@@TashaatHome I love that style of lampshade on a modern lamp base: beautiful juxtaposition! YOU are so talented. Excited to see all of your videos! Which one includes the matting lesson? Thanks so much!
Hi Tasha. I always love learning new tricks from you. The pillows and matting were great. Loved the pattern on that. Id have passed on both items. I have an overstock of lamps and shades well of everything actually. 😊
Haha an overstock of everything 😄 I hear ya. Thank you as always! I was thinking you could also do your own picture matting out of black poster board and that might look really cool with certain frames as well. It makes me want to try more!
I have that basket chip and dip bowl and I use mine during the Holidays with a candle in the middle and I do pine cones and berries for Christmas around it, mini pumpkins for Fall and for Easter I do eggs and flowers. It’s so cute.
Hi Tasha. I loved all of your items, but I especially love the clever way you made the pillowcases. That was amazing. I think we’ve all had something like what happened to you with the clock happened to us. It is frustrating, but the clock still looks very cute, I love it on your nightstand. I would not have taken home the pitcher, but I think I would’ve taken home the lamb shade. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration. It is all beautiful.
I love your beautiful, practical table setting. I would love to find cloth napkins. I like how you decorate and the muted shades in the guest room. ❤ everything
You are so welcome! I was nervous cutting the matting since I knew if I was off at all, it would probably look wonky, but it turned out great (to my standards, anyway haha!) and was SO much more affordable than buying picture matting. Thank you for watching!
Pass on pottery ❤ yes on shade. I agree on cloth napkins .I have many beautiful napkins and placemats I use for every day . I even have a rechargeable little light . I ad fresh flowers and put on some music. My husband says he really enjoys eating dinner at the table.

That's so nice of you to say 😊 I definitely feel like I've learned so much since I started in October. And I enjoy how getting these together pushes my creativity. I really appreciate your support!
Love your style. But being in my 70s and raised by a mother who was a stickler for proper placement at the table, the knife blade should be facing the plate and the spoon should be to the right of the knife. Both being on the right of the plate. Keep up the good work with your videos.
Thanks so much! 😊 Cutting the matting myself was a little intimidating before I made the first cut, but well worth it, I thought, and not hard once I got started :) Certainly can't beat the price over retail!
Nice choices! Would have passed on both the picture frames brilliant the perfect inspiration...the pitcher OMG Nice! Love your style thanks for sharing 💜
Hi Tasha I have had family in and now catching up on videos. I am always glad to "see" you. Your home just gets prettier every time I watch you. I love the picture frames and the modern look you gave them. I also loved that material and so glad you made pillows. I remember when you bought it . I liked you gave us instructions. I usually just sewed them up and have to throw them away when they get dirty.😂 I dont know why I don't pick up those crystal little clocks when I see them at estate sales. I guess because I have enough. My husband and I are clock people and we have clocks big and small everywhere. I think I would have have the lampshade because I need to change out a lamp that has a red one, and need a neutral shade. I would pass on the little ceramic piece. I collect from a potter in Kentucky and have too many of his pieces , but love his work. Also when my niece went to Wesleyan college she took ceramics and she made us a neutral color tea set that has a Japanese design on each piece. The first or top picture you showed, i would use that art, maybe in a different frame without the red mat. Love the idea of wrapping the mat. I have so many old frames & old art pieces in my storage that I've collected, I'll definitely try that DIY out! The black frames & pictures look so good! I may try that mat idea out as well, i have some smaller art pieces. Love the pillow cases, very pretty. Love that bench❤The trash can is so nice! I kind of hoard old lamps🫣 so I would have taken the shade! I have one i think it would look really good on. The pitcher isn't quite my style, i would have passed on it. Hi Tasha! I would pass on the little stoneware. I like the shape of the lampshade ,but it looked a bit dingy. Maybe painting it . Love what you did with the pillows, i e done this with spray adhesive b/c i dont know gow to sew lol. The frames turned out beautiful ❤️
Lampshades can be very expensive, and that one was darling so a pick for me. I adore studio pottery, and make pieces myself, but that pitcher would have been a hard pass. The clock was my favorite find of this haul. I see there are comments about your flatware placement, lol. The knife blade faces the plate so no one accidentally gets cut. The standard rule for setting utensils is that the pieces farthest from the plate, on both sides, are the ones you use first, and then you work your way inward so the pieces closest to the plate are used last. My mother was a gourmet cook, and would host dinner parties with 8 to 10 course meals. I would set the table for her when I was little, and when the meals had that many courses…. there were so many pieces used some were placed above the plate🤣🤣😂. These days in my house we keep it simple!
Yes, lots of people interested in silverware placement! I know the spoon goes on the outside but to me it's always made sense to put the knife on the outside for the very reason that you said-- because it seems to me the first thing you do when you sit down at your plate is you pick up the knife along with the fork to cut meat. I know that technically you would cut meat with a different knife like a steak knife, but usually a butter knife works just fine so I don't know, to me it makes sense to have the knife and fork on the outsides? But regardless I'm glad it struck people's interest! 😊 Thank you for watching, Julie!
Love your pillow covers !!! Pick or Pass / pleated lamp shade 😊❤ … love your videos when your kit kit comes in room to inspect … and your daughter’s bare feet and cool bell bottom jeans made an appearance …touch of home and togetherness ❤
Right! Hmm...I guess Curry didn't make it into this video did he. I'm sure he'll make an appearance again soon. And yes my daughter loves to somehow get her feet into my frames 😂
I have never seen poster paper used as a framing mat, but it makes complete sense and so much less expensive! I don't think I would pick the shade or the pitcher, but I often wonder if the unique handmade pottery you find so often is from Seagrove. So much talent there!
Yes on the lampshade! I recently saw someone pulling all the material from the frame and then attaching the frame to a right size piece of wood, using as a plant stand. Also, when you disassemble a picture frame, do you keep the glass and if so, how do you store?
Oh, how interesting! Yes I often keep the glass from frames. In this case of course I still utilized it over the photos, but if I'm framing art that I want to look more like a painting without glass in front of it, I often still store the glass in the same frame, just behind the art instead of in front. That way I can use it again if I change things up later. Thanks for watching!
I wish you were local because I'd hire you to style all of my thrift store finds! I have a good eye for what looks good but not putting it together! You could probably make great money doing this in your area!!
I would have picked the lampshade and passed on the pitcher. Lampshades are so expensive and I feel like you can always store it until you find a lamp that it would go with.
Pass on the fluted (accordion style) lampshade. They just look so granny-old-fashioned to me.
Our Goodwill store has become so expensive now. We have to wait on sales now to buy.
Dang... 😭
The lamp shade would work with the right lamp. Pass on the jug !!
Hi Tasha, no on both. The clock is very pretty.

Your post are interesting and inspiring. Thank you.
Lampshade: pass. 😂
Earthenware picture: pass. Although I love that pattern
Thanks very much! And haha yes I think that style of lampshade is very divisive. Some love, some hate! :)-
Yes on the lampshade!
They are calling them spaghetti benches which I think is a cute name❤️❤️
Oh, that is cute haha! Spaghetti bench 😋 Well I love mine!!
I so love your videos. Thankyou
So nice of you!
A definite pickup on the candlestick holder but a pass on the other items
I wish you were local because I'd hire you to style all of my thrift store finds! I have a good eye for what looks good but not putting it together! You could probably make great money doing this in your area!!
Aww thanks! I certainly enjoy it 😊
I would have picked the lampshade and passed on the pitcher. Lampshades are so expensive and I feel like you can always store it until you find a lamp that it would go with.
True! Thanks for watching 😊
