Bafang Error 21, Fault with speed detecting sensor

In this video we talk about Bafang BBS01, BBS02, BBSHD error code 21 - fault with speed detecting sensor, which means problems with speedsensor. In this case, the distance between magnet and sensor should be checked first. The distance should be only a few millimeters. If this is ok, but the error is still shown on the display screen, then the speedsensor cable should be checked for crushing or damage. If it looks also fine, either the speedsensor or the controller must be replaced.

Hello. Please help me.
I have Bafang ultra CAN with error 21. I have replaced the sensor, magnet, wiring, and even terminated new plug connections on.
I have measured the voltage out of the motor to the hall effect with a multimeter. I have no voltage difference on any of the 4 wires. I suspect there should be a 5v on one of the wires to power up the hall switch. I suspect I have a faulty controller.
Can you help me please.

@@fasterbikeseu Moin meine Frage besteht kann ich trotzdem mit den. Fehlercode 21 fahren auch wenn es anzeigt funktioniert trotzdem noch alles alle Stufen und Licht weil ich würde dann mein Handy weiterhin nutzen als kmh Zahl

@guylocation9823 yes. It was a short circuit inside the 4 pin connector to the speed sensor. Where the terminal crimps onto the wire, there was a stray strand of wire, and it was contacting the adjacent terminal inside the back side of connector. Causing a short, which was pulling the 5v source down.
I again re-terminated the connectors and the 5v supply re-appeared. Which solved this problem.
The speed sensor and associated wiring is a weak point on these motors. I often have problems with error 21. Be it wiring on the chain stay getting damaged. Speed sensor failures. And other random error 21 issues. It is very frustrating. I wish it could be turned off in software.

Ich finde an mein fahrad keine sensor und im netz auch nichst weiss jemand wo der noch sein kan wen net auf der brems scheibe und der Speichel (felge) würde mich über jeden typ freuen!!❤
