well done video. Where can I find the files for the Russian/Latvian set at10:00? Red felting complements nicely. Is this from a resin printer? Beautiful!
You can buy the STL files for the Latvian set here: conorokane.gumroad.com/l/QTFVTH The black pieces are resin and the white pieces were printed in PLA wood filament on an FDM printer.
I'm very new to this and can't figure out how to print the pieces with hollow bottom. I tried the hollow button with no result. I'm using creality slicer if you have any suggestions. Great video by the way!!
If you bought any of my chess pieces from 3DPrintedChess.com then they'll already have hollow bases. Print the files with FDM in the name for filament printers, or for resin printers print the ones with 'resin_hollow_supported" in the name.

You can buy printed pieces from the vendors here: www.3dprintedchess.com/buy-printed-sets/ I recommend Hirschi's Sweet Creations, they print excellent resin pieces.
Yes that should work fine. Just give it plenty of time to dry and if it cracks or shrinks add a little more to fill the gaps before you glue on the felt.
Yes, hot glue works very well for securing the weights. If you want to make them extra secure then do that. However you still need to fill the hole with something to get the level surface for felt as hot glue isn't good at leveling.
I want to make a chess board set for my grandson for Christmas, thank you for the tip about putting weights in there.
Been around forever. Milton Bradley used to sell an inexpensive Staunton set that was easy to fill.

It would be much better to use epoxy resin to fill after adding weights. It'll also give a perfectly flat surface to stick the felt to after it cures.
I use adhesive wheel weights for balancing tires. I just print a notch to snugly slide them into. 80% of my business is chess sets.
how chick is felt 1,5 or 2 mm

Can i use air dry clay for the filler?
Yes that should work fine. Just give it plenty of time to dry and if it cracks or shrinks add a little more to fill the gaps before you glue on the felt.
where do I found , or where do i purchase , the red felt ?
You can buy it in sheets or in large rolls from fabric stores.
Your so good

Couldn’t you use a hot glue gun to secure the weights?
Yes, hot glue works very well for securing the weights. If you want to make them extra secure then do that. However you still need to fill the hole with something to get the level surface for felt as hot glue isn't good at leveling.
