    I saw this song live on this tour and at my concert the piano sign in the back was animated to Avi's bass drop and it enhanced it even more. When I tell you, I felt that bass in my whole body like everything was shaking. It was insane!

    Some commentors have complained about the dude who was recording because he was singing - I figure two things - he could hold a harmony line AND.... without him we wouldn't have this video !! Scott was asking the crowd to sing...so the guy did ! I was more than happy with it, he certainly wasn't tone deaf and if he had been, well, he paid to go see PTX and he got footage for those of us who couldn't go ! I was really happy when you pointed that out Dennis - kudos to you !

      Yeah, he was on pitch and steady. And he did all that without being able to hear himself. That means he relied on muscle memory to hit just the right note. Kudos to him.

      @@ailawil89 I agree Wil - he was probably moving too which is never easy when you're holding a phone or camera. I think he did a good job too.

    Avi in live version actually went half step lower. Insane!! He hit F#1😮

    • @bobbythandon6939
      @bobbythandon6939 4 года назад +1

      Yes, growl....he hit that low note with growl🔥🔥...but it's not really deep....Tim Foust for home free can hit the low note ( damn low A0 ) with Growl....

    • @professionalvampire1
      @professionalvampire1 4 года назад +4

      I have great respect for Tim, but just because he can go lower than Avi doesn't mean that an F#1 is "not really deep".

    • @bobbythandon6939
      @bobbythandon6939 4 года назад

      @@professionalvampire1 fore sure,..if you talk about growl techniques with a vocal range between C2-C1 then it's not too deep ... but if you talk about the VOICE OF CHEST (Chest Voice) with the Vocal range between C2-C1 then it's too deep ......

    Avi is really abusing the sound system, a casual concert lol :D great reaction!

      those speakers should really file a restraining order from all acapella bass singers 😂

    I've seen them do this in concert twice. Scotts vocals are out of this world and Avi's bass was so deep that I got heart palpitations. No joke. Excellent reaction!

    Pentatonix did eventually get a "bass protected" sound system so it doesn't happen anymore with either Avi or Matt. I am not sure when that happened.

    The guys phone could not handle the bass. There is no official video although we would love to have one. Kevin wrote this song while on a plane and when he needed a few more natural disasters but could not think of more, he went up and down the aisle of the plane asking people to name natural disasters. He said that some people did not want to think about that while on a plane. Lol

    I've been to three of them, and I recommend the experience! One of the cool things you see all around you when you go to a concert is how family friendly PTX is -- you see lots of oldsters (like me) with their grandkids, whole family groups, young folks, and church groups -- the lot! I would imagine it would be the same for a Home Free concert. (BTW, I sent my step daughter tickets to a HF concert where she lives, in London, and she said she wished they'd talked less and sung more.) Not to worry, a PTX concert is practically ALL singing, except for the break in the middle while Kevin does a short cello concert, which is also entertaining and amazing! Do, by all means, get there as soon as they can safely get back on the road!

    Yeah, it's on an album but usually just a concert song - sing along version always. No Video.

    I hate it when people record a concert to put online then sing right into the mic. Great reaction! Avi only destroyed a few sound systems. Haha :) now go listen to the recorded version of this song with your headphones and feel your body quake with the bass. Haha i find this song really fun. One of my morning get-your-butt-moving songs. Haha

      In their defense, they still want to enjoy themselves while they are there; they can only be there once, after all. But the frustration is understandable. But just think how quiet it'd be if they didn't sing because so many people were recording! Avi's bass is why I stay for this track!

      With respect, if you pay for the ticket to be there you can pretty much do what you like. Hes not filming to keep other people happy, he probably wanted a personal memory and got caught up in the moment and wanted to sing along. Are you saying he shouldn't put his video on his own channel because you can hear him singing along?

    • @RosheenQuynh

      @@stuarcari Totally agree - plus, he wasn't actually that bad ! He definitely could hold a harmony line which isn't always that easy.

    Update I discovered this since I responded to your post.
    It was a planned PTX special effect Avi's voice interference with the lights. The technique is called fire breathing or growling. He is actually singing fairly quietly but a very low note and the 🎤 does it all. F#1 so it is an awfully low note.

    One of my favorites! They were still doing it live last summer... or was that the summer before? The seasons are beginning to blur at this point with what a weird year we've had! The boys did a great job plugging your Instagram! 👍👍 I'm really glad you all enjoyed the performance and I liked that you played a snippet of the audio file as well! Thank you so much for reacting guys. 😊

    Not all of pentatonix's songs have videos, so they can sell albums. To really appreciate this some, please do get their albums.

    You channel is so fun. Check out Gold (they just sit on a couch singing. AMAZING) and Aha! Singapore. That version of Aha! is live and amazing. The official music video is fun too, but the live version really shows off Mitch’s range. You should just watch both versions of Aha! Hahaha
