I love Tycho's instrumental music but hadn't been paying attention to his releases for a couple of years. I just stumbled upon this today and just Wow. This amazing music and beautiful animation just give me the chills. I'm off to Bandcamp to update my library.

@@shapedbyrobin hey Robin, thanks for the positive words. It’s all animated in After effects, without the use of 3D, so only using X,Y and imitating depth with scale and imitating paralax. It’s called 2,5D in the industry ghehe. I aninate using only shapelayers, nulls, keyframes. An effect I use a lot is ‘set matte’ which is kind of like ‘clipping mask’ in Photoshop. Hope that answered your question
