- Part 2 of the "Sanctuary" ASMR Let's Play Minecraft series. In this episode I whisper ear to ear using my binaural microphones as well as gently chew some gum later in the video, and find us a new home.

What is ASMR? Why am I whispering?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand motions, whispering and personal attention. My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or tingles, but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to provide stress relief (especially for those suffering from depression, anxiety and even PTSD), help people sleep and even serve as a study aid.

I got so relaxed watching this that I passed out hard & woke up minutes later experiencing sleep paralysis. In my dream I was in a minecraft world and I was crossing the street and heard car noises approaching but I was paralyzed and couldn't move out of the way. shit scared the fuck out of me bro.

It's very relaxing
I’m 13 years old, I turn 14 in October. Watching these videos has made me feel like I have a purpose. A few months ago, my mother passed and recently my father passed too, so I’m living with my aunt and we’re debating whether to get me therapy. I never thought in all my life that I would be listening to a man whispering and playing minecraft. I use this to relax. unbelievable.........
A good Idea to do to your house to make it an official "ASMR" house for tingles you can catch some animals to make sounds while you can hear the water and the wood sounds, It's just an Idea if you make an episode three and what to do on that episode. I do not no why I am posting these ideas because I might be the only one that enjoys the sounds that I listed above . Hope you plan on making another episode because I enjoy this series a lot!

I just discovered your Let's Play Minecraft series (I tend to listen to the same vids over and over :p). I've never played it and I'm not a gamer (though if I had the time, I totally would be).

You should lower the effects volume and raise the background music volume, just a humble recommendation, Minecraft's music is amazing, i love the piano and it's very relaxing. Great video anyways, thanks!
Personally I think it should be the other way around; sound effects being a tad higher. I like the sound of walking on wood planks.

Hey Rift, if you want to customize your speed, I believe there's an "enable cheats" option, if I remember correctly you can alter your speed from there. However that option might only be available in new games, I'm not sure if you can do this to a pre-existing world.
You can't really customize your speed, although you can add an infinite speed effect to yourself. Assuming the allow cheats option is enabled, this can work on any world for any version where the command exists. You can also use spc (single player commands) to multiply your speed by huge amounts, to the point where you could travel hundreds of blocks on super flat worlds. Other than that, no way to change speed.

Potions can help, too, if you didn't want to cheat.

You might be able to use a texture pack that's the same size as the default. You'd have to find one for your patch of Minecraft--for example, 1.7.4; you can see it in the launcher. Try looking for texture packs with a 16x16 resolution, there should be no difference in performance.
