Then, Mukesh ji came in Hindi Cinema, and if you hear his early songs, you may notice that he was singing like Saigal ji. After a few years, the original voice of Mukesh ji established. It became a magical voice in indian cinema. Then, Rafi sahab and Kishor da came, and the Golden Era of Hindi Cinema started. We were so fortunate in those days that we lived with their songs, and let me tell you, we spent our that glorious time so happily... 😊 ❤😊

Most people are rightly thinking about the sorrow that Indian women feel when they marry, and as was the norm before, move away from their parents home and village. However the real pathos of this song is that the character played by Dev Anand is considered by all to be the brother of the character played by Suchitra Sen. He can't reveal that he is not her brother (because if my memory serves me right he has accidentally killed him), and so loses the love of his life. I saw this film over 35 years ago as a school boy, and became a Dev fan for life.

This song is very touching. It brings tears in my eyes whenever I hear it. It reminds me of painful separation of my daughters from me.
Well Khaitan... i feel the same. I got my daughter married off 7 years ago... . I was riding my two wheeler ( i had a four wheeler too then which I gave it off to my daughter)... and I was just thinking those 22 years I spent with her.. sometime laughing.. sometimes fighting.. but overall a great 22 years of my time, my wife left me 2 years before her marriage).. i started humming this song.. but tears rolleddown my cheeks... and you wont believe.. i slept on the foot path that night just crying....and when I reached my apartment the next day.. the watchmen told me.. that my daughter and son in law came and rang the bell...since there was no response, they left to the airport. Thats daughters feeling towards her dad. ...Even now whenever I hear this song.. tears roll down.
