Oh man he barely even blinks when hitting those high notes. I saw this show and cried when they opened with this. I still cry now, for different reasons. So very sad you left us Chris.
I was at Lolla 2014 in Buenos Aires. Soundgarden played on the 2d stage I guess. The first time I saw Chris. The first song was okay, but after warming up the real show started. Amazing, just awesome.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
Seasons is another really beautiful song that really doesn't get the recognition it deserves either. The lyrics to Seasons are very poetic and the music is just beautiful.
He mentioned her often. Her death was especially difficult for him, and now me too. I feel him…. He needs justice. No Apple TV remote was ever requested! Martin Kirsten lied about that to justify his murderous self on that camera entering and leaving!!!
@@paulgoodall_ Natasha Schneider was the woman on piano. She along with her husband Alain Johannes, the man on the guitar, were an incredibly talented duo and had a band called Eleven that toured a lot with Soundgarden and Pearl Jam and along with Chris wrote the album Euphoria Mourning. They were also members of Queens of the Stone Age for a time. Natasha passed away in 2008 from lung cancer and Chris is buried near her at Hollywood Forever.
I always loved watching him sing. sometimes he looked as if he were looking at every single person in his audience one by one while deeply concentrating on his vocals.
One of Chris's most beautifle, melodic songs. I agree, it's totally underatted. I don't recall it being played on the radio but if it wasn't, it should have been. This song is in the pantheon of great one's like Black Hole Sun in my opinion....
who would have thought that living and breeding in a shithole with awful weather would permanently scar people with Depression for life... mindblowing (sorry cynicism isn't going to help a whole lot isn't it)
WOW I never new he did a hopped up version of the song....slow version I cry when I listen..but this is different!...I don't know why Chris thought he had to leave....I'll never be able to understand that.
Never saw Soundgarden live . I did get to see Chris on a solo tour in 2006 or 2007 . He played EVERYTHING in his catalog ....Soundgarden, Temple, Audioslave , solo work... it was amazing .
Wow those high notes were so easy for Chris. He was an amazing artist. We lost him sadly. Always thinking about the music . We will jam sometime again Chris
Yes perfect execution from Chris and the band, with the exception of that intro solo. No disrespect but, it wasn't exactly the same quality as everything else.
Wow what an AMAZING voice! Its 2018 and I dont think there has been a day since his death that I have not listened to him! I will ALWAYS miss Chris Cornell! Rest in peace brother!
It’s still really hard to watch and listen to this. Once or twice a year I try to listen to this and I wind up a sopping ugly crying mess the moment he walks on stage. There are two on that stage that are gone now.
The whole concert is such a gem. It's that incredible tone and range that he developed in Soundgarden, but mixed with the personal, imaginative songwriting from Euphoria Morning. His vocal ability is flawless, and the intensity level is great. A real, real special performance for my money
Though ur gardens gray i know all your grases someday will flower in a sweet sunshower 😢 (thanks 4 this beautiful helpful lyric for sadness ) ❤ r.i.p chris ❤
i miss Chris so much!! he was such a beautiful man ❤️ he has such a beautiful soul and i will never tire of hearing his beautiful music. rest in peace Chris 🕊
Alex, thank you to no end! This is my favorite song/version ever! I can never thank you enough! I’ve played this over 2000 times at my factory job. Hahaha I lost my 22 year old daughter in 2021 to a grain of sand of fentanyl. Now I was forced to become one of those people that let these lyrics rip them up!
I studied theatre in college, if there's anybody in Chris' era who is a singer/songwriter that is the embodiment of an actor (or any storyteller even) it's gotta be him
I saw this show in Boston at a small Chapel on Harvard university‘a campus. Audience of 200 tops!!!!! Tickets to this were only sold to students, we bout 2!tickets outside for 29 bucks from a student selling them!!!! Seven rows back, small small crowd !!! It was the show of a lifetime. It was on my 30th birthday!!!!!September 13, 1999
WOW !!!! they took this to another level !! Amazing!!! Its now history, words cannot ...cannot say what we lost, thank you for this video!!! we Miss you Chris
1st time seeing this concert....I have to say that there is something missing in his eyes that I have never seen before in his performances. Made me cry....I see his pain in his face....R.I.P. Chris, We all miss you...
Great vocal performance. This was not a song i was very familiar with but it is exactly the way I will always remember him as a creative collective talent. Also I will note this is a not a song I knew well maybe a bit obscure, a B side that should be an A side ( lol ) probably his best song but these lyrics right here pen point his writing style in every way. Embracing the cold darkness, basking in the soothing light.
Alex Febrero, there are no words to adequately thank you! You've really done us a service. I'd have likely never seen or heard this show if not for you. And I strongly agree, the best CC solo show of them all. That's a big statement, but anyone doubting it merely needs to check it out. There is a magic about this show. Chris is in top form, and each member of the band really bring it! You are my favorite person on RUclips. Subscribed. Cheers!
I wish this set of bandmembers could have stayed with Chris solo. I think this was the best version of Chris solo...with this band! Thanks for uploading!
Oh man he barely even blinks when hitting those high notes. I saw this show and cried when they opened with this. I still cry now, for different reasons. So very sad you left us Chris.
This is a beautiful performance ❤
I love how clean he sings the chorus just feeling it out and then pulls off that belt at 2:36 , then that smile knowing he's got it for the night.
If you notice, as the song is progressing, he is just warming up and the keeps getting better every second. Its amazing!
I was at Lolla 2014 in Buenos Aires. Soundgarden played on the 2d stage I guess. The first time I saw Chris. The first song was okay, but after warming up the real show started. Amazing, just awesome.

As far as I know Chris never warmed up for a show

One of my favorite Chris Cornell songs. Never got the recognition it should have..Beautiful.
Adam one of my favorite songs from his solo works. Along with Sweet Euphoria, When I'm Down and Preaching the End of the World.
Seasons is another really beautiful song that really doesn't get the recognition it deserves either. The lyrics to Seasons are very poetic and the music is just beautiful.
I agree! Great comment btw....
it got pleeenty of recogontion dude...you're just too blind to see it...
It struck so many of us and try so few at the same time.. glad to be part of this crowd.
Alain's solo during the intro is just absolutely killer.
Literally it's so good!
Rip Natasha Schneider and Chris.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
He mentioned her often. Her death was especially difficult for him, and now me too. I feel him…. He needs justice. No Apple TV remote was ever requested! Martin Kirsten lied about that to justify his murderous self on that camera entering and leaving!!!
Chris's voice always brings tears to my eyes. Supertalent is what they should call him.
Good name!
This man could've been an opera singer (and that's cool too), let's just be thankful he chose rock n roll.
So effortless, so elegant, so beautiful. The best there ever was.
When you’re right you’re not wrong
*This is my favorite song and this will be my funeral song.*
on everything!!!!!
RIP Natasha and Chris. Oh God...
AND Chester. 😭😭💔💔
Natasha?

@@acarlovonsexron1994 that's right...
I saw Chris on this tour. He was amazing. The band was great. R.I.P. Natasha Shneider. She was cool.
Lucky you man 😊
I always loved watching him sing. sometimes he looked as if he were looking at every single person in his audience one by one while deeply concentrating on his vocals.

i aggree i think its his best song, what a talent we have lost.
My ABSOLUTELY favorite.
In a certain way, i like the fact of Being and underrrated and unknown song, that makes most special this song for me. Its not part of the mainstream
It was definitely played on New Zealand radio.
"No one sings like you anymore." Still feeling you, Chris.
One of the best song writers is all of history. Chris hurts the most to me out of all the Seattle people who have passed. Such a damn shame.
who would have thought that living and breeding in a shithole with awful weather would permanently scar people with Depression for life... mindblowing (sorry cynicism isn't going to help a whole lot isn't it)
Such a huge loss , he had everything but felt he had nothing
WOW I never new he did a hopped up version of the song....slow version I cry when I listen..but this is different!...I don't know why Chris thought he had to leave....I'll never be able to understand that.
this is a very good version of Sunshower....damn he was good
Never saw Soundgarden live . I did get to see Chris on a solo tour in 2006 or 2007 . He played EVERYTHING in his catalog ....Soundgarden, Temple, Audioslave , solo work... it was amazing .
We saw Soundgarden in 1997 at Big Day Out in Auckland. The hits were all done very well but they were pretty much done by that point. 😔
Wow those high notes were so easy for Chris. He was an amazing artist. We lost him sadly. Always thinking about the music . We will jam sometime again Chris
One of his best performances
Agreed!!
One of his best performances of this song.. and a great instrumental version!
Yes perfect execution from Chris and the band, with the exception of that intro solo. No disrespect but, it wasn't exactly the same quality as everything else.
What a magical performance huh?? The full band opening the show with Sunshower like this....just epic beyond words man
This man could have sung the letter T for a whole song and made it beautiful!
Hard to believe its been 20 years, seems just like it was yesterday
I was at this show. Live
sureeeeeee
Wow what an AMAZING voice! Its 2018 and I dont think there has been a day since his death that I have not listened to him! I will ALWAYS miss Chris Cornell! Rest in peace brother!
the best voice ever
It still blows my mind that he is gone. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him. Five years, people. Five years this amazing man left this world.
Wow his voice was on point.....this is classic!
Agree!!
That voice...low, medium, high, just so majestic then throws in that incredible power
Masterpiece masterpiece masterpiece

agree, amazing vocal solo in this performance. He was so amazing. Beautiful. The best.
This song is the reason why Great Expectations is one of my favorite movies
thank you Chris for everything you gave and continue to give.Your spirit lives on.
wow i really pray and thank to God, he made this man with that voice :') deeply missed Chris...
Natasha and Chris. Rest peacefully. ❤️

Creo que la version de este tema es la mejor que escuche hasta ahora, la guitarra de Alain es fenomenal :)
Tiene una manera peculiar de tocar
Though ur gardens gray i know all your grases someday will flower in a sweet sunshower 😢 (thanks 4 this beautiful helpful lyric for sadness ) ❤ r.i.p chris ❤

Damn that was a good performance!
It's not 'house of blues', it's 'house of Natasha' man '! :)
Miss him so much.

Haunting vocals by the late great Chris Cornell. Can’t believe the song is over 20 years old.
He sings it here so effortlessly. Timeless rock classic.
Amazing Chris was the best vocalist from my generation
What a freaking range. First time that I listen to this song in electronic mode.
best song ever. best forever.
When I hear his voice I cry !!
I wqs at this show and to this day it's one of the most impressive performances I've ever seen.

So espetacular Chris was, so humble
I prefer this Arrangement over the original and I really like the original so that should tell you something
Not enough words to describe the amazing and beatiful piece of art... unique... thank you so much Chris for your talent, missing you man....
My Favorite song by Chris. TY Shawn Miller..
I studied theatre in college, if there's anybody in Chris' era who is a singer/songwriter that is the embodiment of an actor (or any storyteller even) it's gotta be him

Truly a beautiful performance of this gut-wrenching song. Slays me.
EFFORTLESS MELODIC PROJECTION A PHENOMENON
