A winter tramp to Sylvester Hut and Iron Lake

A three day tramp with the Waimea Tramping Club to Sylvester Hut in Kahurangi National Park, NZ.
Most of the participants hadn't used crampons & iceaxes before
so it was an ideal location to have a play in the fast disappearing
snow.
