    Yo ETA, I always love your reviews around streaming based devices, but i feel like they are always missing one key point in your reviews: latency. When streaming from steam link / moonlight you can actually have the latency displayed. Gold standard is end to end latency < 16ms. I would really love to see a comparison of your favorite streaming handheld devices with this data point.

      I think that it will heavily weigh on your hardware as well. Does your host device have wired or wireless connectivity to your router. Does your router have the bandwidth on the band that you chose have your handheld connected to. I get decent streaming on other handhelds, but I also have a hardwired PC connected to a beefy router. With minimal interference and a clean Wi-Fi channel, you should see great performance on most devices.

      @Jonathan Pontel Hello there. I hope it is awesome, but the MediaTech 8365 chip that it is using has 4 cores of the A53, and the logitech has 8, better cores (6x A55 and 2x A76 for performance). The lower cost Abxytlute also has both 32 and 64 GB of storage. Be careful with that since the 64GB on the logitech is already a bit small.

      Taki did a video of an aborted Lenovo Legion handheld a while back. ETA did as well; but, Taki went way more in depth. Apparently they trial produced a bunch of them before deciding not to go ahead and they're being liquidated on Chinese Craigslist or something. Anyways; whomever owns the rights to the design (thought to be Tencent for reasons I don't remember), after getting jilted by Lenovo, licensed the design to both Logitech and the people behind Abxylute. That's why the launchers and screens are identical. Logitech actually made changes to make the shell more ergonomic while Abxylute stuck with like 99% of the Legion's look.

    Might get a game streaming handheld when Wifi 7 becomes commonplace in 3-5 years. Until then I feel like handheld streaming devices will be relegated to the niche market. Most things communicate on the 2.4Ghz band and for any reasonable amount of money there are already plenty of portable emulation devices (and of course the Steam Deck).

    Here’s an honest question… if I have a iPhone 14 Pro Max, why would buy this when I can slap a 100 dollar Backbone on my iPhone and stream directly from there WITH A EVEN HIGHER RESOLUTION SCREEN??😮 honestly there is nothing better than just playing directly from a PC or console. Just buy a Steam Deck or shell out some extra cash for the competition which all cost more like Asus ROG ALLY.

    • @TimdeVille
      @TimdeVille Год назад

      Well I too have an iPhone 14 pro max but no backbone. I do have a clip for an Xbox controller though.
      I have backed this because even with having the pro Max, it’s still A lot smaller screen when your displaying a 16:9 screen on it.
      Also resolution won’t matter if the stream is 1080p or even 720p.
      I’ve tried to make my iPhone do lots of things but I guess I just like dedicated devices

    • @AugustineKusiDuah-bk4fr
      @AugustineKusiDuah-bk4fr Год назад

      Having a dedicated device is important for people. The use of this device depends on the consumer. You might think you know but you don’t. You have never considered price, use sinarious or anything of the sort. Get your facts right.

      For one, how much is the iphone 14 pro max and backbone one you have said in your comment. How much is the steam deck which plays games at 720p. How much is the Ally which is better than the Steam Deck with a justifiable price? If you only want to do steaming of games on a dedicated handheld for 200$, why is it not good. Again, get your facts right when you are talking about tech.

      Streaming my ps5 or PC works great it's hard to notice the delay unless your playing a fast pace fps. Even then it's not a issue aslong as it's a casual experience.

      @LEE yes that is a niche market space; A small group of people interested in these type of products. But make no mistake, you are not the majority and sales tend to reflect that. Also what you want out of it doesn’t take away from what the device is and what it was originally designed to do. Your reasoning is all subjective and is a matter of opinion.
