  • Here's our 11-Day Itinerary for the Galápagos Islands of Ecuador. We're visiting the Galápagos Islands on a budget of around $2,000 for our 11 Days/10 Nights.
Know that this Itinerary is a bit more of an overview and if you want to see more from each place, you can check out those respective videos.
    11-DAY ITINERARY
    Day 1. Arrival Day
Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, Playa de la Estación, the Fishing Pier, and the Gus Angermeyer Pier and Ferry Terminal.
Day 2: Las Grietas & Town
Hike, swim, and snorkel at Las Grietas for $10 per person. Walk the town and enjoy the wildlife at the pier.
    Day 3. Scuba & Snorkel
Macarron Scuba. I think $160 for my 2 dives and $120 for Jenna to snorkel while we dove.
Day 4. Travel to Isabela Island
$25 1-way, 2.5 hour speedboat. Room check-in. Rent bikes and find some tortoises.
    Day 5. Chill Day
I got sick, unfortunately, so we took a day off. You can walk the town, visit the church, beach, pier, etc.
    Day 6. Los Tuneles Tour
Led by Pahoehoe Tours, enjoy the Los Tuneles or The Tunnels Tour. A chance to see Blue-Footed Boobies, Penguins (we were out of season), fur seal, sea turtles, sharks, and more!
Day 7. Nature Walk & Concha Perla Snorkeling
Take a morning walk along the Sendero de los flamencos or Trail of the flamingos. Visit the best FREE snorkeling spot here in the Galápagos Islands - Concha Perla.
Day 8. Travel to San Cristóbal Island
Morning speedboat Isabela to Santa Cruz for $25. Then afternoon speedboat Santa Cruz to San Cristóbal for $25. Walk the town and beach for sunset. Watch and listen to the mass of sea lions.
    Day 9. 3 Free Things
Visit Laguna El Junco, Playa Punta Carola, and Playa de los Lobos - the main beach close to town. You can consider an alternate plan we explain in this respective video.
    Day 10. 360 Tour
Tour 360 degrees around the island with Sunnlandtours. I believe this was around $150 per person, but we would do it again! Snorkel with sea lions, sea turtles, and plenty of fish. Great chance to see sharks at Kicker Rock as well.
    Day 11. Departure Day
Say your goodbyes and fly back to the mainland, either Quito or Guayaquil. There is not too much to see in Guayaquil from what we can tell. We definitely recommend seeing Quito if you did not already do this on the front-end of your trip!

Great video and I am going to use this for building my travel itinerary. My husband and I are headed there for our 20th anniversary ❤❤🎉. Can you tell me looking back what was your favorite or most memorable place that you visited?

That’s so exciting! Thank you. It’s hard to say, but I think swimming with sea lions was the most memorable and although we did this on multiple occasions, the experience during our 360 trip in San Cristobal was the best experience

Oh wow, I must have missed that. Is it similar pricing to the others or like high end private flights? Thank you!

@@QuenchYourAdventure small planes.. almost private flights indeed... costs a bit l more than a boat trip.. but it was worth it ! :-)

Amazing, thanks for sharing. I would like to know your opinion. I am thinking about staying in the Galapagos for 17 Days, 6 in San Christobal, 6 Santa cruz und 5 isla Isabella. Do you think that it's better to spend more time in Isabella then Santa cruz? I'm not sure how I should divide the time, waht du you think?

Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed. Wow, that sounds amazing. Sounds like a pretty even spread similar to ours. Isabella is the least developed and quietest which can be good and bad. Fewer food options, but a bit more space to yourself which great beach access. If you’re hiking, I think that’s where one of the bigger volcano mountains is but we did not make time for that. I’d say that’s a great plan unless you have very specific interests/tours you’re looking to do

Did eating the food etc there give you montezuma's revenge?

It could’ve been water used to rinse lettuce or something, we wish we knew! But it’s always smart to travel with Imodium

Does the 360 tour include snorkeling at Kicker Rock or is that a separate excursion?

Well, I just bought 2 tickets for July, it cost me one eye. . And the airline told me the sales are only for nationals. We were told, since The other passenger is foreigner , he must paid the difference at the time to fly. 😢
