looks like a dream vacation to me! Id take this dive trip, over a Maldives bungalow vacation any day! I got my dive cert in Lake Tahoe just over a year ago. im ready for warm water!! =) awesome video!!
Right on! I'd agree that it outpaces the bungalow, especially with such healthy reefs and right amount of marine life. Wouldn't be a bad spot to test out the dive cert. (double check on diving eligibility, I believe an advanced diving certification might be needed but I'm not 100%)
Hey Leo, thanks for this! Amazing diving, really looks like a blast. What year was this? Just checking the Master Liveaboards Palau Siren bookings and it appears the prices have nearly doubled for Fall 2024 - $4,151 USD 7 nights. Is this possible, am I missing something here? Thanks again!
Hey James, this trip was right around this time last year but I booked a few months out in advance. They had a short sale period (about 40% off I remember correctly) so I quickly put in a request. Right now it looks like it's the standard price for the Siren but I do see one for Pacific Master for 8D/7N for about $1700 at Truk Lagoon (east of Palau but I'm not 100% on how to get there..) I would sign up for alerts with liveaboard.com just to keep an eye out for sale periods (usually during shoulder seasons) and if everything aligns, can work in your favor for securing a spot on the boat :)
For some reason I got offended when you said all the country is good for is scuba diving. But thank you for this video! We value our environment because it feeds us. Thank you
I'm so sorry, I was only referring to water-based recreation of Palau, and not the entire country as a whole. I do see how it sounds now and I apologize for phrasing it that way. Palau has so much more to offer and I am extremely thankful for the dedication and preservation the Palau people bring to their environment 🙏
I'd say somewhere between November and April. It's the dry season but also probably the busiest. I went in Sept when the weather was mostly sunny, a few rain clusters however.

@@philliplust8059 great point
@@philliplust8059 yeah it's the whole all-in-one bathroom. But there is a wraparound shower curtain that can kinda serve as a separate shower
Looks really fun.
Thanks John, fun but quite pricy
Palau is on my list for a liveaboard - have to get the last kids through school yet. Great video - always love dive videos.

😊🙏🙏
What is the company you used for the liveaboard? Beautiful video btw! Great job :)
Thanks - Sam's Tours was the local dive company I used (under the Master Liveaboards proprietorship)
May I know what is the best month to visit Palau

@@leodoeslife_There is not many countries with fewer tourists. 100k a year is nothing. I was at Sao Tome which has fewer tourists with 30k a year.
😁😁
🤘🙂
Oh dear, another bloody Master Liveaboard hard sell.
I know, right?
