- We finished up at Uluru and wanted to see the West MacDonnell Ranges. The outer Mereenie Loop road is a bit rough, not often traveled, but provides the opportunity to see the real outback, often on your own! We visited Kings Canyon doing the RIm Walk, swam at Ormiston Gorge and Ellery Creek Big Hole in the West MacDonnell Ranges, spotted camels, brumbies and more. We discuss tyre pressures and handling off road towing in a caravan.

I recommend you buy a set of tyre dogs for the van's tyres, ebay for about $220 for four wheels, you will be amazed watching the tyre pressures change during the drive, especially on corrugations they heat up soo much, on the Ghan our went from 20psi to 34psi just through heat.
We have 4 factory ones on the car. Very useful!
Hi to you I have watched several of your videos you do a great job. We plan to cover some of where you go and was wondering do you put out a map of where you go and find your free camp sites as you seem to find some great spots. I try to find then by listing to you but loose my way. If you have done any mud maps could you give me the heads up in your reply. Thanks heaps.
We went there today
Super place!
Hey guys can you tell me where that first free camp was near kings canyon! Will it be findable on wiki camps ?
Does anyone know what the free camp was? Near Kings Canyon
You’d expect to see waterfalls through the canyon, that was different . Very remote not a soul in sight.
Do you carry a compression bandage for snake bites
Sure do! Check out our video explaining what we carry for a day out

What road pressures have you set?
Depends on conditions. Generally.25 and 30 on the car and 20 to 25 on the van.
