@@Arkaeus04 So at the end of this comic Optimus is going to have a fist fight with like, ultra magnus since he's possessed by Megatron on top of the Nemesis??? MGS4 style baby!
I have a feeling that this issue might setup a civil war situation between team prime and team Elita (if prime’s team return to Cybertron in future volumes).
More likely optimus want have peace without sacrifices other woled just for save his own. Well that noble but in reality sometimes we must choose. And elita feel optimus choose earth rather cybertron but in reality optimus actually choose both unfortunately... He not have real solution
I'll say that if Optimus and his team try to return to Cybertron in the future they’ll may have to keep their guards up not just for the Decepticons but also for Elita One and the Autobots still on the planet because I imagine after this Elita probably didn’t keep what Optimus did to herself and probably made it sound as bad as possible and the Autobots on Cybertron may just want to remove Optimus's head from the rest of his body.
As powerful as this issue was, it highlights a rather dark future for Cybertron itself: A piece of Cybertron has fallen to Earth and now rests in the hands of the Autobots, at least the ones still functional. Optimus destroyed the Harvester at the cost of potential revitalizing his home. Elita is heartbroken over Prime's actions, allegedly choosing Earth over his home, though would've completed Shockwave's work for him. Prime crushed Shockwave's head in the midst of delirium (possibly due to an infection from affixing Megatron's arm to him. I say this because I noticed the speech bubbles turned purple-ish in a couple points.) Let's hope that Cybertron, in some form, gets restored to full capacity. Though, that vision Optimus had may be hinting at the potential of Cyberforming Earth to make a substitute Cybertron
This issue was so dark it saw the conflicts of one's owns needs but at what cost . Alita wanted to sacrifice earth for cybertron for more energon but this won't solve the issue with the decepticons there will still be a war , still people fighting over more energon if what at best Alita would have done was only temporary . Optimus saw the long run and decided not to do it but at the cost of cybertron with a portion of it falling down on earth for his want to not cause anymore conflicts of their world at the expense of others but still the question remains at what cost . This issue was really filled with darkness and despair there really wasn't a right choice . Just a choice that was filled with lasting consequences. Truly it captures of grey area of life.
Loved loved loved this issue, what a great ending to the story arc. That being said... while I do understand that there are many characters to cover, the lack of Spike really bummed me out. I understand that his choice spurred Beachcomber to save Prime, but, I wish Spike was in this issue (aside from baby Spike in Prime's vision).
In many ways, Beachcomber’s moment was also Spike’s moment. As you noted, the only reason Beachcomber was there was because of Spike. I hear you though & agree, it would be great to have actually seen that play out more but this issue was already jam packed with story in those 22 pages, which included 3 splashy images to close it out. So I do understand the decision to just save that side of the story for the sake of the epic Beachcomber reveal as much as I too would’ve love to see Spike somewhere here.

@DeltaTrion Well the next issue is some time away, I think early October, maybe the 9th if I'm not mistaken. I've heard murmurs that it's going to be unrelated to the events currently unfolding, something to do with Starscream, not quite sure why. We'll wait and see. But yes that give us time to think, probably too much time . But to touch on what you said, Spike was a passenger in Astrotrain when he got shot down on his way to the Space Bridge, and Beachcomber somehow restrained him. So I think there was an active decision to keep Spike out this issue because there was just too much Action going on lol, ofcourse too much at stake . I feel it would've made the pay off of Optimus's and Elita's conflict and the consequences of that abit dimmer if we looked away at a different scene or perspective if Spike was making his way to the Battle .. On the other hand tho . It would've hit completely different if Spike witnessed what he did to Shockwave having seen the deer and His memory of Primes compassion, which gave Spike the spirit to fight back . Man oh man Spike would then have to see Optimus kill , possibly changing his regard for Optimus I don't know I don't know. But again, apparently it's going to be a while before we return to the events that took place in the ocean.
Megatron’s arm corrupting Optimus makes the most sense. I’m curious if this will lead to a Nemesis Prime situation or if it’ll be something different. Whichever way it goes I just hope DWJ wraps it up by the end of his run, which I expect he will, but sometimes writers lay so much track they can’t see it all the way to the end. As we’re getting a new artist for the next series of issues I wonder if we could see DWJ return to do the art for his final arc. As for Optimus and his old self, I hope that DWJ keeps the Orion Pax origin. I could see that once Orion becomes Optimus, fully enters the war and has to deal with all of the trauma and brutality of it, that he becomes much more vicious and takes a “the ends justify the means approach.” But after awakening on earth, he re-centers back to a version of who he was before the war, now being more of a protector than a soldier.

I initially thought Sparky's memories were going to be sort of a bridge for Spike and Optimus' connection, but now, I think Sparky's memories will likely be one of the barriers that Optimus will need to hold off a full-tilt "corruption" of Optimus from Megatron's cannon. I'm thinking DWJ will treat Megatron's fusion cannon sort of like how the Harry Potter storyline treated the elder wand, in that it was a hugely powerful device, which could be devastating if wielded by the wrong person. But...right now, the Autobots are usually outgunned and outnumbered, and as a result, Prime has to use such a weapon to keep the odds in the Autobot's favor, despite the risk of still keeping such a weapon "active" (and open to falling into the wrong hands - see Megatron's eventual return) as opposed to destroying it.
If Megabucket's mind can cause alot of harm and evil, no wonder even an piece of him can do. Especially one that is so powerful. Such as an arm cannon.
There's no doubt that Megatron's arm is corrupting Optimus. Megatron's energon or whatever essence in that arm must be getting into Optimus's mind and spark.

Nice work on the video! I wonder if there's going to be anything with Dark Energon in this continuity - that might partly explain what's going on with Optimus, if Megatron's arm is in fact having any influence on him. It maybe it'll be something even crazier! It does seem significant that he looks at the Megatron arm when he's questioning what he's done.
We can only hope to see! , him looking at the arm is definitely something for the reader to stoke suspicion. If it wasn't for Elita to say "finally see your old self returning" I would be of the opinion it wasn't the arm , but his eyes man , His Eyes! . that's very telling of some sort of Influence. I think they are leaning into what would/could happen if Optimus gets fully corrupted. . Or if Maybe Megatron gets his arm back before that could happen. Next issues will be a sory arc without Johnsons lead, it would probably be a slow episode and the following one answering the many loose ends after #12. Good to see you in the comments 👋
Thanks! Yea it would be really cool that this is how dark energon is slowly introduced and who other than megatron! Who knows maybe next Volume can cover it!
I read this issue last week and I was very impressed with what we got. Highlights +Carly ramming Soundwave with her car to save Cliffjumper. +Cliffjumper being smashed into the Combaticons by Devastator accidentally 😂😂😂😂😂 +Optimus Prime and Elita One doing a Hoth AT-AT takedown on Devastator. (Clearly there are Star Wars fans that work at Skybound). +Optimus Prime beating down three Combaticons single-handedly and then getting his payback on Shockwave who bites the dust because of said payback. +Elita One’s philosophical debate with Optimus +Optimus choosing to save Earth over Cybertron +Beachcombers save All in all, Transformers #12 caps the Transport To Oblivion arc with a bang and the Autobots getting a well earned but bittersweet victory. With stellar art from Jorge Corona, brilliant action sequences, great writing from Daniel Warren Johnson and themes revolving around revenge, ethics and sacrifice, this Issue cements this Arc as both a superior product to its predecessor and a major reason as to why this just might be the greatest iteration the Transformers have gotten in the modern day.
Is it me or does optimus have a really tiny head? Also I don't know why writers keep turning elita into a villain but this is the third time I think (if not more). After being presumed dead in animated, she becomes black arachnia and sides with the decepticons. There's a comic where I think she's supposed to be quite a corrupt leader (but then sacrifices herself to try stop unicron). And now she's on the same level as shockwave. She's finally been getting more recognition and screen time in recent years but I don't like when they make her morally ambiguous or straight up evil
I dont feel bad for siding with Elta at all. Matter of fact, I would've done the same thing. If earth was at the point cybertron is and all my friends and family were on the brink of death, id do ANYTHING to save them. She has a very vaild point.
The only way I can see Megatron’s arm having the ability to corrupt prime, would be the use of Dark energon. Think about it, what else can cause Prime to have such a response? It would be super cool to see that Megatron’s very blood is the stuff of destroying Prime.
I think its not Megatron, but Sparkplug's consciousness affecting Prime's mind. Ever since he sacrificed himself by merging with the Matrix of Leadership he's probably become a part of Prime's consciousness. Optimus chose Earth over Cybertron maybe because subconsciously, its Sparkplug who made the choice(because, well, he's human).
I'm so happy it physically hurts this comic is 11/10 and I PRAY they keep things problematic between Optimus and elita. Better yet if they hate each other or Optimus ends up killing her. Her view is understandable, i just don't like them being together lol
Would have wanted to see Magnus shine but no. I would have liked him to "de-armored" to an albino Optimus like they did in I think Dreamwave or IDW, since they don't have a lot of energon instead of cowering like a coward.
Agreed. Prime uses his trailer for an operating/battle station where Magnus used his as Battle Armor. I'd have loved to have seen him go Albino Optimus and make use with what he has.
I agree with everything you said about liking the art of the 1st 6 issues better, and even about how good this issue is, but I personally think it best to do more of an unemotional review and analysis of the comic. You seemed super hyped, and I think a neutral tone would be better. (I may not be in the majority in this, but it is my opinion)
The first & second volumes were definitely Optimus Prime driven. Volume three & four will be no different. I bet we’re going to see some form of Nemesis Prime before DWJ is done writing TF.
It's possible that is Sparky memories what are causing it, he was in a severe depression deribated of his time of service and the lost of his oldest Son in army service. War and combat whould be trigger by it I have the doubt if is really Spike who see this time.

Also, the preview pages for Issue 13 have arrived... Maybe setting up Ratchet and Jetfire's resurrection... (My boys...😭)
I do see that shockwave here wuth be a clone of the real shockwave he has done this motible times he even made a clone to fight off the dinobots and was a little weaker than the original so maybe shockwave cut return here
Olso that moment with prime and elita realy hits me 😢 i understand bove sides elita has lost so mutch she just wants to save her people and her planet meanwille optimus wants to do the same but in a good way without secrefase
Imagine if Megatron's arm ends up turning Optimus into Nemesis Prime. That'd be an interesting take on Nemesis
This issue is perfect
I hope the Cliff Jumper curse didn't just claim anther Cliff Jumper.
HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY "TRANSFORMERS GENERATION ONE" (SEPTEMBER 17, 1984) and TRANSFORMERS AS A WHOLE. TILL ALL ARE ONE😊

Optimus prime is slowly turning into a Deceptacon
Nice work on the video! I wonder if there's going to be anything with Dark Energon in this continuity - that might partly explain what's going on with Optimus, if Megatron's arm is in fact having any influence on him. It maybe it'll be something even crazier! It does seem significant that he looks at the Megatron arm when he's questioning what he's done.
It's probably Megatron's arm corrupting him
We can only hope to see! , him looking at the arm is definitely something for the reader to stoke suspicion.
7:16 *Cue Linkin Park*
Great ending
WAKE UP BOYS SWIZZ PRIME JUST DROPPED A VIDEO
What happened to jazz?
cant wait for nemesis prime at this rate
Dude I love the intusiasm.❤
I read this issue last week and I was very impressed with what we got.
Highlights
+Carly ramming Soundwave with her car to save Cliffjumper.
+Cliffjumper being smashed into the Combaticons by Devastator accidentally 😂😂😂😂😂
+Optimus Prime and Elita One doing a Hoth AT-AT takedown on Devastator. (Clearly there are Star Wars fans that work at Skybound).
+Optimus Prime beating down three Combaticons single-handedly and then getting his payback on Shockwave who bites the dust because of said payback.
+Elita One’s philosophical debate with Optimus
+Optimus choosing to save Earth over Cybertron
+Beachcombers save
All in all, Transformers #12 caps the Transport To Oblivion arc with a bang and the Autobots getting a well earned but bittersweet victory.
Probably a slimmer of dark energon in there because megatron in the war for cybertron series always used it to bust ooeb doors and junk.
OPTIMUS WITH PURPLE EYES WAS SCARY😬
optimus served in this one
WHERE ARE CLIFFJUMPER AND JETFIRE?!! ARE THEY ALIVE?! D':
Is it me or does optimus have a really tiny head? Also I don't know why writers keep turning elita into a villain but this is the third time I think (if not more). After being presumed dead in animated, she becomes black arachnia and sides with the decepticons. There's a comic where I think she's supposed to be quite a corrupt leader (but then sacrifices herself to try stop unicron). And now she's on the same level as shockwave. She's finally been getting more recognition and screen time in recent years but I don't like when they make her morally ambiguous or straight up evil
I hope we get more Megatron & Starscream in volume 3.
you and me both!
Im wondering what happend to cliff
MY GOD THIS WAS EPIC
I dont feel bad for siding with Elta at all. Matter of fact, I would've done the same thing. If earth was at the point cybertron is and all my friends and family were on the brink of death, id do ANYTHING to save them. She has a very vaild point.
Optimus has a Heaven's Feel moment lmao
who the fuck is cooking at skybound
3:33 do you want to have a bad time, shockwave?
Im looking forward to the megatron vs astrotrain fight
jfc what a good story 😩
Optimus prime is a D1 crashout
@@hcole3201 bro was seeing red 😂😭
Will it take inspiration from TF Amimated and make elita turn into Blackarachnia?
yea I was wondering the same thing after uploading!
OKkayy, haven't seen this series but.... Prime has Megatron's arm and fusion cannon? This sounds interesting.
it's a good series! def would recommend to read them or check out the playlist!
THANK YOU! and glad to know I'm not the only one who wanted to see albino optimus make a comeback
I don't think the baby in the visions is Spike but his older brother instead
Poor Optimus, stretched with the burden of leadership, choices and Megatron's arm slowly corrupting him.
Myyy budddyyy beachhh isss daaa goaattttt🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
I think on the thumbnail , optimus reached a new HIGH
Nemesis prime is his future this may be the point where it comes to a head
He becomes Micheal bay Optimus 😱
The first & second volumes were definitely Optimus Prime driven. Volume three & four will be no different. I bet we’re going to see some form of Nemesis Prime before DWJ is done writing TF.
Will you review TFone in theaters
we shall see idk yet
Oh my god, optimus prime never get this strong before 😱😱😱
If Megatrons arm Liquid Snake's Optimus im gonna scream
It's possible that is Sparky memories what are causing it, he was in a severe depression deribated of his time of service and the lost of his oldest Son in army service. War and combat whould be trigger by it
I have the doubt if is really Spike who see this time.
