Head cannon: At birth each Cybertronian has a basic body structure that correlates to how they transform and where those parts go. @@Moonbase3 For G1, it worked because of how Megatron allows Prime to use him in Gun Mode. So here, since it’s basically a rebooted G1 (G3 maybe?), it’s not very far fetched. However it can’t always work in other incarnations because of the context of the story. Beast Wars, a T-Rex Gorilla Fusion…I mean there is Fuzors, but nah. Unicron Trilogy would make it seem silly. Animated didn’t give enough of a rivalry for it to work. Transformers Prime, given everything that’s happen, nah, it would be VERY out of character for that Optimus to use his cannon. Cybertron games, works because Throwback Blaster. Earthspark, Megs let Prime use it at one point. And you know Hollywood is gonna bandwagon on this, even if we all know Movies take YEARS to make, and by then this unique trend is already over………unless they stop riding on Bay’s previous success and just create good stories with the Transformers like Skybound is doing.
That's a good point! I hadn't looked at it that way with the other continuities. And I probably wouldn't have made the connection between this and Prime firing Megatron in gun mode a couple times in the G1 series if you hadn't mentioned it. Thinking about it, I'm kinda surprised they never had Optimus use the cannon against Megatron - since Brawn got to!
What I find interesting is that the Cybertronians aren’t all "I’m permanently dead because you shot me" but instead are super repairable where injuries aren’t super fatal and can be repaired easily. Though I don’t know about Reflector cause he was atomized and his spark would have probably went as well though it would be cool that because of his destruction, we can see him become the three Reflectors.

All the other cars seen so far are stuff that would've typically been seen on the road in the 80s, though. Attempting to figure out a solid time period of this series is gonna be fun.

I think Shockwave would not be shocked at the callousness of the situation, but the illogical wastefulness of scrapping a soldier in a war front lacking reinforcements instead of using spare parts first to at least attempt a repair job without losses of soldiers for future use.

Wheeljack and Arcee are finally here! Devastador was definitely a surprise to me, I wasn’t expecting him at all. There is gonna be some mayhem next issue! Can’t for Elita-1 as she was shown in the issue #7 cover you showed last video but she is also front and center in the cover of issue #8 which just makes me more excited for what’s to come!

I have the feeling that Optimus will get a story centered around his ‘addiction’ to using Megatron’s cannon. As in, he’ll start to grow semi-arrogant from blasting Cons left and right that he unintentionally disregards collateral damage or other Autobots in need. In fact, I can just picture the end moment he says, “I never meant for this to happen. We simply needed more firepower.” Although considering where the storyline’s going, I highly doubt it. Personally, I prefer Telewrap.
Sheesh, Jazz, Ratchet, Arcee, Wheeljack etc etc... This might be my favorite lineup of main Autobots especially if a certain other fembot ends up joining as solicitations have been hinting.
Lots of great cheer worthy moments throughout this issue, Devastator was a huge surprise (no pun intended). On the topic of G1, I’ve been satisfied with how it feels like designs are really the only thing that are overtly G1. The storytelling and events have felt so fresh and unique, along with DWJ’s actual art style, that it’s very easy to see this as its own new thing.
I think that's well-said, that it's the designs that feel the most overtly G1. And I agree about the overall storytelling - despite being rooted in the G1 cartoon, or the odd superficial comparison to other comics continuities here and there, the art and writing make this feel different than anything else we've gotten as far as Transformers comics go. I'm intrigued to see how things go when Johnson moves over to writing duties only for the second arc and beyond when he departs the book entirely. I'm open to seeing new creators take the reigns, but he'll be a tough act to follow!
This comic gets better and better! And yeah I'd be all over a 3p (or as unlikely as it is official) Fusion Cannon prime. Some folks said this could be a good way to get Optimus reformatted into his G2 Hero variant. I dont see it happening... but being the fan of neon camouflages and 90s radness I am, I can dream. Loving a lot of the character moments too, like Cliffjumper secretly bringing Carly along. And Carly's got some servo's on'er! Didn't hesitate to get a glock out and shoot some Cons lol.
I had a section on Carly recorded, but wasn't satisfied with it, so I cut it during the final editing for the video. I'm expecting there to be a little bit more to talk about there after issue #6. Needless to say, I definitely am enjoying what Johnson is doing with the character! And, I'm with you on those eye-searing G2 decos! I loved it when Transformers became so intensely colorful during that time!
Skywarp is and always has been My favorite TF. For one reason and one reason alone, he can warp! But in the first episode and in others I believe he had to ask permission. This series has been great at working things in from the G1 series. I can see them hooking him up to the ship to give it warp capabilities. We shall see.
On my full thoughts, I loved this issue. Had a lot of heart, a plethora of great character moments, and one BIG reveal. Of course the biggest highlight to me was of course Wheeljack back in action. ‘Jack is among my favorite characters ever, so I always look forward (and often dread) seeing him come back in new media. This version of the mechanical engineer is quite decent, taking on the kinder and gentler personality of latter IDW/Robots in Disguise 2012. Love that version, though I do hope in upcoming issues we get a bit more of the slightly chaotic Sunbow Wheeljack. The biggest surprise was trading Skywarp for Thundercracker. TC is my second favorite ‘con after Sixshot, so that was a delightful reveal for me. Unfortunately both Skywarp and Thundercracker tend to have a pretty short shelf life outside IDW, so perhaps my rejoicing is premature. In any case love to see him in functioning condition. I agree with you: I don’t think Skywarp has bought it yet, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if he did. Perhaps DWJ’s commentary will clear that up like it did TC’s fate in issue 1. (All of this said, Starscream and Soundwave are in fact a couple of absolute dicks.) But I didn’t just get my favorite Autobot back, I got my second and third[ish] favorites back as well with Jazz and Arcee. Love that Jazz is back again, busting ‘cons the moment he’s online. There’s that little moment between Arcee and Ratchet that I love, and I interpret as a little homage to Transformers Animated where they had a very close friendship. Then there’s Reflector, Frenzy, and DEVASTATOR. Reflector is fun, and honestly I prefer Frenzy to Rumble (better name and colors, those being RED), but it looks like they both ate shit pretty hard (Reflector look like he don’t feel so good Mr. Starscream). That’s the way it goes sometimes. But the Devastator reveal was amazing, the artwork conveying the sheer size and horror of the great Decepticon gestalt. I’m a little bit afraid that this will worf Devestator in the long run, but that’s probably inevitable. Still what an awesome way to end the first arc! I’m already counting the days until the next issue to see that climactic confrontation. Masterful work as always MB3!
You know, I've always preferred Frenzy to Rumble as well, for the exact reasons you listed! I agree with pretty much all of what you've written here. I really like Thundercracker, but it is surprising to see him tag in for Skywarp - I would have thought Skywarp would have been more "evergreen" due to his teleportation abilities...seems like said abilities would be more useful for plot/narrative devices than TC's sonic boom abilities...but what do I know! Regardless, I am hoping that Skywarp's fate is either addressed in the comic or during one of DWJ's commentaries.
I have a theory about the miss coloring of background characters. What if it is homage to the actual cartoon? In the G1 Cartoon because it was a rush production most of the time, miss coloring and miss placing characters was pretty often. I would like to think they pay homage to that little quirk of the original cartoon and in my eyes as a fan of G1, it adds more to its charm. I could be wrong tho XD
It definitely could be an intentional homage! Even if it's not intentional I could see how it could still be a nostalgic callback to those animation errors. :)
This issue had so many insane panels and page turns. The action went absolutely crazy, the panel of Arcee drifting up the dam was insane, and the constructicon reveal out of NOWHERE had me legitimately shouting. Awesome issue can’t wait for the next

It was subtle, but Ratchet and Arcee appear to have some sort of close bond in this issue. Whether or not that's a romantic relationship, I have no idea. But I'm definitely interested to see more!
What do you think about Go Beyond Comics' theory that the Ark unintentionally destroyed Jimmy's shuttle when it entered Earth's atmosphere? 🤔 I wonder how that would work but imagine if the shuttle was destroyed in space heading somewhere and they found out it was directly caused by the Ark.
I hadn't heard that one yet - interesting! Like you, I also wonder how the specifics of that would work out (did anybody see the Ark entering the atmosphere? Maybe someone did and it's...classified), but it's certainly possible. That would be a pretty brutal twist in light of what happens in issue 6. I assumed the stuff with Jimmy was just there 1) to set up Sparky's arc; and 2) to set up some eventual payoffs with Spike potentially going to Cybertron (as Spike was shown to be interested in following in Jimmy's footsteps and becoming an astronaut in #1), but I could be wrong.

First IDW now Skybound. Please don’t let Skywarp being turned into machinery become the new ‘Cliffjumper must die’ lol Reflector being a single individual meant be a cartoon reference. Since I’m pretty sure there the intend the single reflector with the spyglass was the original, and the other 2 were just clones. But in order to booster up the Decepticon ranks decided to make a bunch of clones of reflector as background fillers.
Could be! I've seen a few theories that Reflector's apparent demise here might be setting up the three-robot version somehow. Maybe they'll take the clone approach somehow?

this issues show cases how S!@# Starscream's leadership, when Telatrain-1 is fixed Soundwave tries to repair Ravage only for Starscream to kick Ravage out of Soundwave's arms and drags over Thundercraker. Soundwave then tells Starscream about the Autobots getting the Energon that the Decepticons gathered, the Energon that Starscream left so he could hunt Optimus. Having the Constructicons up and running is good but Starscream should have go to them first to further repair then fortify the ark. Looking forward to the issue 7 where Soundwave changes Srarscream for leadership. good call of the fight near then dam being a call back the Sherman Dam fight in the cartoon, it was so different that I didn't notice. Also liked the little Animated bit between Arcee and Ratchet.
Oh yeah, despite continuously keeping the Autobots off balance, Starscream's leadership is horrendous and I think it'll come back to bite him in numerous ways. His treatment of Soundwave's tapes and fellow Decepticons, lying about Skywarp's "sacrifice," and whatever happened between him and Megatron during the Ark crash...they're setting him up to really take a fall at some point.
Well, Optimus does have a line about the last he remembers, Starscream was on the receiving end of the fusion cannon, so it seems like it's definitely possible!
Personally, I don't think the bot that Prime's mourning at the start is Perceptor, but another Autobot who shares his bodytype but with a different paint job.
With one of the covers for issue 7 showing Starscream crushing Ravage and if Rumble and Frenzy are dead that could potentially leave Soundwave with just Laserbeak,Buzzsaw,and Ratbat. Unless they’re planning to put in other Decepticon Mini-Cassettes for Soundwave like Squawk-Talk,BeastBox,Flipsides,Howback,Slugfest,and Overkill.

I think it would be cool after all in the Marvel Comics Universe whenever Soundwave would be leader temporarily he’s shown to be an extremely effective leader.
Yeah, I would be very interested in seeing Soundwave take control! Although that will no doubt be bad news for the Autobots as I would expect Soundwave to do a much better job than Starscream.
@@Moonbase3 you know characters I’m interested to see what they do with is the Terrorcons. They are Decepticons but in the G1 episode Money Is Everything and the Japanese cartoon continuity they worked with the Quintessons. Plus I feel like the G1 Terrorcons are far too underutilized.

I really need the transformation diagram of this Optimus Prime. WHen he was un-armed, he still could turn into a mostly full truck, but in this issue, with Megatron´s arm, he has the fussion cannon replacing his missing smoke stack. It is quite interesting. Also, I guess we can count Bumblejumper/Bumper as one of the dead, XD

Hey, Moonbase 3. Sorry, I'm so late to comment on this. Long story short the digital release of this issue was delayed by a week (For whatever bizarre reason) and that's been how I've been reading these issues. I wanted to read it for myself before watching your video. But I'm here now, and me oh my this issue was fantastic! I'm glad we're finally seeing some of the Autobots come online, looks like we didn't have to wait long before getting Jazz back for good. And yes I am also very surprised at the fact we're seeing combiners this early. I guess if I have any concerns right now... I'm worried Johnson might be going through characters too quickly. I mean yeah it's not definitively clear if Skywarp is dead or not but the death of Reflector, the implied death of Blaster and Perceptor, and the fact the solicitation for the next issuing promising "Someone will die" makes me nervous. I don't want the Energon universe to kill off too many interesting characters too soon, especially if they wanna keep this going for a while. And yeah I know death is cheap in the world of Transformers but I don't want them to over rely on resurrecting characters. Still, for now, this series is an absolute blast. I can't wait to see how this first arc is gonna wrap up.
Good to hear from you, dude! I heard the Kindle version was delayed, which was very odd, but I totally get wanting to read the issue before watching the vid! I think you raise a valid concern with burning through characters too quickly. Sure, Transformers has tons and tons of characters to draw from, but it definitely would be nice for characters to get some significant page time and character development. My hope is that there's a cluster of safe or mostly safe characters that will continue on in the story for the long term while the "bit players" are the ones that are being killed off. In theory, that means that the most important characters (important to the story, that is) will still be around and driving the story forward. The obvious problem there, though, is that every Transformers character is somebody's favorite and is bound to lead to some disappointment. I don't envy DWJ or future writers on the series having to make those decisions! Also, I 100% agree with you in not wanting a bunch of resurrections. Too much of that stuff can really wear me down.

It's good to see Thundercracker back. IDW's fleshing out of his character has made him a huge favorite of mine (To the point I'm even writing a fanfiction starring him right now... yes I write fanfiction don't judge me LOL). I'm glad Johnson seems to be drawing from his IDW take based on the brief glimpse we see in this issue, which makes sense given I think Johnson mentioned he's read All Hail Megatron before. Also, it was a small thing, but the KAT logo in Long Haul felt like it was thrown in there for me because my dad used to work for the actual CAT company. XD
No judgment here! I think that's pretty cool that you're working on some fan fiction! I agree that the brief bit we get with Thundercracker was interesting and compelling. I would definitely like to see that character stick around and be further developed. I can definitely see him being part of the reckoning when Starscream's lies and poor leadership catch up to him. And that's cool about the KAT logo - I love it when little things like that jump out for people because of their own experiences!

As in, he’ll start to grow semi-arrogant from blasting Cons left and right that he unintentionally disregards collateral damage or other Autobots in need. In fact, I can just picture the end moment he says, “I never meant for this to happen. We simply needed more firepower.” Although considering where the storyline’s going, I highly doubt it.

Lots of great cheer worthy moments throughout this issue, Devastator was a huge surprise (no pun intended). On the topic of G1, I’ve been satisfied with how it feels like designs are really the only thing that are overtly G1. The storytelling and events have felt so fresh and unique, along with DWJ’s actual art style, that it’s very easy to see this as its own new thing.
I think that's well-said, that it's the designs that feel the most overtly G1. And I agree about the overall storytelling - despite being rooted in the G1 cartoon, or the odd superficial comparison to other comics continuities here and there, the art and writing make this feel different than anything else we've gotten as far as Transformers comics go. I'm intrigued to see how things go when Johnson moves over to writing duties only for the second arc and beyond when he departs the book entirely. I'm open to seeing new creators take the reigns, but he'll be a tough act to follow!
This comic gets better and better! And yeah I'd be all over a 3p (or as unlikely as it is official) Fusion Cannon prime. Some folks said this could be a good way to get Optimus reformatted into his G2 Hero variant. I dont see it happening... but being the fan of neon camouflages and 90s radness I am, I can dream. Loving a lot of the character moments too, like Cliffjumper secretly bringing Carly along. And Carly's got some servo's on'er! Didn't hesitate to get a glock out and shoot some Cons lol.
I had a section on Carly recorded, but wasn't satisfied with it, so I cut it during the final editing for the video. I'm expecting there to be a little bit more to talk about there after issue #6. Needless to say, I definitely am enjoying what Johnson is doing with the character!
And, I'm with you on those eye-searing G2 decos! I loved it when Transformers became so intensely colorful during that time!

Skywarp is and always has been My favorite TF. For one reason and one reason alone, he can warp! But in the first episode and in others I believe he had to ask permission. This series has been great at working things in from the G1 series. I can see them hooking him up to the ship to give it warp capabilities. We shall see.
Yeah, I'm wondering if it'll be something like that. IDW 05 did a similar thing in Robots in Disguise, so maybe that's influenced my thinking on it.

On my full thoughts, I loved this issue. Had a lot of heart, a plethora of great character moments, and one BIG reveal.
Of course the biggest highlight to me was of course Wheeljack back in action. ‘Jack is among my favorite characters ever, so I always look forward (and often dread) seeing him come back in new media. This version of the mechanical engineer is quite decent, taking on the kinder and gentler personality of latter IDW/Robots in Disguise 2012. Love that version, though I do hope in upcoming issues we get a bit more of the slightly chaotic Sunbow Wheeljack.
The biggest surprise was trading Skywarp for Thundercracker. TC is my second favorite ‘con after Sixshot, so that was a delightful reveal for me. Unfortunately both Skywarp and Thundercracker tend to have a pretty short shelf life outside IDW, so perhaps my rejoicing is premature. In any case love to see him in functioning condition. I agree with you: I don’t think Skywarp has bought it yet, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if he did. Perhaps DWJ’s commentary will clear that up like it did TC’s fate in issue 1. (All of this said, Starscream and Soundwave are in fact a couple of absolute dicks.)
But I didn’t just get my favorite Autobot back, I got my second and third[ish] favorites back as well with Jazz and Arcee. Love that Jazz is back again, busting ‘cons the moment he’s online. There’s that little moment between Arcee and Ratchet that I love, and I interpret as a little homage to Transformers Animated where they had a very close friendship. Then there’s Reflector, Frenzy, and DEVASTATOR. Reflector is fun, and honestly I prefer Frenzy to Rumble (better name and colors, those being RED), but it looks like they both ate shit pretty hard (Reflector look like he don’t feel so good Mr. Starscream). That’s the way it goes sometimes. But the Devastator reveal was amazing, the artwork conveying the sheer size and horror of the great Decepticon gestalt. I’m a little bit afraid that this will worf Devestator in the long run, but that’s probably inevitable. Still what an awesome way to end the first arc!
I’m already counting the days until the next issue to see that climactic confrontation. Masterful work as always MB3!

I agree with pretty much all of what you've written here. I really like Thundercracker, but it is surprising to see him tag in for Skywarp - I would have thought Skywarp would have been more "evergreen" due to his teleportation abilities...seems like said abilities would be more useful for plot/narrative devices than TC's sonic boom abilities...but what do I know! Regardless, I am hoping that Skywarp's fate is either addressed in the comic or during one of DWJ's commentaries.

I have a theory about the miss coloring of background characters. What if it is homage to the actual cartoon?
In the G1 Cartoon because it was a rush production most of the time, miss coloring and miss placing characters was pretty often.
I would like to think they pay homage to that little quirk of the original cartoon and in my eyes as a fan of G1, it adds more to its charm.

Arcee looks like an Italian supercar, my first thought was a lamborghini, specifically a Revuelto. but it could also be a ferrari of some sort.
There are a few comments saying she turns into a Revuelto - that seems to be the consensus, but now I'm curious if there's a Ferrari that's similar!

What do you think about Go Beyond Comics' theory that the Ark unintentionally destroyed Jimmy's shuttle when it entered Earth's atmosphere? 🤔 I wonder how that would work but imagine if the shuttle was destroyed in space heading somewhere and they found out it was directly caused by the Ark.
I hadn't heard that one yet - interesting! Like you, I also wonder how the specifics of that would work out (did anybody see the Ark entering the atmosphere? Maybe someone did and it's...classified), but it's certainly possible. That would be a pretty brutal twist in light of what happens in issue 6. I assumed the stuff with Jimmy was just there 1) to set up Sparky's arc; and 2) to set up some eventual payoffs with Spike potentially going to Cybertron (as Spike was shown to be interested in following in Jimmy's footsteps and becoming an astronaut in #1), but I could be wrong.

Reflector being a single individual meant be a cartoon reference. Since I’m pretty sure there the intend the single reflector with the spyglass was the original, and the other 2 were just clones. But in order to booster up the Decepticon ranks decided to make a bunch of clones of reflector as background fillers.
Could be! I've seen a few theories that Reflector's apparent demise here might be setting up the three-robot version somehow. Maybe they'll take the clone approach somehow?

this issues show cases how S!@# Starscream's leadership, when Telatrain-1 is fixed Soundwave tries to repair Ravage only for Starscream to kick Ravage out of Soundwave's arms and drags over Thundercraker. Soundwave then tells Starscream about the Autobots getting the Energon that the Decepticons gathered, the Energon that Starscream left so he could hunt Optimus. Having the Constructicons up and running is good but Starscream should have go to them first to further repair then fortify the ark. Looking forward to the issue 7 where Soundwave changes Srarscream for leadership. good call of the fight near then dam being a call back the Sherman Dam fight in the cartoon, it was so different that I didn't notice. Also liked the little Animated bit between Arcee and Ratchet.
Oh yeah, despite continuously keeping the Autobots off balance, Starscream's leadership is horrendous and I think it'll come back to bite him in numerous ways. His treatment of Soundwave's tapes and fellow Decepticons, lying about Skywarp's "sacrifice," and whatever happened between him and Megatron during the Ark crash...they're setting him up to really take a fall at some point.

Well, Optimus does have a line about the last he remembers, Starscream was on the receiving end of the fusion cannon, so it seems like it's definitely possible!
Personally, I don't think the bot that Prime's mourning at the start is Perceptor, but another Autobot who shares his bodytype but with a different paint job.

With one of the covers for issue 7 showing Starscream crushing Ravage and if Rumble and Frenzy are dead that could potentially leave Soundwave with just Laserbeak,Buzzsaw,and Ratbat. Unless they’re planning to put in other Decepticon Mini-Cassettes for Soundwave like Squawk-Talk,BeastBox,Flipsides,Howback,Slugfest,and Overkill.
That would be pretty cool if some of those lesser-known cassettes got some time to shine!

I think it would be cool after all in the Marvel Comics Universe whenever Soundwave would be leader temporarily he’s shown to be an extremely effective leader.
Yeah, I would be very interested in seeing Soundwave take control! Although that will no doubt be bad news for the Autobots as I would expect Soundwave to do a much better job than Starscream.
@@Moonbase3 you know characters I’m interested to see what they do with is the Terrorcons. They are Decepticons but in the G1 episode Money Is Everything and the Japanese cartoon continuity they worked with the Quintessons. Plus I feel like the G1 Terrorcons are far too underutilized.

I made a Lego mod of that arm and it works the same in the car mode as well for the Lego prime set
I really need the transformation diagram of this Optimus Prime. WHen he was un-armed, he still could turn into a mostly full truck, but in this issue, with Megatron´s arm, he has the fussion cannon replacing his missing smoke stack. It is quite interesting.
Also, I guess we can count Bumblejumper/Bumper as one of the dead, XD

I think that the yellow mini bot is just Bumper. Totally seems like the kind of deep cut Skybound would have.
It's certainly possible, but the different head design for G1 Bumper has me hesitant on that.

When the Autobots inevitably take control of the Arc again, Skywarp's teleportation ability will be a sorts "get out of jail free"" card the Decepticons can play.

I was so glad that we got an earth mode Arcee! Means that they're not sticking to G1 designs 100% of the time and that other characters with typical cybertronian alt modes (i.e. the upcoming Elita-One) could get new modes too

Hey, Moonbase 3. Sorry, I'm so late to comment on this. Long story short the digital release of this issue was delayed by a week (For whatever bizarre reason) and that's been how I've been reading these issues. I wanted to read it for myself before watching your video.
But I'm here now, and me oh my this issue was fantastic! I'm glad we're finally seeing some of the Autobots come online, looks like we didn't have to wait long before getting Jazz back for good.
And yes I am also very surprised at the fact we're seeing combiners this early.
I guess if I have any concerns right now... I'm worried Johnson might be going through characters too quickly. I mean yeah it's not definitively clear if Skywarp is dead or not but the death of Reflector, the implied death of Blaster and Perceptor, and the fact the solicitation for the next issuing promising "Someone will die" makes me nervous. I don't want the Energon universe to kill off too many interesting characters too soon, especially if they wanna keep this going for a while. And yeah I know death is cheap in the world of Transformers but I don't want them to over rely on resurrecting characters.
Still, for now, this series is an absolute blast. I can't wait to see how this first arc is gonna wrap up.

I think you raise a valid concern with burning through characters too quickly. Sure, Transformers has tons and tons of characters to draw from, but it definitely would be nice for characters to get some significant page time and character development. My hope is that there's a cluster of safe or mostly safe characters that will continue on in the story for the long term while the "bit players" are the ones that are being killed off. In theory, that means that the most important characters (important to the story, that is) will still be around and driving the story forward.
The obvious problem there, though, is that every Transformers character is somebody's favorite and is bound to lead to some disappointment. I don't envy DWJ or future writers on the series having to make those decisions!
Also, I 100% agree with you in not wanting a bunch of resurrections. Too much of that stuff can really wear me down.

As for other stuff in this issue I liked. It's good to see Thundercracker back. IDW's fleshing out of his character has made him a huge favorite of mine (To the point I'm even writing a fanfiction starring him right now... yes I write fanfiction don't judge me LOL). I'm glad Johnson seems to be drawing from his IDW take based on the brief glimpse we see in this issue, which makes sense given I think Johnson mentioned he's read All Hail Megatron before.
Also, it was a small thing, but the KAT logo in Long Haul felt like it was thrown in there for me because my dad used to work for the actual CAT company. XD
No judgment here! I think that's pretty cool that you're working on some fan fiction! I agree that the brief bit we get with Thundercracker was interesting and compelling. I would definitely like to see that character stick around and be further developed. I can definitely see him being part of the reckoning when Starscream's lies and poor leadership catch up to him.
