Houston has had to grind out this game, and Texas A&M deserves credit for making this a thrilling game to remember. The Cougars are gonna have to clean things up before their matchup with Duke

I don't normally start to watch until round 2 or 3. Usually round 3. This game was awesome
That had to be one of the greatest games in March Madness history. What a game that was! The Aggies were dead in the water with just over a minute to go and they somehow forced OT on that wild three. Houston grinded it out but I gotta hand it to the Aggies for putting up a fight. Great game!

The officiating was very much favored towards A&M. The amount of FTs they shot, plus a bogus jump ball call at the end. They had so many chances to win. All they had to do was take advantage of the opportunity given to them by the officiating crew and they didn’t.

Masterful work to edit out the announcers saying how much Houston was fouling but getting away with… real topic on the halftime show… should’ve been a lot more free throws.. Houston got exposed: if a&m makes their free points they win by 16, let that sink in. Houston is trash and shouldn’t be a 1 seed

That jump ball call might be the worst call in basketball history. Investigate that ref, he had money on the game.
From the angle in this video i see it as a jump ball, they both had hands on it before the Houston player ripped it away.
The only thing I see suspicious about it is that the ref called it very late as soon as he saw that the Texas player was losing control but idk 🤷🏿♀️

@@Mdksupreme1 he was a preferred walk on at Houston to start his career and now has been there for 4 years. During his sophomore year, his father unexpectedly passed away. Fast forward to now, he hit a clutch free throw for Houston to advance to the Sweet 16! He also had 7 points against Kansas on senior night

I guess the moral victory it's a lot better than the sweet 16,congratulations aggies!
8 players vs 5. Someone decided to give the SEC a golf handicap, +15 free throws and +4 key players with a 4 point game in OT with more than 1 minute to go in order to make the game look competitive. Giving UH all the credit here as they were meant to lose this game. Whenever they play higher profile conference, the fouls are stacked against them.

Against 1-sided foul calls. A&M's 45 free throw attempts to Houston's 30. 4 Houston starters fouled out and the last starter with 4 fouls.
Almost 5 guys fouling out is unheard of.

The jump ball call at the end was totally non existent. That ref set up the tying shot for aggies.

I've noticed that the top seeds that get a gut check win against teams some would say they should beat comfortably usually make a deep run in the tournament. TX A&M had the benefit of seeing Houston already and were somewhat prepared for their style of play. Duke has not had that luxury and I think it will show because no team in the ACC plays with the level of physicality and intensity that Houston does.

That jump ball call before the game-tying 3 shouldn't have been called, Houston clearly had possession and the game should have been over.

To me, MARCH MADNESS is the most exciting Basketball of the year.
Cougars made alot of high percentage shots and very smoove offensive flow.

If this isn't a wakeup call for the cougars, they'll be heading home early. Next week they will face Duke. The one thing they have going for them is they'll be playing in Texas. If the game were being held in North Carolina i'd say Duke wins.

Vs a red hot scrappy A&M team, refs were against them, had no momentum, 4 starters fouled out. 3 of them are your big 3 players. walk ons going in a close game, yet Houston still found a way to hold that. He played great but also had 4 turnovers in the 2nd half. Threw 2 passes oob, and with not much time left in reg he drove to the basket with too much time on shot clock and turned it over. Needs to stay focused and make better decisions for 40 minutes.

Serious question. Does anyone know if UH would have been penalized if they'd fouled the Aggies right as the ball was inbounded with 1.2 seconds, i.e two shots and the ball back? I'm just trying to figure out why Samson didn't foul.
Yes, but think about it like this. What are the chances of making a contested shot with 1.2 seconds and the game on the line? It wouldn't be as high. Versus a 3 free through because he shot from the 3-point line it would've been 3 free throws no?
You have to factor in the chances as well the chances are very low for someone to inbound the ball, shoot a game shot, and make it from the three-point line. I also believe it was a forward who made the shot so their not usually known to shoot 3's for game winners lol.
I think A&M game plan was inbound to anyone open and try to make the shot... The chances was very low though..
