I own a first gen Sequoia, so I was curious and poked around a new one. The styling is nice and the tech is a welcome improvement. But I'll be happily keeping my 21 year old rig and see it roll over 350k miles this summer.
Great review. We couldn't find a new Sequioa here in Utah for under 80k in any trim, so we bought its little brother, the Highlander Platinum. All the same tech features as the capstone, but it kinda drives like a minivan if you ask me. Wife is Happy, so I guess I am too.

Fairly good review. A little weak in the cargo rea review. The axles not affecting the 3rd row seats, the hybrid battery pack is under the third row hence the raised position.
bro....We missed your 4runner, I still remember after watching your 4runner video and I decided to buy my 4runner.
I'm hopeful for the 6th gen!
The solid axle may have been used to make room for the hybrid battery.

This model and trim truly has every color and trim of what I wouldn’t want in this suv. I’m more blacked out trd pro but I can appreciate the wood and some of the interior just not my style what so ever.

Wow the two tone leather interior color is stunning
like the sequoia solid rear axle , Grille , shorter wheel base than a tundra ,but the 3rd row seats takes up to much cargo space when folded down , lot of us have no need ,want or will ever use a 3rd row, I wan t cargo space , payload, and towing
That is the front end they should've put on the Tundra.
the Tundra front end has grown on me but it does seem this would have been a less polarizing option
I thought the battery pack was the reason why the 3rd row couldn't fold down flat
What I've read is that its due to the rear axle. I suppose the battery pack may also be a contributing factor or perhaps its the combined effect

Hybrid complications, bad monitor usability, awrful white interior, fake engine sound, terrible 3rd row, plasticy feel, and small cargo space. Very disappoinring, Toyota. We bought a Tahoe RST hipo instead. Really love it!
Still kills me knowing that you have to pay a subscription to start the suv with the fob key.
