Wow that Akrapovic system rips! Thanks for including video of the stock exhaust, makes it a lot easier to compare before & after changes on the same bike 👍
@sportbiketrackgear Finding it hard to choose between Yoshi and Akro full exhaust systems. Apparently Akro pulls a little more power, but personally, what do you think sounds nicer? Cheers
IMO each of these systems are going to get you very similar performance. Go with the one you like the look of the most and never look back. Comparing the sound of the two you noted I would say they both sound great with the Yosh being a little louder. - Van
Removing the baffle won't hurt the bike at all. If you are concerned about backpressure, a baffle doesn't build enough to have any effect. However, you can scuff up the tip of the slip-on if you are not careful when removing it. But if that happens, it won't hurt the functionality of the slip-on.
Granted this is five years later, but saying that a baffle doesn’t affect back pressure is absolutely stupid. 2wheeldyno has and extensive video testing ninja 400s and baffles, and you 100% must have the baffling if you want better performance. It’s a measurable difference.
If you want an Akrapovic full system for the Ninja 400 you purchase the slip on and the optional header. This will replace the entire exhaust system from the engine back. - Van
The Akrapovic full system for the Ninja 400 is not sold as a complete kit. To get the full system you have to purchase and install the Ninja 400 header and slip on. Below are links to both of the products you need to get the full system: Akrapovic Kawasaki Ninja 400 2018 Carbon Slip-On Exhaust www.sportbiketrackgear.com/akrapovic-kawasaki-ninja-400-2018-carbon-slip-on-exhaust/ Akrapovic Kawasaki Ninja 400 2018 Stainless Steel Optional Header www.sportbiketrackgear.com/akrapovic-kawasaki-ninja-400-2018-stainless-steel-optional-header/
No we have not done so yet. To get the most benefit from the full system you should do flash or install a fuel controller at some point. That said you do not have to take that step if you are happy with the performance of the bike. Some riders prefer to wait a bit so they can save up for the next steps. We have ridden several bikes with full systems over long periods without installing a fuel controller and have not had any issues. - Brian Van
Any full system like this one eliminates the CAT and is not street legal. These are designed for closed course operation on a track. With that said there are many riders that still run full systems on the street. If you live in an area where the bike gets inspected by the state this could be an issue. I would suggest doing a little research to see how your local laws are enforced. - Van

No worries, Video Steve is doing this for all the systems we have installed on the Ninja so far. - Van
It's nice to see a kaw in your shop!
Does it make much of a difference installing the header vs just the slip-on?
Yes, it will make more power. - Van
Please more Ninja 400 Videos! :)
Do you know the price of full system sir?
Are you guys gonna do a review of the full arrow exhaust on the ninja 400?
What Exhaust full system means?? I'm new and still learning from Motorcycle world
It means you are replacing the exhaust form the engine all the way to the tail. - Van
@van what exhaust do you like best for the 400?
Does your foot hit the exhaust can like on the stock exhaust?

@@sportbiketrackgear Cheers for the response! Ended up with Akro full system just for a bit more power and a lot less weight
@@Zaccccccwas the performance noticeably different from stock because I was thinking about just getting the slip on
Does removing the baffle out a slip on cause any damage to the bike?

If it's just the slip on, no. If it's the full system, you would want a retune (regardless of whether or not you remove the db-killer)
