That dress is the perfect interpretation of a BW-themed dress. I just love the ability to move and walk completely free (even run) WITHOUT loosing the elegant silhouette. I mean, the dress looks just perfect in every movement!!!!! To create that specific feature is just mind blowing.
Natasha could totally wear this to an inaugural ball, or the Vienna opera, or the Nobel Prize ceremony, all while being ready to thwart any international terrorists or alien monsters that show up. Get ready to field calls from Hollywood!
@@Steph_here while my answer is a bit corny, I wanted something that would suit Bella's needs as a series that could encompass any character she pleased
It's incredible! I love how the "skirt" pieces evoke spider's legs in such a creative and well integrated way! It's very true to the character's costume aesthetics even standing still, but really shines as a tribute Black Widow's iconic fighting style while in motion. Bravo and looking forward to more!
@@BellaMaesDesigns You might have the chance since Black Widow totally have to return in the fact that the soul stone rule is “a soul for a soul”, Marvel isn’t saying anything about that but it wouldn’t surprise me at all. And then I vote you for Red Carpet Look of the Year!
The “Yeah, but”s are awful. When you get to the store for something small, like a zipper, and see something that makes you go, “Yeah, but this would look so much better!!” I can relate. I’m dating myself, here, but whenever I put the needle down and turn my fabric, I mentally yell, “PIVOT!!” in Ross Geller’s voice. The “combined piece” blows my mind. If I had ever attempted something like that, I’d either wind up catatonic, or tied up in knots. The finished dress is so cool!! Your talent and creativity never fail to knock my socks off. I’m thinking this series of gowns is going to belong at NYFW! Definitely looking forward to the next installment.
Just FYI, any Friends reference really only dates you to be younger than 50 for the most part. Almost every young person (gen z) has seen Friends, so if anything, you saying “I’m dating myself” is actually what is dating you, not the Friends reference. You probably don’t care lol, but I thought it was strange since friends is so popular among teens and young 20s. It hit a resurgence because of Netflix (same thing with The Office)
The way you mixed her tactical style into something more elegant is so cool - the whole thing is so cool! Plus, that combined piece seemed very ambitious, and you executed it beautifully
I appreciate the extra level of the superhero pose while you were laying the patterns on the fabrics.😂 So good. As usual, your unique perspective and hard work created such a gorgeous garment
This design is phenomenal!!! What a great idea to overlay the red piping with the black chiffon fabric - it defines the seams without contrasting too much, and my goodness the result is STUNNING. I’m freaking out about how cool this is omg YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!!!!
10:44 the black widow little signature move 😆 15:42 "it's time to assemble" it works with the avengers too😌 I don't how you can make these complicated patterns work, this is magic ! Love it you look so cool ! 🤩🥰
Wow, it has so much more detail than I could see on the first picture. The area you filmed the reveal at seems like it's just been waiting for you to make a Black Widow dress.
I love the creativity of this new series. For a real stretch, what about Laura Ingalls Wilder, Anne of Green Gables (puffy sleeves!), Pippi Longstockings, or Raggety Ann?
This dress has such a powerful aura. You did an amazing job of combining functionality with the beauty of an evening gown. Looking forward to your next creation!
do a cruella inspired 6 piece fashion collection that would be epic to see i know its a lot but would love to see your version of the 2021 Cruella movie
This is amazing! The way you designed the skirt panels, pant stripes, straps, and bodice all as one continuous piece tickled my 3D brain so satisfyingly! Outstanding work! I especially liked that you double piped some of the seams. I know how annoying piping can be, but that extra tailoring detail really sets apart your craftsmanship. As a busy mom of 6 now, I miss my Sunday afternoons when I used to design, draft, and sew for hours like you. I was teaching one of my daughters how to sew her first "fancy" dress yesterday. It is a delight to see her interested in pursuing one of my creative passions. I showed her your video for encouragement. She, too, was quite impressed. Thank you! I can't wait to see what other designs you have in the future.
'The combined piece' is terrifying, nice voice over and notes for it. Great location finds for the demo, and cartwheel! The outfit turned out great, looking forward to your next one.
@bellamaedesigns… this was SO cool. I enjoyed every minute of it! I especially appreciate the music you underscored with. It’s exciting, has a “Marvel” feel and captures the intensity of the Black Widow character. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. You’re an inspiration❣️
OMG!! SOOOOO ORIGINAL, SO MUCH EFFORT, AND SO BEAUTIFUL! Cannot believe how MARVEL-ous this process and the final product ended up being! I´m in loooove!!
You are amazing! Your creativity and design prowess and sewing skills really brought this costume to life. I am beyond impressed watching you go from pen and paper designs to a fully finished haute couture piece with such movement and style and flexibility. I love ittttt I am obsessedddd and I feel like I just learn so much from watching your videos even though they aren't exactly tutorials haha
Also, love the series idea, and can’t wait to see everywhere it takes you! I for one would be absolutely thrilled to see a red carpet look for Rey from Star Wars. 😁
This was such an informative video! I have to do a project that tackles some crazy piping and seam work and watching your video just added inspiration and confidence to me! I love how detail you go into your videos and the outcome of this project was breathtaking!
I love the action poses at 10:20!! Very Black Widowish. Maybe you could call this series something like "Marvel Gals meet Met Gala". Or not. The word "gals" is kind of old school. Edit: OMG I love the action sequence at the end (and the cute outtakes). You totally nailed this one. I love the design of this outfit, especially all those geometric lines and shapes with the red piping. Great job, Bella Mae!!
That corner trick on the collar with getting the piping smooth when it's turned right side out is genius! And overall, the dress... (pantsuit??) is awesome! I really think MCU should call you for designs.
I am so excited for the next video in this series!! I'm also absolutely in love with your design for Black Widow, all the cut-outs and piping details (and that combined piece 🤯) really add to the final dress while still keeping the feel of the character. You did such a good job!
Wow, girl! You nailed it! I want to see a fight scene in this. All the different panels of skirt whirling around....ahh the drama of it would be amazing!
I love this red carpet series! I don’t really enjoy Cinderella so I don’t usually watch your videos, but this was awesome! I am looking forward to the next installment in your series! PS I would love to see a Dune inspired gown when it comes out in a couple of months
This is the most amaazing video! The editing is so well thought through and slick, and the dress itself seems mind-boggling to design and construct! I am in awe :)
I love the concept and the lines of this! ❤️ Though you had me cringing when you were walking around in the parking lot with the skirt dragging on the ground.
I just love this, not only is it so creative and beautiful but I also love the “poses!” Hilarious 😂 🤣. Can’t wait to see what else you create in this series. I so hope you get to wear this to a “con”. Wonder Woman, Merida from Brave, Moana or Storm
WOW!!!! Seriously stunning and ingeniously creative. You've become an amazing designer and seamstress Bella. I wish Scarlet could see your finished garment. Bravo!!!

So cool! Love this series concept!! Some characters for your consideration in the future: Elle Woods, Shuri, Rose from Titanic, Olivia Benson, The Little Mermaid… Xena.
Bella Mae, I have recently been captivated by the red and black dress from Disney's Alice In Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass. You can never go in a fabric store for "just a zipper" and not go out with some fabric... It is mission impossible ;)
It is also important to remember to actually get the zipper.
