PAUL AND THE SABBATH:
NEW TESTAMENT TRUTH In the first century, neither Jews nor Gentiles believed that Gentiles should keep the Sabbath. If Paul had a different view, we should expect to see some evidence, but there is none.
In the Gentile cities of Lystra, Derbe and Athens, nothing is said about the Sabbath. In some places, Paul preached every day (Acts 17:17; 19:9). When he was in Troas, we do not hear anything about the Sabbath. Rather, the church waited until the first day of the week to come together and break bread (Acts 20:7). The example of Paul, like that of Jesus, is always liberty, and makes no restrictions or commandments about the Sabbath.
Before we see what Paul taught about the Sabbath, let us summarize our observations.
The first place we see a command for the Sabbath is in the law of Moses.
The law of Moses contains many commands that Christians do not have to keep.
Even laws that came before Moses, such as circumcision, can be obsolete.
To see which laws are obsolete, we need to study the New Testament.
The New Testament never commands the Sabbath.
Jesus always criticizes Sabbath rules, and never tells anyone to be careful about what they do on the Sabbath.
Jesus always groups the Sabbath with ceremonial and ritual laws.
Peter and Paul could live like Gentiles if they wanted to.
Paul said that something about the Ten Commandments was fading away.
Should Christians keep the seventh-day Sabbath? Is the command clear enough to require people to lose their jobs and alienate their families? No-the only place that the Sabbath is commanded is in a covenant that the New Testament calls obsolete. True, the New Testament does not explicitly say that the Sabbath is obsolete. Instead, it says much more-that the entire old covenant is obsolete. It says that Christians do not have to keep the law of Moses. It says a large category of law is no longer required, and it never tells Christians to keep the Sabbath. None of the Sabbatarian arguments proves that the Sabbath is still commanded.
If the Sabbath were required, it is surprising that the New Testament never repeats the command. It has space for all sorts of other commands, from holy kisses to avoiding idolatry, but it never commands the Sabbath. It never criticizes anyone for breaking it. Paul dealt with numerous problems of Christian living, but he never tells slaves or others how to keep the Sabbath. He lists numerous sins that can keep a person out of the kingdom of God, but he never mentions the Sabbath. If the Sabbath is important, the silence of the New Testament is astounding.
But the evidence against the Sabbath goes even further than what we have covered. The New Testament not only fails to command the Sabbath-it says that it is wrong to require it.

My large family and I were also once part of the vast company of Sunday church goers, sincere in our beliefs, but until we really studied the Bible, with prayer for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, sincerely in error. As our beloved Pastor Kenneth Cox has said: “When the teachings of men so often mislead us, what says the Bible, the blessed Bible to me?” What other evidence or authority is there for the Christian? This prophesy has confused me for more than 30 years, even though I have done the prophesy studies with the church 8 times, but all these beasts were very confusing. God’s people in OT times were the Israelites. Once the Messiah Jesus Christ came to earth, All people who have accepted, and will accept His sacrifice on the Cross for their sins and acknowledge Him as Savior and Lord are His people. “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, male nor female, bond or free, for we are all one in Jesus Christ our Lord.” Now that we have accepted this incomparable free gift of salvation, we desire to live our lives to please and honor Him. Most people will be lost, not just SDA. Not 1in 20 will be saved. Most will not be faithful

the Bible gives and explains itself re. the Principle of the Testimony of Jesus - I see no indicators in the Bible of a time limitation on the Gift of the Spirit during the course of human history here on the Earth.
I will agree the Bible is the sole Authority for Life ; but God gives the Gift of the Spirit of Prophecy to edify (build up) His Church.
A legitimate Prophet will not contradict Bible writers or the Canon of Scripture.
I still highly recommend to anyone to read the writings I noted by EG White.

So the *Ten Commandments = The Old Covenant*
Exodus 34:27-28 And the LORD said to Moses, “Write these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. *And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments* .
Exodus 34:29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with *the two tablets of the testimony* in his hand...Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.
*So the "Testimony" is also the "Covenant" and the words of the covenant are "The Ten Commandments"*
Hebrews 8:13 "In speaking of a new covenant, *He makes the first one obsolete* .
The principle is: God is the Master, and the Prophet si his Servant.

Ed, your response to this sermon on the False Prophet is in conflict with the Bible truth about the Sabbath. Firstly, the Sabbath is introduced in Genesis. After God created the earth and all that in them is, He blessed and made holy the seventh day of the week. At Sinai it was God Himself who wrote the Ten Commandments with His own finger and entrusted these Laws to Moses to take to the Israelites, and they were to be a perpetual set of commandments for all of God’s people. The Sabbath is also called a sign between God and His people throughout all generations. The prophets Jeremiah and others were always lamenting that Gods people had forgotten His commandments, especially the Sabbath, and exhorting them to return to them. Jeremiah even wept over the unfaithfulness of the people. In Isaiah we are told that “from one Sabbath to another, and from one new moon to another, shall all flesh come to worship before the Lord.” Jesus, as was His custom, went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and so did Paul. The one Sunday that Paul gathered with disciples was to lay aside offerings and have fellowship together- eat together, not to worship. Even in the book of Revelation, which is Jesus’s own revelation to His people, we are told that God’s people “keep the commandments of God.” The Bible is full of references to the commandments of God and the Sabbath. Also, the new covenant is the writing of the Law in the hearts of God’s people, not some completely, unrelated covenant. Dear brother, if the Bible is the Word of God, then we must study it diligently and find our answers from God in it. Pastor Bohr is spot on!🙏🏼
These are trolls most likely of the Jesuit order. Their mission is to prevent the awakening of persons to the obligation to keep Jesus' Ten Commandments - as if any of the ten is onerous. I've encountered this very troll, posted numerous scriptures to no avail, and it became clear to me this troll and a couple of his buddies really do not care about the truth of the bible, that they have a mission to undermine and are bent on carrying out their assignment with lengthy retorts that do not stand the test of the Bible. When truth-nailing sermons such as Pastor Bohr's are aired, these trolls come out with as much of the vehemence of the king of the north of Daniel 10:44 as they can muster under the restraint of this side of probation.

We should only Keep the 2 Great Laws defined by Jesus. The old 10 laws of Moses were already given to the Secular Governments to Impose, in essence the(10 laws) are not gone for good. We are even required to obey Traffic Laws and Tax laws(as in 10% Tithes and offerings) mandatory...Jesus said God is Spirit, worship him in spirit and in Truth, and these can only be done through the Prayer that Jesus taught Humanity written in Mathew.
The laws of Moses were 683. They are called Mosaic Laws. You are mistaking the laws of God, called the 10 Commandments, written twice with the fingers of God.
Moses led a Theocracy. That is, he was a man of God, who was leading a government of wayward people; therefore, laws covering behaviours (as we have today in every country which is not an anarchy) had to be written. Cover your faeces, was one of such laws. This was to avoid diseases breaking out in the camps as they travel through the wilderness.
Tawidwid what Jesus said in Mat. 22:36-40 covers all of the ten commandments. If we love God we will keep the first four of the commandments and that includes the seventh day sabbath and if we love our neighbors we will be keeping the last six of the commandments and that is why Jesus said that all of the commandments hangs on these two commandments because these two commandments cover all ten of the commandments. So if we love God and love our neighbors we will be keeping the ten commandments including the seventh day sabbath the real LORD"S DAY.
You're right the two great laws we should keep in Matthew 22: 36-40 those two great laws are the Ten Commandments. Verse 37 are the first four commandments- love for God. Verse 39 are love for our neighbor.
Verse 40 says, On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets which is another name for the Ten Commandments. The Bible says in James, that we will be judged by the 10 Commandments.
The Bible says those that practice lawlessness will be lost, unfortunately, many Pastors are teaching that people don't have to keep the Commandments today, those that listen to that falsehoods will be lost.
Revelation 22: 14 Blessed are they that DO His Commandments, that they might have right to the Tree Of Life, and may enter in through the gates, into the city.
Verse 15 gives a partial list of those who won't be there.

NEW TESTAMENT TRUTH In the first century, neither Jews nor Gentiles believed that Gentiles should keep the Sabbath. If Paul had a different view, we should expect to see some evidence, but there is none.

Timoth I am not the Pastor but I believe I can answer that question for you. God's people is every one, we are all God's people and God takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked because He loves all of them but He cannot let sin enter into the kingdom of Heaven so He has to destroy all of the wicked. The wicked made their own choice, they rejected Jesus Christ as their Savior.

The oil is the Holy Spirit. You cannot separate the Old Testament from the New Testament. The Old Testament points forward to the coming of Christ. The New Testament points backwards to Jesus incarnation as a man. There would be no New Testament without the New Testament and that is why all the New Testament Scriptures points back to the old testament, including the book of Revelation. The 7 Churches, which covers the period from Christ's crucifixion until His return (first century to the end of the world), were filled with Gentiles, because after the stoning of Steven, the gospel went to the gentiles, as the Jews nation had rejected Jesus.
