To boxing aficionados out there, do you buy this MMA argument that the boxer punches harder than an MMA fighter because the boxer’s gloves are bigger and the MMA fighter’s gloves are smaller? They claim that because boxing gloves are bigger, and have more cushion, so boxers can punch harder and not hurt their hands.
And people don't say it enough, a boxer with small or no gloves on is often lethal with hands, you shouldn't let him catch you or it might be over in an instant. Boxers are no joke.
I was 12 yrs old and my Mexican buddies in San Antonio convinced me to put on the gloves. Boy was that stupid. Kid who I thought was my friend proceeded to punch me in the face and literally gave me a concussion. A few years later I signed up with PAL and boxed for 4 yrs. I decided that crap would never happen to me again. My Dad was the motivator.

El boxeador es mejor, es como un experto en Jiu Jitsu, o karate, etc, en la calle va a ganar el que domine su especialidad, y valgan verdades, un peleador de MMA no tiene especialidad, solo sabe de todo un poco, no tiene perfección, excepto que el peleador de MMA halla tenido en su vida pasada un historial como peleador de Muay Thay o boxeo o karate, etc, y de ahí lo complementó con MMA, así como muchos peleadores hacen, pero si solo es un tipo que se metió a una escuela de MMA, va a tener desventaja en la calle con un verdadero peleador de defensa personal o un boxeador

Not true, I used to street fight every Friday, I had mma experience and I would beat other boxers who had amateur careers, and boxers fight sideways which was easy for my ju Jitsu and leg kicks. I only once and that was against a full wrestler who went straight for leg lock

It’s better to specialise in fighting in my opinion. It’s more realistic. The less you have to think of the better. Trust me you won’t grab a boxer easily in a street fight. The jab alone is a killer.
It’s better to be versatile so when one ability gets taken away you still have other weapons… You can’t box your way out of a submission hold or use boxing skills after someone just wrestled you to the ground. And you can’t wrestle someone to the ground if you are u able to grab them. Owning 2 or 3 cars is better than owning 1 car (if you can afford all that). If you only have one car, you’re a sitting duck if it gets stolen or totaled. Having 2 or more guns is better than owning just 1 gun. In most cases, having more than just 1 of something is always better. More money is better than less money
Also there are fighters out there who have black belts in 3 or more martial arts. That means they’re specialized and have mastered more than one art. A guy who has only mastered one would be much easier to fight.
Analogies like having more cars or more guns does not apply to fighting. A street fight is very quick and messy. Best to stick to basics. It depends on the individual fighter. It always will be. When you go to grapple a boxer, you still have to come into their punching space. So it makes no difference.
you need to be versitile so that you would be able to fight in any position or situation, have more weapons, kicks, punches, elbows and knees, clinch, wrestling and jiu jitsu, when a boxer starts getting kicked for example, he will be in trouble.

Les dire el secreto, mi padre q ya murio tenia una pegada tan dura que decian que tenia tubos en lugar de manos ,se peleo muchas veces lo machetearon en la cabeza pero alcanzo a quitarse , le tumbaron dos dientes de un golpe con una botella , se peleo con otro a machetazos y le gano , con otro con una navaja y le arranco un pedazo de mano con una mordida cuenta que ese ranchero de la navaja era muy fuerte , pero el no se quedaba atras sus manos parecian rocas al saludarlo , sus huesos eran densos lo se porque pesaba a sus 45 años casi 120kg y no de grasa pero por el cancer bajo de peso casi a los huesos sus huesos eran enormes y sus manos pesadas, de niño a los 7 años ya trabajaba en la pizca , su madre lo maltrato mucho lo desmayaban a los golpes luego a los 12 cortando tablas y barrotes de sol a sol pero no con sierras eléctricas sino con serrucho a mano diariamente ,un dia a sus 25 años llego a cortar 100 puntas de barrotes 4x4, cargaba dos bultos de cemento 50k por vuelta durante faenas de horas en el sol ,una ocasion vacio con cemento el segundo piso de su casa trabajando duro de 7 am a 2 am, aqui en donde vivo hace calor 38-45 centigrados todo esto por casi algunos 10 años cuando se caso con mi mama tuvo una pelea con 10 policias y los noqueo a casi todos , lo invitaron a ser policia, una vez peleo vs uno mas grande que el casi 1,98 y unos 180kg y lo noqueo del primer puñetazo penso que lo habia matado porque no se despertaba, otra peleo contra 5 vecinos albañiles y las esposas verduleras con piedras y palos vs el solo yo tenia 8 años y noqueo a 3 y a uno lo mando al hospital le fracturo la quijada, peleo vs un boxeador profesional y dice q ha sido el unico en levantarse del nockaut , pero q lo noqueo 3 veces ,ese no lo vi no habia nacido ,una vez lo vi levantar un carro que se cayo arriba de un mecánico era un ltd marquis de la salpicadera fueron solo unos cms para que el señor saliera ,pero cuanto pesara, tambien lo vi que levantaba los motores vw de los escarabajos para meterlos sin gato decia que era mas facil en peso muerto , suena facil pero hay que sostener 113 kg empujar con fuerza tratar unas 5 o seis veces durante unos 15 segundos ,amis cuarentaitantos no conozco a alguien tan aguerrido el decia que ya se trae por dentro ,tan fuerte ni tan tierno con sus hijos como mi padre murio a los 61 años , gracias por leer

El boxeador es mejor, es como un experto en Jiu Jitsu, o karate, etc, en la calle va a ganar el que domine su especialidad, y valgan verdades, un peleador de MMA no tiene especialidad, solo sabe de todo un poco, no tiene perfección, excepto que el peleador de MMA halla tenido en su vida pasada un historial como peleador de Muay Thay o boxeo o karate, etc, y de ahí lo complementó con MMA, así como muchos peleadores hacen, pero si solo es un tipo que se metió a una escuela de MMA, va a tener desventaja en la calle con un verdadero peleador de defensa personal o un boxeador

Not true, I used to street fight every Friday, I had mma experience and I would beat other boxers who had amateur careers, and boxers fight sideways which was easy for my ju Jitsu and leg kicks. I only once and that was against a full wrestler who went straight for leg lock

It’s better to specialise in fighting in my opinion. It’s more realistic. The less you have to think of the better. Trust me you won’t grab a boxer easily in a street fight. The jab alone is a killer.

It’s better to be versatile so when one ability gets taken away you still have other weapons… You can’t box your way out of a submission hold or use boxing skills after someone just wrestled you to the ground. And you can’t wrestle someone to the ground if you are u able to grab them.
Owning 2 or 3 cars is better than owning 1 car (if you can afford all that). If you only have one car, you’re a sitting duck if it gets stolen or totaled.
Having 2 or more guns is better than owning just 1 gun.
In most cases, having more than just 1 of something is always better.
More money is better than less money
Also there are fighters out there who have black belts in 3 or more martial arts. That means they’re specialized and have mastered more than one art. A guy who has only mastered one would be much easier to fight.
Analogies like having more cars or more guns does not apply to fighting. A street fight is very quick and messy. Best to stick to basics. It depends on the individual fighter. It always will be. When you go to grapple a boxer, you still have to come into their punching space. So it makes no difference.
you need to be versitile so that you would be able to fight in any position or situation, have more weapons, kicks, punches, elbows and knees, clinch, wrestling and jiu jitsu, when a boxer starts getting kicked for example, he will be in trouble.
