This is sincerely the best review I've seen of this car!
Perfect car for those just graduated out of University with stable income, own apartment, in a relationship & occasional need to ferry family.
As a car for young 2 people families, it offers quite a bit of value, style & exclusivity (vs. those who'll just use the same $ to buy a loaded everyman Accord)

This car is absolutely gorgeous. A true work of art
it's a great car and I've enjoyed driving it. The back seat isn't for 6-1 plus but I didn't buy it to transport 4 people. I'm getting 31 MPG in mixed drive which is awesome. It has a lot of power and the handling is superb. The interior is nice and well done. Nicer than the out going C-class and Audi. A solid driving car. I would recommend it and I would buy again.
to Kobe B: My son went off to college and the only way I could see him on the weekends was to install a helicopter pad near the reflecting pool. It was so costly renting a copter I just bought one.

They gave me free car wash for life at the dealership I bought it from. This is my first car, saved up from my first anniversary working at my job as an RN.
But free car wash for life hahaha $43k was the total including the 7 year warranty.
Well Lexus also gives complimentary car washes.... for every single car they sell...

FYI, only the blue efficiency models in Europe get the .23 cD. The ones sold in the US have .28 drag which is about average with the segment

we just got ours (cla 250 4matic)...so far, we are loving it!!!
minor complaints:
-glove compartment is too small. the navi module slot is getting in the way. even the car manuals won't fit.
-no sunglasses holder (really? but ashtray is standard?)
CLA is good to look at (inside and out). 2 series is fun to drive. I wonder about A3. Is it both?
Audi doesn't have the best exterior design or the best driving dynamics, after all it is just a fancy Volkswagen
I don't care about the exterior. I am inside the car. The most important thing about a car to me is the performance and then interior. Most reviewers don't believe CLA can deliver on the performance.

good review. Micah sounds like a disney character, a mid-western one, very animated and lively. I mean that in a pleasant way. I was watching reviews after reviews of this car and BMW x1 both my choices when I get a new car hopefully soon, I dont know much about cars but it seems they both suck from what I hear on the reviews but I like both of them, now I have to figure out which sucks less. any suggestions?

The issues I have with the CLA is the lack of rear visibility and lack of a spare tire.
Also KBB should know that the CLA AMG is not a full-time AWD system. Meaning, when you are driving down the road 100% of the power comes from the front wheels. The only time the AWD system comes into play is when you are in bad weather or when you are going around the cirner fast.

I really like the review, and that the facts were spoken about not personal likes and dislikes . I drive a 2011 Mercedes c 300 and love my car after seeing this review when I'm done with the c 300 I maybe, will get the CLA it really is a good looking car , also it's a Mercedes

In Singapore, this car is everywhere. And it costs SGD 160k for the base CLA180. For the CLA250 with AMG line (like the one in the video), it costs a whopping SGD 190k. Paying for the looks and brand image over practicality, but it's well worth. A friend of mine was choosing this or and Audi A3 sedan, but I recommended this to him instead.
Mercedes is gr8 but really expensive in Singapore. I'm Singaporean too.

Honestly, for an entry-level Mercedes it sure looks a lot better than the Maybach S550. I'm only talking about exterior looks.

Test drove one yesterday ! There's no room for the driver.....if you're over 6 feet tall. The front console will also crowd your right leg,and it will cramp up in no time. Great little car,for little people.

Just found this car for what I paid for a used fiesta st.... Oh boy, this would have been a better buy for sure.

The problem with the s class, sl, cl, etc. is the high maintenance costs. They can run forever, but the brakes, suspension, electrical stuff, sensors cost a lot to replace. They are fantastic values if you are a mechanic or have a friend who knows how to do most of the stuff but if you have to rely on a shop for the work it is not worth it in the end. Many of my friends used to own '90s and early '00s chassis and they got fed up with all the repairs. Some bought new Japanese cars and others bought 3 yr old e classes and MLs. I would love a late '90s sl500 or 600 cabrio but the money can be better used elsewhere.
From what I've gathered, the CLA is a millennial-targeted vehicle. It's sleek, well-researched and completely on-track to who their target audience is and has succeeded in captivating younger buyers into getting a Mercedes. I honestly can't say I'm as impressed with the conservative designs of an A3 or commonplace appearance of the 3-series.
Except this car has nothing special... both of its competitors are actually worth their prices. You can get a Civic or Corolla with more than this...
Andrew Yang In terms of its competitors, the CLA has a distinctive look. I mean, you can hardly say a BMW 3-series or Audi A3 would turn as many heads. Also, image-conscious Millennials will want the badge, even if they get less.
45 grand for an entry level model with a few extras is insane. who has that kind of money and is willing to pay it for this?
It’s 160,000 usd in Singapore for the same model lol and you only get to use the car for 10 years and then you gotta pay another 80,000 to keep it going another 10

My gf has one.. Cla 200 diesel with some extras. It cost fucking 72k €!! It's a good car. But doesn't feel one little bit special inside.
Fully loaded its almost 50k but a new corvette is base priced at 51k....decisions

As a 20 year old I would choose the cla over the c class any day. Sure the c class has more luxury and features inside but the car itself just doesn't look as sporty/stylish. I would recommend the c class to a senior citizen.

I wouldn't equate value with the CLA.. I wasn't impressed with the interior and it still carries the design from last generation Benz unlike the C class. Most of the buyers of this car are buying the logo and design, all the other stuff is non important.

Consumer Reports says its an expensive Civic lol. If you're cheap and poor buy this for the three pointed star, that's its sole purpose unless you get the 45amg.
And this is exactly my issue with premium brands building front-drive cars: they're marketed to people who don't know or care - what are they saying about their brands??

good point, it is not a full size.. but the new "$30" Benz (Clk 250) has less space and features in it than the comparable 30k Accord. On my budget, the honda wins. That is the Benz i was using as the basis of this comment. That car with a paltry turbo 4 makes the same power as the v6 Accord and costs more but comes with less standard features. Would I own a Benz, yes they are fine automobiles. But again...not in the budget. Now get off the internet and go make that money to support the 3 Mercedes you own LOL!

Yes I'm aware but still, things just weren't consistent with his reviews at all, like him saying the CLA's throttle response is impressive yet hating the throttle response in the 400hp twin turbo Ghibli. Definitely seemed bias from the start, in the Ghibli review he starts the review with giving the car a big dirty look / nasty glare as if the car was doomed before he ever started it up Go watch it hahah
Yes dude its all relative. He says the civic has good throttle response and great suspension. When he makes comments he means RELATIVE to its competition its good. Otherwise he would just shit talk the civics and corollas and always just compliment the super cars, get it??

Rwd is dagerous if you live in places that snow as it tends to slide more than fwd due to where the power is placed. Fwd is more convenient.
