I don’t care how many features it has, that price is beyond a joke. I’m a huge fan of n gauge, and have a considerable collection and layout. But the price has pushed me into 00 gauge purely due to more bang for your buck and more second hand availability.

Almost 300 quid for n gauge class 769?!? That’s more expensive than bachmann s oo gauge range.

Can be reversed tho, N gauge pendolino cost me £300 for 9 car set... probably looking at 5/600 for a OO one

Although I do HO Scale American trains. I wouldn't mind a model of one of these units as I have fond memories of them on the Thameslink services in London.

I was thinking of adding this to my shortlist of DMU but soon noticed that one of the cars looks like it's missing a pantograph so the overall look sorta threw me a bit. So instead, the Graham Farish 371-335 class 150 2 car DMU did make my shortlist 🙂

I just hope that Bachmann will point the grow-ray on them up to OO scale! More so the Northern Units 😆

Unlikely I'll ever be able to afford it, but I'd love one nonetheless. Time for a lottery ticket, perhaps!😉

I really hope this is the start of more historic EMU’s being made! Definitely a gap in the market.

Bachmann products are way overpriced sadly!

@@Cookie2k This is a brand new tooled model, so the investment that will have gone into this, will many £100,000s of pounds. People also forget that the numbers of models that manufacturers sell compared to other industries is relatively small. I also think you'll find Hornby are also charging a lot of locos and don't forget, you're getting a complete train for your money, not just a locomotive.

@@andrewcalladine2507 accurascale manage to do higher detail and lower prices than Bachmann - if accurascale made any Bachmann locos they’d be cost less and be better, for example their new 37… Bachmann really is a rip off
