Be very careful when welding the main drawbar. Reason being is when you weld you are changing the strength of the metal surrounding the actual weld location and can be introducing weak points. Best way would be to clamp the post to the drawbar.
I just wanna say I have a Sea Ray trailer with that exact coupler/brake actuator and I HATE THAT THING WITH A PASSION!!! Those things are next to impossible to bleed. THEY SUCK. Just wanted to throw my quiet opinion in there if anyone is contemplating buying that actuator from DEXTER or Trailer Parts/etc. THEY SUCK.
