    I've recently bought and installed a set of the trick steps on my boat. Best new addition to my boat and trailer. Soon be 65, had both knees cut and repaired. Absolutely love them.

    Thank you for this great video. I am 67 yrs old and have found my strength and balance have deteriorated somewhat and especially recovering from stroke 2 years ago. These steps and the boat latch to trailer would be great safety additions for me.

    I have enjoyed the video. I am wanting to get me some kind of step system. I’ll be 57 this year, and you are 100% correct, we are not 25 anymore. When I was young, I didn’t think anything about a step system, just hope in and jump out. I fractured 3 bones in my left ankle and dislocated my left foot, back in 2020, still recovering from that. Just recently started walking again on it like three months ago. So I totally get it! 👍👍

    At our age we need it to be easy, simple and safe. the younger ones don't know that yet. I am also looking at getting a step

    I'm glad you made this video. I'm up in age as well and was thinking along the same lines as you. I was going to make a latter, but this seems much easier to install. Thanks.

    I bought these steps about 2-3 years ago ! They are the older version! Best thing I ever did ! I'm 60 and knees are bad ! But I love the handle for in and out ! Little expensive but man its 100% worth it ! Great quality also ! I did ad the step grip sand paper also !

    Outstanding video sir. No need to explain why it’s needed as it should be obvious to most. I’m 54 and mount/dismount solo launching my Tracker Pro Guide v16 deep v-haul and that’s a serious step down even for me. I was a soccer player & a cyclist with above average agility. Now, I’m researching this step down too. Wonderful vid!

    I installed East Step 7 years ago on my bass boat due to bad back and after spine surgeries. I love these steps and you will likely wander why you waited so long. They help so much. Enjoy your new steps.

      Forgot to add that I put two nuts on each end of the U bolt that holds the main steps. I used red lock tight for the end nut. So it cannot be removed while I am out fishing but the other nut can still be tighten once the U bolt stretches a bit.

    We have the same set up, love the steps and I dismount like you do while thinking this will be bad if I miss a step. The drotto was a big help but our ramps drop off quick and when I load back up it's like climbing a hill to get the latch to lock tried different depths for trailer but it seems worse if to deep still much better results than not having it. Enjoyed the video and I watched before I purchased my easy steps.

    Makes perfect sense to me. I’m 66 years old and agree things get harder to do with age.

    GREAT VIDEO!! At 7:00, the packet you have is anti seize lubricant. Since the hardware is Stainless Steel, it could gall up. The anti seize packet is to prevent that!

      Thanks for the info and for watching. I've never had a manufacturer comment on a video of their product. Hope it will be helpful for a future customer deciding which step on the market to purchase. Also, since you liked the video, how about having some people subcribe to the channel. Thanks again.

    If you put a ramp n clamp on your trailer you never have to go over front of boat 😎

      How does a ramp n clamp make it easier/safer to get on and off the boat?

    • @bigt4636
      @bigt4636 Год назад

      @@stevenmabry9834 you never have to use the wench, which means never stepping onto a wet boat ramp or having strap break and lots of other stupid things we do to get boat secure. Just drive on trailer and you will hear and feel the clamp grab the boat. If I’m by myself I always back trailer close to pier where I step from boat to pier and out I go.

    Nice, but not for me. I welded my own custom steps for 2 boat trailers. My problem is the 1st and last step. On mine, you step on 1st Step on driver side and the step is the base plate mounted under the bottom side of trailer. Giving you a easy 1st step up. I also added a additional top step make a level easy step at boat deck height. Mine angle just a bit to avoid trolling motor tripping. They where fun to build and only cost me $50 in metal for 2 complete sets made of 1/4 in steal. Other materials, paint, bed liner paint and self adhesive step tape=$30
