Yikes, that's not good. Makes you wonder what info they have in their database and what all was stolen. Let's hope they don't start shutting our cars down.
Just found out my dealer uses a different system. This hack is affecting some Toyota dealers in Charleston SC as well as other GM dealers in south Florida. Some have resorted to making best guesses on parts prices, if they have them in stock. Hope everything works out for you soon. Maybe with an oil change it will be straight forward. Good luck my friend.
When you use old computer systems or do not update the software they get prone to attacks. Someone will make a virus and then instead of click button picture people try to click the X in the box which is also a virus. You have to not click anything when you see it and click top right regular X to get out of the screen. If it has locked the system then have to turn off and restart in safe mode and clear out the cache and check registry for reload instructions for the virus to try and replant itself.
Jeff. I went to my chevy dealership on 21 june. Turned in an accessory and their computer was down.

Nice! I’ve got 4300 on the Z06.
Wow! I’m at 38% and am going to have my free service when it’s time. Hope they fix it soon. Thx!
Hey Jeff, at my dealer now for service here in Charlotte. They haven’t mentioned the systems being hacked. At least not yet 😮
Hopefully your dealer uses a different system I know I was shocked 😂

Yeah I checked online and it looks like this is affecting thousands of dealers from what I read. The system hacked was CDK Global.
