*Transforming My Garden Pots and the Joy of Cooking Dolma*
In my quest to beautify my home and garden, I've faced some challenges with my plant pots. Unfortunately, after a few months, they start to look worn out; the paint peels off, the cement crumbles, and their overall appearance becomes unappealing. Initially, I had planned to cover them with tiles, but I realized that tiles wouldn’t match the theme of my lawn and would make it look overloaded.
To address this, I devised a new plan. I decided to remove the soil from the inner wall of the pots and add a layer of plastic sheeting to protect them from moisture. My goal is to repaint them afterward, and I’m hopeful that this approach will prove successful. It’s a project I’m passionate about, and I believe it will enhance the aesthetics of my garden.
Today, as I was working on my pots, my pet bird, Dani, wanted to bathe. I took him outside, where he happily splashed around in the water under the warm sun. After his bath, he dried off on the heated ground, enjoying the sunshine. Watching him play brought a smile to my face and reminded me of the simple joys in life.
Alongside my gardening tasks, I’m also preparing to cook Dolma, Iraq's national dish. I find it to be a particularly interesting dish that combines the flavors of various ingredients. Dolma involves hollowing out vegetables and stuffing them with a flavorful mixture of minced meat, rice, and spices. I’m excited to make it today, and Dani will be perched on my shoulder as I cook, keeping me company in the kitchen.
