Then again Naga is part dog and dogs are amazingly loyal to their owners, even if she *is* as smart as Appa or Momo I bet her first thought was "fuck everything else, my girl needs me, I'm on my way Korra!"
well, Naga didn't know the new team avatar that much, so it wouldn't make that much sense. Appa met Katara and Sokka the first episode and they became a family
+Mordirit Uh I think Appa would go directly to help Aang. I don't recall him ever in a situation where he did what you assumed. The spirit animal partners are all very smart and connected with their respective avatars.

Katara actually says that "Sokka and many of my friends are gone", she doesn't talk about Zuko or Toph particularly. She could mean like Suki and Mai for all we know. We only know for sure that Aang and Sokka is dead.
Jesica Techera No true! But I mean Mai was with Zuko and Ty Lee with the Kyoshi warriors for a while so I just assume they became friends... and ofc Suki and Katara were friends
Sokka probably stayed in a relationship with Suki after the events of ATLA at least for a little while so it's not so far fetched that Suki became friends with Katara. I do see how Mai probably wasn't as close.
Well didn't Zuko and Mai have a rocky relationship in the comics? Might be remembering it wrong, if that really is the case then I could see why the gaang wouldn't become good friends with Mai (if she and Zuko were constantly fighting she wouldn't be much present on his travels to visit them). I think Ty Lee is more given, the gaang had close relationships to the Kyoshi warriors, even more so if Sokka ended up marrying their leader.
FYI LoK was originally going to be one season, and I think that line reflects that as Zuko and Toph being alive isn't implied or mentioned until after the first season. There's 70 years for them to become friends. If Mai stayed with Zuko and Zuko is close friends with Katara then it's likely they become friends at some point.
IMHO bloodbending was made even more creepy and disturbing since ATLA. I never knew it was possible to make it more so. I was literally horrified when just looking at Korra's face and when Yakone started twisting Aang's limbs at every angle! Korra had some pretty smart and quick thinking there to not get electrocuted! Eat that Lieutenant!! No payback for ya >:p Lin is badass as usual! Asami sure is jealous and hurt, but she's pretty mature about it not letting it get in the way of what's more important at hand, which is finding Korra. "I am the solution" Fuckin' badass!! Naga is such a sweetheart! Korra told her to stay and wait for her to come back when going to confront Tarrlok, but Naga must've sensed something was wrong and went looking for her and even tracked her all the way to the middle of nowhere in the snowy mountains! That is some great sense of smell and loyalty!! Lol your reaction at the end with Mako was my exact reaction as well xD
26:20 remember the end of the scene when Korra and Lee Beifong first met? They gave each other that "looks", to let each other know that they keep eye on each other menacingly. That's it. That's the pose with the look that Korra is doing
Well, about the wife thing, Keep in mind Tenzin's Kids can marry whoever they want, it doesn't have to be another airbender to produce an airbending kid, as long as one side of the familly has that gene, then there's a chance the kid'll be an airbender.

Did anyone notice Yakone's voice actor is Lex Luthor from Justice League? The two characters even have similar lines, such as being able to beat the justice system easily.
I swear to god that scene where tarlock faced Amon is so amazingly written. All of your theory’s Of oh tarlock being Amon are scratched out and then Amon resists his blood bending. It’s just so good

first any reason can be flawed, second Ms. Dreadedfate has a point there's nothing wrong with hating on the show or liking it. What is wrong is judging it based on it not being like Avatar which don't get me wrong I love this show and grew up on it but to be honest I like Korra more because it speaks and is more relatable to me but hey that's my two cents
Latrae Osborne my problem is everyone i saw who hates the show brings up the same tired points such as the avatar line ending because of korra. I'm just a bit sick of people treating aangs story like it was flawless. yes i like the show and its damn good but it's not perfect
From spoilers I read and researched the line didn't end with Korra but started over/reset with her which to be honest could have happened to any avatar before or after Korra
Funny how we in one episode meet the two most powerfull non-avatar benders in the entire universe and then they both get their bending taken away immediatly
6:42 I still get massive chills whenever I see Council Page expose Tarrlok as a bloodbender! Also when Tenzin tried to convince Tarrlok to give up, you kept urging them to attack saying don't let him do it, meaning don't let him bloodbend them. They had no way of knowing Tarrlok could bloodbend without a full moon unless they were following the moon's patterns for the month to know last night wasn't a full moon. Who's to say the calendar system in Avatar has a household version that shows you what phase the Moon is in?
I am really enjoying your breakdown of the episodes! and the thing about the Legend of Kora series is that each season is either as good as the first or better. and it goes to some amazing places. cant wait for you guys to see season 2!
It's been years since I first saw Korra, and I've rewatched it a number of times, but watching Blindwave see the Amon and Tarrlok confrontation for the first time, somehow it got my heart pounding like it was *my* first time too.
You guys are awesome! When I heard the part about how airbenders will multiply, I was like "can't wait to see their reaction for what's coming up for this topic"!
I noticed that at the end, mako carrying the weekend Korra onto the flying bison, and pretty much all she does is smile up at him, is so similar to how Katara carried Aang out of the crystal catacombs and when she brought him back all he did was smile.
Spoilers In my opinion Amon was probably the strongest character in the series, after the Avatar obviously, he could literally bend anyone to his will without movement, great at fighting and more importantly he can take peoples bending away, also he can waterbend. Amon was my favourite character.
This is my most favorite episode of this season not only because of the Aang memory(really loved it tho)but also because what was happening at present. This episode really is a blast 'out of the past'.
I've been waiting for you guys to see this episode since season 3 of the Last Airbender. When you reacted to that and were talking about how you wanted to see them as adults, it was killing me to hold it in lol.
The flashback in this episode is on my top 3 moments for this season of Korra. One of my other top 3 moments is coming up very soon, and I absolutely cannot wait. I don't really have much to say here without sounding repetitive. Your Korra reactions are so much fun. Definitely agree with Eric about Amon being an incredibly compelling villain. And with Clavin about that Mako and Korra moment at the end being.... awkward. Your theories are also so interesting listening to, whether they're right or wrong, because you all put a lot of thought into it, and sometimes even when it's wrong it genuinely feels like "Huh, that's a direction the show could have gone in". Glad you guys got some badass Aang, you'd been looking forward to that. :) Can't wait for upcoming weeks, we're closing in.

Eric and Aaron just look at each other w/ Eric mouthing "...something else..."
Perfect!
Calvin is gonna be pumped when the General of the United Forces shows up
Can we just appreciate for a sec how loyal the avatars animal guides are
Yakone is probably the most powerful non-avatar character in the both shows.
@@pelonp3691yakone didn’t have his bending Aang took it
Eric nerding out over the Aang flashback haha. I know i did when i first saw it. Damn they will love future books :)
DETECTIVE CALVIIIIIN STRIKES AGAIN. I love the reactions to this episode so much.
Did anyone notice Yakone's voice actor is Lex Luthor from Justice League? The two characters even have similar lines, such as being able to beat the justice system easily.
4:14 The same way Aang & Co. followed Toph's lead once she learned metalbending lol
9:01 Whispers "Something else"
I love the stare Eric and Aaron gave each other lol
am i the only one who waiting this every week? their reaction give me some nostalgic. can't wait for book 4
I swear to god that scene where tarlock faced Amon is so amazingly written. All of your theory’s Of oh tarlock being Amon are scratched out and then Amon resists his blood bending. It’s just so good
I know it's a long way off but I can't wait to see their reaction to "Beginnings".
Lol you hear Tarrlok say "But in order to win republic city, I had to become someone else." 8:50 - Arron and Eric look at eachother and Eric says "Something else" did anyone else feel those Arrow vibes? That's Tarrloks intro to his new spinoff lol
I'm glad you guys still like it so far. a lot of people hate this show and their reasoning is always flawed
Chris Koloski No it really isn't. I'd say people defending the show have flawed arguments.
first any reason can be flawed, second Ms.
Chris Koloski ATLA is widely regarded as one of the greatest animated shows ever made. LOK isn't. And it is nearly perfect.
Yes this was the one episode of season 1 I wanted to see your guys' reactions to.
"He doesn't sit on his balls anymore. He stands."
Oh you guys :)
"we haven't seen how toph died" hahahaha😂😂😂😂 if only you knew😂😂
katara already said that sokka is dead
They know, he meant the show never said HOW Sokka died. Eric was hoping they weren't about to see him die a brutal bloodbending death.
ok yeah that makes sense
Jude Miller Well, in a previous episode (can't remember which) one of them wondered where Sokka was, even though Katara had already confirmed he died.
Jude Miller He likely died of old age.
Bloodbending death would be the most terrifying thing I would think in a world like that
I guess a stronger bender could just bloodbend themselves and have more control than the other person bloodbending them.
after watching the next EP i can't wait for the guys reaction to the last scene i was so shocked and happy at the same time
At 4:03 the equalist on the right, I am pretty sure he is voiced by the same voice actor for Sokka in Avatar the Last Airbender. They sound so similar
lts Gzmo
Those two Equalised are actually voiced by the creators, Mike and Bryan.
It’s so funny that you guys sometimes switch the names of Korra and Katara 😂
I think that in the avatar finale, the energy beams were more symbolic and used to help visualize how Aang was manipulating the energy
I am really enjoying your breakdown of the episodes! and the thing about the Legend of Kora series is that each season is either as good as the first or better. and it goes to some amazing places. cant wait for you guys to see season 2!
I cheered at 9:01 when Eric mouthed "Something else"
Yeah boiiiiiiiii. Half an hour of pure fun and me smiling the whole time.
It's been years since I first saw Korra, and I've rewatched it a number of times, but watching Blindwave see the Amon and Tarrlok confrontation for the first time, somehow it got my heart pounding like it was *my* first time too.
You know what's cool ? Aaron has the exact same beard as Aang, that's freakin awesome!
7:38 Notice that Sokka was the last one to pass out, because he had been bloodbent before, and that wasn’t even as powerful as Yakone’s bloodbending
I just finished this video and now I'm gonna rewatch it. Yeah that's how much I'm loving this reactions and discussions, no shame in my game.
You guys are awesome!
When I heard the part about how airbenders will multiply, I was like "can't wait to see their reaction for what's coming up for this topic"!
"My brother and most of my friends are gone." -Katara 😾😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I noticed that at the end, mako carrying the weekend Korra onto the flying bison, and pretty much all she does is smile up at him, is so similar to how Katara carried Aang out of the crystal catacombs and when she brought him back all he did was smile.
Spoilers
In my opinion Amon was probably the strongest character in the series, after the Avatar obviously, he could literally bend anyone to his will without movement, great at fighting and more importantly he can take peoples bending away, also he can waterbend. Amon was my favourite character.
Pablo TV 33 Amon is easily the strongest. having complete control over anyone anytime is crazy op
Mugetsu This is my favourite season, if it wasn't for the red lotus being so underdeveloped season 3 would of been my favourite.
one of the biggest problems with LOK tha the a few of the books where too godamn short, wish that they were longer
I'm not sure wether he is stronger than Yakone, but he is up there. (Except we also let the dark avatar count)
Thank you so much for another great reaction. :)
This is my most favorite episode of this season not only because of the Aang memory(really loved it tho)but also because what was happening at present. This episode really is a blast 'out of the past'.
been waiting for these flashbacks!!!
Eric's face went so red when Aang went in the avatar state! haha
They seem to have forgotten that in the first episode Katara said that Saka is gone. Someone should remind them of it.
'Korra is going to have to not rely on your old character favourites' - SEE. They get it, why tf can't you?
I've been waiting for you guys to see this episode since season 3 of the Last Airbender. When you reacted to that and were talking about how you wanted to see them as adults, it was killing me to hold it in lol.
I love this episode because it connects Legend of Korra with the Last Airbender and secrets revealed from the past.
"I had to become someone else"
Did Eric mouth "become something else"?
Calvin - "That's why Tarrlock framed the Separatists..."
But the War is over! Lord Sidious promised us peace!
I've been waiting for their reactions to the flashback and Amon vs Tarrlok since the guys first started watching.
I was not disappointed.
Yakone's "mutation" is that he can bloodbend without the full moon, unlike other water benders
2:32 No, she can’t metalbend because it’s platinum, and there aren’t any earth particles inside it
The flashback in this episode is on my top 3 moments for this season of Korra.
Can't wait for upcoming weeks, we're closing in.
