    Subbed. 5:50 “no, no we hear that again, my channel my rules” killed me haha I always find myself backtracking that part with other reactions. Didn’t have to do that with you, you did it for me.

    Athleticism. Perfectly worded! Will is amazing. Fan for life since I started watching musicians breakdown and analyze vocals. Never would have found some of the new music I now listen to without y’all. Keep rocking, my friend.

    I _really_ like syncopation in the second breakdown done by Will's vocals. I absolutely love it when Lorna Shore does cool rhythmic things like that, such as the triplets used in To the Hellfire just before the first breakdown; I like how Austin on the drums does the triplet figures first, and then Will does those next. It's truly a mark of great composition when each musician can pass around and play with certain motifs and rhythmic figures as seamlessly as Lorna Shore do.

    Awesome video. I appreciate this through your ears because you appreciate the musicianship. The skill level of this band is insane. I've seen some reactors say this is like the same as their newest ep and yeah to a degree it is, but that's their style. As a drummer myself idk how the hell Austin their drummer pulls this off so consistently but I have also seen them live and they were great. Nice to see some love for their new track and I honestly think some non musicians don't realize how difficult this stuff is to play

      i suspect he may use the swivel technique on his feet.... at the very least I'd say he's double stroking with heel - toe.
      Thanks for the comment!! Welcome to the channel :)

      @@TempleMusicAcademy I think he does use heel toe method. If he is single stroking sixteenth notes at 260 plus bpm for a full set I'd be really impressed. Regardless the heel toe method is a hard thing to acquire and do well. And thank you! Subscribed right away. Look forward to future videos!

      I've seen some people criticize them as well for it being sort of the same but that's how they do it. Fast drums, sick guitar solos, and monster breakdowns. I've also seen people not like some of the other Slaughter to Prevail songs after Demolisher because they threw in some cleaner vocals. You just can't please everyone but regardless, Lorna Shore has come back with a banger.

      My thing about some of the reactors saying sounds similar to the EP I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. EP's typically are a sign of a transition in their music and I think that's true with the addition of Will. They aren't changing who they are at all but adding onto with the change they had with everything that happened. They got a vocal god in the deathcore genre and they are making it their own.

    • @stephengumpert378
      @stephengumpert378 2 года назад +2

      They've only put out four songs with Will and the only two songs that sound vaguely similar are this and Of the Abyss. I wish people would give them a break until the album comes out

    Immediately subscribed 👍 perfect analysis! I am already addicted to this song.... I scrolled through your channel, am not sure if you know about Persefone? From the very small country of Andorra, this is the most attractive progressive Metal Band on this planet. Their musicianship is also absolutely outstanding, their ideas and precision is unbelievable, the last two albums EVERY song an absolute cracker. If you find the time and are interested I'd recommend Living waves or Merkabah..... Cheers Matty 🤘

    I have played guitar since I was a pre-teen. Been in band/orchestra in middle and high school and I have to say your reviews are awesome. I feel like I need to hear a musician review Deathcore etc because they can also peel back the layers and hear 3 dimensionally as well so I don’t feel nuts when people say “why do you listen to music like this etc.” These are the same people who listen only to their local radio/top 40 trash…I want to say I listen to it because I LISTEN TO IT….I DONT JUST HEAR IT AND TAP MY BULBOUS FOOT….I crave complexity, power and emotion in my music.

    Funny, when I was a teen and I'd showed music like this to my teachers (like 15+ years back) they'd all look at me like ''wtf dude'' and shut it down without even giving it more than 10 seconds.
