You prolly dont give a shit but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
New ballad changes are great. What an experience it must have been to see this live in this venue. I'd definitely pay some $$$ to have my ears ring for a week straight.
It is so worth it man. I saw them live over the summer and it was loud but GODLY. My ears did not ring at all, in fact the sound of hearing crown live is honestly the best sound my ears have ever experienced
Lol, as a percussionist I couldn’t keep my eyes off the hornline last few years. While they’re still great, I couldnt agree more with you. Their drumline is quite fantastic this year, wierdly enough
It's funny, same caption head but remarkable difference not just in level of playing but in snare tuning. I always thought their snares sounded yucky in the past, not cleanliness wise necessarily, just the sound itself.
They have a very diverse group handling the battery. Lots of experience in other corps and WGI. The musicality of Thom's writing is still there but you can hear a lot of East coast corps sound in their book. Plus Mark Thurston has been with them a few times this year.
Stephen Mandt I saw this live, and the opener is unfortunately all that impressed me. I wasn’t a fan of this show this year. FANTASTIC opener; weak show.
marching band/drum corp music doesn't really have a repetition and/or style to it. There is a theme, but there isn't something that you can stick to. It feels like the notes are just random and you can't really get into a mood
Succulent Ravioli are you on drugs? What do you mean “No style” there is so much emotion in these pieces and Carolina is big and bold so if you don’t like corps music then don’t watch the videos. 👏👏
@@playboy_5.0 can you help me give a style for this piece right here? edit: also can you tell which emotion this piece is giving as well? I only listened to this piece because a friend sent it to me.
@Conflux yeah, but I meant the music by itself Edit: the fact that they have to move and show impressive visuals and body to suffice the entertainment is even the more reason why the music isnt as good
@@succulentravioli954 this music style is crown, each corp has their own style of writing the like to stick to. Like bluecoats and blue devils has a very modern almost jazz feel to their music where cadets and cavilers have more of a traditional style. Also this is not the best written show tbh, I love this show to death but still. If you want a better show imo you could look at crown 2013 or 19, bluecoats 2014 or 16. On the emotion side of things, it changes throught out the whole show, like the opener is kind of dark and exciting, like something is coming, where as the balled feels like someone is facing in love but there's again something coming to take it away( this show is kinda a bad example for this) Also I know this is 3 years later but I love talking about stuff like this so I couldn't resist lol.
PIT'S ENERGY DURING BLOW IT UP START AGAIN IS 🔥
Daniel Xaverius Sagala right they went off!

That PIT has some awesome visuals
8:20 Jesus that gave me chills haha what a great way to end a ballad
best part of the show imo
Hornline guy here. Wow couldnt keep my attention of the drumline.
Same, they really stepped it up this year.

What do you mean they were the only ones moving lol
This show will never not give me chills
I was one of the lucky few to play this with them at symposium and lord it was insane
Carson Miller I played in it too, what do you play
iTechhh Mello
Carson Miller I talked to a lot of mellos, I don’t remember you
Looking back to this show, snares and tenors were exceptionally clean. Possibly Crown's best since 2013/14. Beast deserved much better than 4th.
Some shows I can listen to while I work, and some I can't keep my eyes off of no matter how many times I listen. Here's one of them.
yo I’m literally right there in the front row to the left. Felt bad for the people sitting near the speakers
Bigalow45 I was in front of the speakers and my ears were ringing by the end of it. I was scared I would go deaf.
This whole video gave me chill ugh i love band so much
I live for the front ensemble's energy
Lmao, the pit literally dabbed at 11:00
half-dab maybe
gave me a whole new perspective of the show
Yes CC love the show. Wow, that drum line are beast.
Trombones sounding cleaner than a newly bought bathtub :D
I really hope the final sets are kind of like inferno's with the crown set setup and then execution
Betcha the second to last set before the "phalanx" at the end is the Crown set.
The Brass sounds so good and powerful!
WOWWW THIS BALLAD
*Fantástico, Saudações do Brasil*
I cant even imagine listening to them in a gym
What even....that was AMAZING
NEW BALLAD???
R O P E yep
That new ballad is fire. I'm digging that trombone slide in. Scared the hell out of me at the STL show.
I'm anxiously waiting for someone to upload the STL show...
Impressive new take on it.. Cant wait to hear it out in the field.
it sounds the same to me?
I was there for this!!!
8:20
10:18 the pit omfg
Anyone who says percussion isn't the best section in music is lying
Not necessarily. Every section needs eachother.
Shot at 10:52
The cord at 10:13 is my FAVORITE
Y'all our band director decided to do blow it up start again as a stands tune this year please send help
That's lit.
Ballad release was the loudest thing I've ever heard oh no
I haven't seen this show in person yet this year - is that first hit with the horns as epic as it seems?
Stephen Mandt oh yes, it’s amazing, check out my other video
I saw it recently while on a trip and it was magical omg it was so good
Stephen Mandt I saw this live, and the opener is unfortunately all that impressed me. I wasn’t a fan of this show this year. FANTASTIC opener; weak show.
My left ear really likes this
The pit goes fucking hard

10:20 synth dab
That snare rim shot at 10:52 tho...

I'm convinced. It's Crown's to lose this year.
Biggest joke in drum corps. play something besides the same old B flat crap.
