@@antoniomosley9410 I did, Marvin Hagler is one of my favorite fighters in general. But old school boxers didn't have the slick footwork, angle changes and rope escapes like the new class does. The boxers back then laid the foundation but the boxers of today are just better and that's just something that applies to any discipline.

Heck his opponents Literally will punch and keep their heads in the same position/location which gave him a easy target. None of the opponents from what I've seen even when looking at top ranked opponents would change angles like a old Foreman did. Where is the parrying? Where is the variety of jabs and hooks?

@MarzoTercermes McGirt was just talking about how he had to convince his fighter to stop the fight. At the time of the interview Dadashev was on the way to the hospital. So Bud didn't know the final outcome then. And he kept talking how it was so important to keep his fighter safe, to survive the fight and live to see another day in his career.

Knowing what that man was fighting for and why he didn't want to give up. He literally fought to his death to give his wife and son everything. It's amazing eye watering story of heart and determination but also a sorrowful and heartbreaking story of a young man who died in the pursuit of something great. You can big man was afraid for him and wanted to save his life and knowing how things unfold later makes it devastating to hear

Matias is a 1 dimensional fighter that takes a lot of punches. He can't fight from distance at all, all his strong punches are hooks from the inside. Someone that has power and speed and can control the distance beats him easy. Ryan, Teo, and Devin would beat him easily.

What makes Matias dangerous is his jab, his ability to cut off the ring and his infighting/being dangerous in the clinch. Matias knows how to reach his opponents because he knows how to cut off the ring and Matias is 5"10 with a 72 inch reach. He has a very good ability to shorten his punches which increases his accuracy. Matias knows how to slip his shots in between his opponents loops. Check the Ponce fight to see Matias utilize this. If you hold Matias you're getting beat up. Matias throws 100 punches a round and he only throws more when the rounds get deeper.
I would like to see Matias adding some more head and waist movements

It's important at the very highest level. He's got that lean, and hardened body like another Monster. 120lb champ Naoya Inoue.
Watch the fight in slow mo and you will notice that those punches are not hitting properly.

This guy is so talented. Its inevitable for his path to cross with the American primadonna super lightweights / Jr welterweights like Haney. Is Shakur a 140 lber or still at 135? That would be a great matchup, but I'd love to see Matias put an ass whoopin on Devin Haney. Teofimo Lopez is the best in that division imo, and Tank Davis is right there with him. Matias seems to have a different style than those guys though. Looks like Breidis Prescott is the best fighter on his resumé, and Breidis is (was) great. Exciting times in these lower divisions.
