Honestly with all the new rules there should be a booth review for questionable ref calls. Why not? After all, refs make mistakes just like players, and one bad call can change the outcome of a game. I know they won't do it though, makes too much sense.
The announcers said at the top of the broadcast the head ref was a Ohio native. Why the heck would they put themselves in this situation where people could easily think this ref is making calls overwhelmingly in favor of the Ohio team. Makes no sense. I would have done exactly what McDaniel did there with throwing back to back challenge flags so that it would get the attention it deserves. This Ref and his crew need to be investigated.
Oh heck yeah. All you have to look at is when the league approved the challenging of pass interference. Mike Tomlin was on the committee that recommended it and he had two obvious calls that should have been reversed where it appeared that the refs threw or didn't throw a flag as if to say go ahead challenge it. Both calls on the field were upheld. I think all calls on the field were upheld for PI challenges that season. You don't even have to look at calls that go toward players that are liked by the refs vs those that have a bad boy reputation. Richard Sherman would get away with a lot more that would be called against a less likable DB.
More proof that its rigged. How many times can you make a mistake at a job without getting fired. If refs keep making bad calls and keep their jobs. The outcome of the game was probably predetermined.
Yes to everything you said. Rigged, incompetent and vindictive. Sports has gone down the tubes, all of them. over 70 percent of the players and coaches are black they constantly are talking about racism and ware racist slogans on there helmets and fields. WTF?
Refs have definitely been horrible with their calling of questionable or bad penalties at times. It’s not a new thing by any means but certainly has got worse or so it seems with every passing year. They clearly have or do protect top quarterbacks like Mahomes and Brady. Brady was treated a lot like Mahomes in that a defensive player couldn’t touch him without drawing a penalty 99% of time or so it seemed. It’s understandable why people say refs and or the league in general are taking the tackle out of tackle football with so many rules geared toward player safety especially with quarterbacks nowadays. I get that player safety is important but there is seemingly only so much you can do in a hard hitting and in many ways dangerous contact game like tackle football where part of the game is to make what at times is inevitably going to be hard contact when attempting or making a tackle. Rigged or not rules in football today definitely are making it harder for some teams who seem get unfairly penalized more than others while other teams seemingly are made the beneficiaries of bad calls by the refs.
The more impact that replay has the more referees are making poor calls. I noticed this when it was first introduced. It's like fixing something with someone looking over your shoulder
The Brooks tackle needs audio because you can hear the moment they whistle the play dead after he start going backwards and the tackle to the ground came a bit late after the whistle. The challenges lost almost back to back, left me a bit clueless. The Huntley slides was a bad spot of the ball and the pass in the backfield was either lateral or backwards, they barely looked at it, this was weird. I know camera angles can be tricky but this was quite obvious not a forward pass.
I think the NFL is run by the mafia or something. How the dinky heck do explain Lamar Johnson (the Ravens QB) who was incredible at rushing last year, rush so little in the AFC Title Game??? They then barely lost that game. If Lamar would’ve run more they would’ve probably smoked the Chiefs.
I asked the same question about CJ Stroud. How does a rookie QB play well with his backup offensive line for the whole season. Then in the 2nd season look like a completely different player with his starting offensive line.
Because Lamar was told NOT to scramble and the Ravens were told by the league that they couldn’t use their #1 rushing offense against the Chiefs because they were scripted to lose that game and if they ran the ball it might jeopardize the Ravens losing the game. So Lamar stayed in the pocket, refused to scramble for extra yards, not use his #1 rushing offense, and just throw dink and dunk 3-4 yard passes, most of them incompletions.😂😂😂
Need to give the head coaches a gold flag. Automatic ejection of an official for calls this terrible. Give them $50 for food and tell them to go wait on the plane.
i think most likely it’s a combination of many factors: officials being spoiled rotten, collusion with gambling companies, and certain teams being more profitable than others. whatever the case is, there has clearly been a growing issue with official accountability since at least the early 00s (the steelers-hawks super bowl being the oldest example i’m aware of). there’s no way it’s all some kind of wwe type show, but still, officiating is blatanly fixed in favor of certain outcomes in most games.
When George Kittle mentioned something about the scriptwriters wrote a script for Brock Purdy to have a bad game. Then on top of that he didn't get fined for that comment last season. Its right your face and the players don't hide it.

One of the reasons we have instant replay and coaches challenges and help from New York is because the refs were getting bad. In 2023, Taylor Swift just happened to "fall in love" with a member of the team that went on to win the Superbowl. Yeah, I've had quite enough of the NFL.
How about Jennings from the 49ers blocking Terrion Arnold into the endzone wall and continuing the block while they were both on the ground after the play was done.
I realized the BFL was rigged after the 2023 Lions vs Cowboys play. Hutchinson tripped a Cowboys player and then the refs through a flag on the Cowboys so that the Lions good get the stop. Then, when the Lions should have won the game with that 2 pt pass to Taylor Decker, they said that Dan Skipper didn’t report as eligible when he 109% did. So the NFL got their close game while allowing the Cowboys to still win
The one thing I agree with is starting DTR over Winston, just proves they want to lose. That is why as a Dolphins fan I didn’t get too confident over this win. And yes McDaniel is horrible at challenges, but I did think that was a lazy backwards pass
It's just very bad officiating. The game has changed so much from when I started watching in the 70s...and even with instant replay (which is not instant...often taking a few minutes to decide), they often get it wrong.
So someone answer me this, if the NFL is truly rigged favoring the Chiefs, why did the Bengals beat them in the AFC Championship game in 2021 in Arrowhead and go to the Super Bowl that year?
I think the problem is there is the possibility of rigging. Team fails to get a first down? Defensive holding 5 yard and a first down. Hands to the face 5 yards and a first down. Team moving the ball to well? Holding or hands to the face and don’t forget the rare offensive pass interference. Refs control the tempo and momentum. My favorite ref crews are the ones that keeps the hanky in their pants and does so equally for both teams. Only penalize the egregious. As John Harbaugh is known to tell the refs “Don’t guess” As they say “Just let them play”.
It's rigged when the steelers lose, because refs are so picky. It's like everything we do is a no-no. It's also like the steelers are no longer allowed in anymore super bowls.
Coming from the Steelers fan base, it is rigged and George Pickens pissed them off and hasn't drawn many flags and his catches are mostly called back to an action of another player. Fact Check me. Refs are champion makers or champion breakers. Football Pharaohs
The NFL is scripted and rigged from the league office, to the owners, to the coaches, to the refs, to the training staff, and down to the players. When one is watching an NFL game they must understand they are merely watching fake football and actors on a gridiron stage. NFL teams don’t use practice to better the team they use them to practice the script the NFL gave them for the upcoming game. Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker all of a sudden forgetting how to kick a dam football through the uprights for 9 weeks, then all of a sudden he can’t miss anymore! All a part of the script! 😂😂😂 Any injuries that happen in an NFL game whether major or minor are merely accidents and a part of just doing business and part of the operating budget and expenses of the NFL who has surgeons on retainer in every NFL city.

1:20. letting Jameis on a football field or an uber is a fireable offense. Might as well give the kid some reps, who knows?
Referees are deciding the outcome of NFL games every week. Certain teams are treated differently when it comes to calls.
It's just very bad officiating. The game has changed so much from when I started watching in the 70s...and even with instant replay (which is not instant...often taking a few minutes to decide), they often get it wrong.
That was 100% a backwards pass
It isn't rigged, it's just that the refs suck.
As John Harbaugh is known to tell the refs “Don’t guess”
As they say “Just let them play”.
it's definitely predetermined nowadays
It's rigged when the steelers lose, because refs are so picky. It's like everything we do is a no-no. It's also like the steelers are no longer allowed in anymore super bowls.
That hit really let the Browns back in the game. Totally rigged.
Coming from the Steelers fan base, it is rigged and George Pickens pissed them off and hasn't drawn many flags and his catches are mostly called back to an action of another player. Fact Check me. Refs are champion makers or champion breakers. Football Pharaohs
You should know. The Steelers superbowl against the Seahawks opened my eyes. The refs were just making up calls against the Seahawks in that game.
@targetegrat true story, they cheated so bad that my ex that is from Washington dumped my azz hahaha
blud played the game and got a flag 😭
Needed a clip of the Rolando McClain suplex tackle lol
The NFL is scripted and rigged from the league office, to the owners, to the coaches, to the refs, to the training staff, and down to the players. When one is watching an NFL game they must understand they are merely watching fake football and actors on a gridiron stage. NFL teams don’t use practice to better the team they use them to practice the script the NFL gave them for the upcoming game.
Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker all of a sudden forgetting how to kick a dam football through the uprights for 9 weeks, then all of a sudden he can’t miss anymore! All a part of the script! 😂😂😂
Any injuries that happen in an NFL game whether major or minor are merely accidents and a part of just doing business and part of the operating budget and expenses of the NFL who has surgeons on retainer in every NFL city.
I think the owners are all in. It’s not about individual teams but rather the brand (NFL) when the league makes money all owners share in the wealth.
